This had to be one of the worst salads I’ve ever had along with a side of wet halloumi and old avocado. The lettuce was old and wet as well.

I recently tried Tossed for the first time, and after being let down by so many other popular spots, I'm thrilled to have discovered this place. The food is incredibly fresh, the portions are generous, and the taste is absolutely delicious. As someone on a health journey, I'm finding this to be an excellent choice. Thank you to the team

Normally really enjoy their salads, but this time the portion was halved and the grains were missing from my order.

Great salads made with fresh vegetables - tasty, healthy, reasonably priced. What else can we ask for? The atmosphere is fine - as expected from a salad bar. Don't expect candles and a live band and do not take your date there - it may send the wrong message.

Big thumbs down to this location, specifically their service. The staff is unprofessional, untrained and perhaps even uninterested. Ordered double chicken w/ brocolli today. Walked up to the pickup counter and could clearly see it was a single chicken portion. Asked the staff if he could make it a double. He looked at me, looked at the box and put the lid on it and passed the box over to me. Not a word was said! I mean, I paid £8 for that, have the decency to confirm if I could be right. Maybe you're dealing with a customer with 100+ Tossed orders and knows your portion sizes and menu backwards! See this picture and tell me if that is a double chicken portion.

A comida estava bastante saborosa. As opções são bastantes e ainda podes adaptar e costumizar a opção selecionada. Um pouco desorganizado para levantar o que foi pedido e faltou o recibo que escolhi envio por email e nunca chegou. Também dá para encomendar o que me pareceu melhor opção pois é so levantar, acaba por ser mais prático.

Every time I am in here - everyone is so friendly! The manager is super friendly too - and helpful when I asked about my "plastic free" ways - they offer a "bring your own container" option - which makes me choose this salad bar over others!

Good people FOH good ingredientes, just like prepandemic. One little flaw today, the Parkham crisps... not crispy at all, probably cooked. As per the rest of the salad, delicious!

I just had a chicken salad, and as simple as that sounds it was AMAZING. Slightly long wait, but it was lunchtime and this is a busy area so that's hardly unexpected, and was well worth it for the quality of the food.

Not a great experience at all. No clear information on the process (ie ordering, pick up, etc), told to head and queue for the counter to pick up my order, which then turned out to actually be at the front amongst the other Deliveroo orders. This was for hot food, therefore food was almost cold. No cutlery was in the order/bag. Parts of someone else's order was also in my bag (bonus for me I suppose). Overall Katsu curry was just a dry selection of chicken, mushrooms, rice and pickled veg - the large was also, not large.

I just want to say I went to this store for the first time at about 6.15pm, and there was a lady there who really helped me chose my food. She was extremely helpful. The gentlemen who made the wrap was very good the wrap was so delicious. Could taste the freshness of the salad. I will be going again. I hope you can say thank you again to the staff that served me today. Thank you

I like the fresh salads (the salmon salad in particular). Friendly service but portions are a bit small.

Nice staff... But the prices have become mad. Renaming a small salad to medium doesn't fool anyone. £7.80 for a small quinoa salad with ridiculous portions is just a rip-off, no matter that this is the City of London. Never ever again!

Don't get fooled by the box size because apparently they only fill it halfway! 🙄 I took the small ones because I thought the box is quite big, but apparently it's only filled half full. Seriously such a very big disappointments. Although the taste was ok, not so bad. I had a Curry Katsu with pulled chicken. Not the best I'd say.

Great place to grab a bite to eat during lunch. What makes it even better is a staff member of yours, I think her name is Luana. She is Really vibrant, produces outstanding services everytime, always smiling and has great energies. The same for the rest of the team also. Except for the manager (I think he's the manager) , I notice that its him that brings down the energies a little within the crew. However I could be wrong. None the less. Good place to be

Salad bar has a wide variety of different ingredients to customise your own salad (or select from a list of pre-made options); and it's all prepared in front of you. Tasty, nutritious and all fresh tasting as well; great lunch option in the Finsbury Square area.

It's a great viby place. And no matter how busy it gets, you're always greeted with a smile. I sometimes pop in after work on my way home for a salad and staff are great. I always have an interesting chat with Zizzie.

Been here many times and had very good service. The food is actually very good and there's one member of staff, called I think 'Merry', who's so friendly and nice. It's not easy serving the public, but sh'es always so cheerful, good on you 'mam!

Nice salad (you can build your own from a selection of items), friendly servers. Having discovered this place on a trip to London for a meeting, I'd certainly go there again, though I did think it was quite pricey for a snack. My main reason for posting is a grumble: I was in a rush and didn't notice until afterwards that I wasn't given a card slip or VAT receipt - meaning I won't be able to claim back on expenses. Shouldn't a receipt be given automatically? I don't usually have to remember to ask.

