Went for coffee last week and discovered that this cafe had closed down. It must have closed within the last few weeks. Always thought that it was quite popular.

Free mince pie. It tastes fine, but the size is more of a mini-pancake... Why?? I also had flat white filled only to half a cup of a dead man hot.Someone serving me wasn't very welcoming, maybe tired . of customers. Was still hungry, so had to buy another cup of _hot_ coffee, tuna jacket potato . Feels better, was served by someone much more cheerful. Otherwise I used to like this place. Actually food tastes good here, as a rule.

You are locked in after 21.30 and have a half mile walk to get back to thd high street because they can't control there own premises, not a good way to treat there customers.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a brilliant send-off for my wife, Lesley, at The Anson Pub in Wallsend, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make the day special. Their attentiveness and warmth truly made a difference, ensuring that everything went smoothly. The atmosphere of the pub was delightful and perfectly complemented our celebration. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of variety to cater to all our guests. I was particularly impressed by how the staff managed to accommodate our requests, making everyone feel welcome and celebrated. If you're looking for a venue that offers both fantastic service and a cozy atmosphere for your next gathering, I wholeheartedly recommend The Anson Pub. Thank you to the team for making Lesley's send-off a memorable occasion! Rick.
