Treasure Express (Flint Hill) in County Durham

Before Christmas, they charged me more for my food...had to phone up & they realised they did charge me more, and sent the deriver back out with my change. After the new they missed my chicken balls & then adamant they didn't, but sent them out anyway with free prawn crackers. Just be aware, as I've never had issues in the past with these. Might have to find another nice Chinese!!!

My only go to Chinese food is amazing the lady on the counter is lovely .wouldn't ever go anywhere else

Treasure Express offers great value with reasonable prices and generous portion sizes. The food is consistently delicious, especially the duck, which is tender, flavorful, and a must-try! Whether dining in or taking out, the quality and quantity make it a go to spot.

I must be missing something with the whole point of a delivery service as this takeaway only offer delivery with cash only. Delivery is supposed to be convenient but I have no option to actually pay by card. This means that we must go out and get cash so I’ve marked service and atmosphere as one star only as basic payment methods seem difficult for them. Food is marked low also as because we couldn’t get to taste it. Very Disappointing indeed

Salt &pepper chicken was so bland absolutely no flavour to it no spice what so ever just chicken it batter chicken didn’t really have taste batter made it really dry

Worst salt and pepper chicken/chips I’ve had. Scrawny hard bits of twisted chicken with barely any seasoning. Barely edible. Not cheap either.

Food is really nice but you do pay a slightly higher price for the quality but it's worth it

Tried it for the first & last time, salt and pepper chips are just salt, salt and pepper chicken just bland, all binned and wishing didn’t bother, glad I did so know just to sick with my original place

This place is the best Chinese takeaway near us. Better than restaurant quality food. Nice staff and no mistakes made on orders. Can be abit of a wait for food or an answer on the phone when ordering but that is due to it being so busy because of the quality of food. Favourite dish - duck in plumb sauce (sliced duck breast)

Chips were burned and the satay tasted nothing like satay was like very salty gravy curry was the same very bland no taste

Best chinese around. Salt and pepper chicken, mushroom fried rice and beef in black pepper sauce was amazing. Always amazing service and proper lovely people always.

Have used this takeaway for over 12 years and in the past 2 months it has been an absolute shambles despite us giving the benefit of the doubt,either under new management or different chief,had better food from Iceland. Also the young lady who answers the phone has no idea how to conduct herself with the general public. We will never use this again

Started going here when visiting family years ago, family have since moved, I drive from Hexham and still visit regularly, food is top notch, staff are great. Cantonese deep fried mixed meat with everything.... mmmmmm 😋

Second takeaway from here - first time was great not quite so happy this time around but these things happen and could have been down to our choices.

This is a takeaway I spent 28 pound and the food was terrible. I have eaten takeaway from here for many years ,im not sure whats happened but the quality off food has go e done a lot. The last twice the food was not very good poor quality especially the chicken. I won't be eating here again

Consistently ok food, order long ribs luck of draw as you can get some really fatty shorts ones for some reason, for the price they now charge, quality of food for price isn’t in my opinion worth it and doesn’t seem to be value for money.

Always a warm welcome meals are good value and well presented love the curry sauce

My favorite Chinese takeout. It's a bit more expensive but the portions are very generous and the taste makes it worth it. Generally get salt n pepper squid, sweet and sour balls, peaking chicken, special noodles and/or a special rice, fried rice chips and gravy. Free prawn crackers and delivery. Staff are always friendly and polite

what an absolute joke!!..frozen chips and the smallest portions i have ever experienced from a take away chinese....never again a very expensive mistake

This is probably the best Chinese takeaway in the North East.

Ordered salt and pepper chicken and soft noodles, i didn't get what i ordered. chicken pieces. where not salt and pepper no chilli or spring onion in them at all. the noodles where that thin i thought they where vermicelli. nicely presented in boxes. portion size good. pricing a bit much at £11-20 £1.20 delivery noodles are £3.40 =£4.60 so £6.60 for a portion of chicken pieces is a bit pricey.

Good food, closed on Wednesdays, don't accept debit cards , cash only

I really don't know how this place gets such good reviews. Ordered food for 2 people, £40 usual Chinese £29 but they were closed. Omelette was burnt, chicken overcooked and rubbery, rice awful, chips burnt and they sent curry sauce instead of gravy. All food was vile.

Excellent selection of meals. Food is lovely & hot. Brilliant staff and reasonable prices.

No idea how this place gets its good reviews based on our first and what will be our only order. Starters were so over-cooked they must have been reheated and the skewered chicken was like rubber. Our Chinese curry had very little flavour. Shame cos the rice was good. Expected much better quality for the price.

The only negative for this little gem is that the portions are huge and you can't stop eating cos the food's so good.

Had king prawn fried rice delivered, arrived less than ten mins after ordering, I know why, tasteless, nothing in but rice, which appeared to be microwaved not fried and some dubious quality king prawns plonked on top, no onions, peas or anything else... Won't be back

My giant tiger prawns in schezaun sauce was really awful. It wasn't cheap, and under all the batter it was hard to find the prawns and when you did it was dry and tough, sauce was too thick and gloopy. Also had chicken in chilli and garlic and the chicken was dry and stringy.

This was the 1st time I had tried their meals , took15 mins that wasn't long, I thoroughly enjoyed it had to share it as it was to much for me reasonably price

Love the food and service. Always accomodate variations and fully explain them. My daughters partner from Southport travels from Norwich where he is working and still maintains this is the best.

Clearly very busy, however food was ready when they said it would. Bonus it was totally delicious.

absolutely vulgar spent best part 20quid and was vile first time I ever chuck a takeaway in the bin tasted like a tub of salt had been poured in our chow mein meat was dry as out delivered to door In 12 minutes so definitely not cooked fresh to order stay well clear over priced as out aswell

Very disappointed - not used this take away before but it was recommended by a neighbour . I ordered Szechuan King Prawns (or King Prawns in Szechuan sauce as it says on the menu). This is my favourite and I've had it in many different places. What I actually got was King Prawns in a slightly spicy tomato & onion sauce - more like a bland pasta sauce than the dish I was expecting. I know dishes can vary from one chef to another, but this wasn't anything like I've had before - no pineapple, no peppers, no ginger or garlic detectable - nor szechuan pepper & not sweet/sour. Was I given the wrong sauce or is it always like this?