For a fast food joint which pushes health and salads foremost, these guys do the best job they can at hiding any nutritional information. Once you do some serious digging, you can see why. Most of their salads rock in at 600+ calories. I wanted a place to grab a low cal, veg laden lunch. While I got the latter I had to skip dinner to offset the former. They get a point for being tasty. They lose all other points because I witnessed a food contamination incident while being served. My salad containded some bacon. While being measured the server managed to spill bacon into over a dozen pots containing vegetables. No effort was made to clean this up after I was served, as I hung back for a few minutes to watch. Other customers were served from these pots. I know it's not an allergen but come on guys plenty of people avoid pork and meat will probably come to your place.

Concur with other posts. Used to be the best salad chain store by a solid margin. Weekly visits before. Now theyve just cut costs, options, sizes, and increased prices. Not worth it at all anymore. Real shame, was a huge fan.

Had a chicken caesar salad, seemed very much like leftovers from the previous day, not a good experience. Would not recommend Vital ingredient.

This used to be the favourite lunch spot for the entire office but now they've taking basic items off the menu and the salad today was just awful. just wanted a simple salad nicoise (as always) but they don't have basic items anymore they used to have... no red or white onions (just pickled onions - yak), no potatoes, no kale & pesto dressing. The leaves of the salad were hard and the entire thing just tasted like nothing. Sadly, I will never return to Vital.

1. Removed prawns from their menu (no prawns... in a salad place. What are they even thinking?) 2. Removed ability to order custom salads from their app (forcing you to queue in their massively overcrowded store) 3. Jacked up their prices. Have been buying salads here 2-4 times a week for a year. Just lost me as a customer.

ordered online through deliveroo and was pleased with the fast delivery and cheap prices but as soon as it arrived I realized why the delivery was so fast. I ordered scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, and spinach all of which were haphazardly thrown on top of cold scrambled eggs and not heated up. The cheese wasn't even melted. I had to put it through the microwave for a couple minutes before it was at all edible. The smoothie I ordered was barely blended and was also the most unappetizing shade of brown that I was concerned to even take a sip. Spend your money elsewhere.

Food is always very good but the ordering system needs an enigma machine to figure out, especially in the lunchtime rush when under pressure with a queue behind you.

The employee who made my breakfast bowl didn’t know about the basic ingredients, which was concerning, especially for people with allergies (does the granola have raisins? ‘No.’ her colleague closeby: ‘yes it does’). She was also not friendly and rushed me even though I was the first person in at 7:30. She put in about 4 blueberries after I saw how unripe the mango looked and I was charged £0.65 for that extra ingredient. The sizes of the bowls look to have dramatically decreased with no accompanying change in price obviously, but I will say it’s actually still quite a good amount of food-they could just work on the proportions a bit. The coconut yogurt is delicious though. The coffee guy was nice and friendly, but the checkout girl was also less than chirpy. Wouldn’t go back to this location unless theres a change in attitude or staff. Lastly, the bags are designed for your item to go in sideways as if their meals don’t have yogurt/milk/salad dressing that will spill everywhere and make a mess, eep.

First visit and probably last. Staff are friendly and efficient. They have a wide range of salads and other food. I had a nacho salad and a fruit salad and found the ingredients to be of poor quality. The veggies and fruit are close to tasteless leaving me feeling very dissatisfied with my lunch. There are plenty of other salad bars around that serve high quality ingredients for similar prices.

Good salads but a little expensive

Great tasty and healthy menu for breakfast and lunch. Takes longer than usual to get your meal prepared and finally pay.

I avoid the salads as the ingredients tend to taste like water. The soups are good, but very bad management and you can end up waiting 10 minutes and in the end having only one out of the three displayed soups available. That happened almost half of the time in the last few weeks.

I will just give you my recipe for one of the best salads ever: mixed leaves, chicken, falafel, tomato, onion, mozzarella cheese, (with soy-sesame-ginger dressing) for £6.45, I also recommend using the Orogo app to place orders if you go to Vital regularly, you won't need to queue ever again.

Great fresh healthy salad options - choose your own ingredients, or one of their combinations. Can be on the pricey side, but every Friday it's 50% off after 14:30 (if you can hold off lunch that long!), which has convinced me to become a regular.

Salads are pricey but the range of ingredients to choose from is quite wide and staff are very efficient Great for lunch breaks.

This was my first visit to Vital Ingredient and it was a huge disappointment. Arriving just after 2pm most of the hot options were unavailable which is to be expected. I asked for the thai green curry with brown rice only to be told that the only thing left was quinoa as a base. Going ahead with that option I had to stop the server from dishing up the paltry amount of curry left as there was nowhere near a full portion amount left so opted for the chilli con carne. Sadly my take on this is slightly different from Vital Ingredient's as I normally put beef in my chilli! Theirs mostly comprised of beans and chilli with a very small amount of mince and to make matters worse the quinoa was massively overcooked leading to it starting to either break down or stick together. I had to remove 2 big lumps which had all stuck together. Luckily I could just stab it with my fork! Not somewhere I will be visiting again in a hurry
