Two Birds One Stone in Bury

Just had a great birthday lunch. Sunday roast was amazing, best one ever. Salmon dish was also superb, drinks and service made the day really special so thank you to the whole team. If you haven't been here before please give it a try you wont be disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit.

Took my mother and wife for breakfast wish i hadnt .first of all when we walked in we were greeted by such a misarable server .when we waz eventually seated if felt like a lifetime before we got our drinks we ordered 3 breakfasts when they arrived parts were cold and sausages n bacon were overcooked..we told the server and her reply was there cooked day before and looked smug .we all could not believe this .will defiantly not be returning ever again . Truely DISAPPOINTED on a massive scale

So Today was my First time at Two Birds one stone but my Wife has been before and she really likes it and raves about it. So we turned up as a walk in and luckily it wasn't to busy and we were seated at a table in the window. After a few minutes the waitress came and took our drink order, My wine opted for a large glass of Red Wine 🍷 and I ordered a pint of Moretti, drinks came very fast, My Wife enjoyed her glass of Merlot and I really enjoyed my pint of Moretti. For starters my Wife ordered Salt and Pepper Calamari with Lemon and I opted for loaded Nachos(Smashed Avocado, Salsa, sour cream & cheese), My Wife really enjoyed her Calamari and portion size was just enough for her and food was well presented, I really enjoyed my Nachos it was a generous portion. For mains we both went for the Roast Beef with all the trimmings(Carrots, Swede, Roast potatoes, Mash potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower cheese) and a giant Yorkshire pudding with gravy, when the food came Initially I thought the portion was too small but it was actually a perfect portion size. Food was very well presented, The Mash potatoes were creamy, The cauliflower cheese was delicious, The giant homemade Yorkshire pudding was great, The roast potatoes were amazing and the Roast Beef was honestly the best I have ever eaten it was thick cut and tasted amazing, The whole Sunday dinner was the best I have ever eaten. The Bill for two starters, Two mains and Two large glasses of Merlot and Two pints of Moretti came to £81 and we rounded it upto £90. The service was great, Restaurant was spotlessly clean, Polite and friendly staff, Great service, Great value for money and overall a great experience, We highly recommend Two Birds One Stone. Came for breakfast, the food was just ok, the service was quite disappointing and the prices are outrageous. We will not come back.

Great brunch restaurant and cafe in the heart of Whitefield. A popular spot at the weekend, so would always recommend calling ahead to book for large numbers over 3/4 people. A great range of brunch and lunch items including veggie and vegan options. All staff are amazing, extremely attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit for a lovely brunch experience.

Excellent Sunday roast very generous portions

Came back to try the Sunday roast again after a disappointing few times going and it was delicious! Generous portions of all the veg and meat and gravy was lovely. Would recommend.

I've been a few times to this restaurant and always found it pleasant but after today I am sadly not returning. I understand they were having their tills removed and payment methods changed this day but there was no communication. However the staff were so rude and off putting, we felt in the way and forgotten. There was a 45 minute wait for food which if we had known we would have gone elsewhere, but we were not advised and had to chase our lunch dishes from a server in training. When trying to pay we could not get anyone's attention to the point where it felt we were being avoided. one of us had to go to the bar to ask for the bill. We paid and promptly left.

Amazing place! Cosy vibes and service is great, with an excellent selection of breakfast food, especially for vegetarians. Everything was lovely, including the drinks and coffee! We will definitely be back.

Had a really nice brunch here with my family. Good service and really tasty food. The cherry soda drink was particularly nice!

Two Birds One Stone has become a regular thing for us once a month or so and we dont live in that area. Lovely place, really top quality food, two of us have brunch there for well under £40. Its always clean, tidy and very comfortable. The staff are the nicest people we've met, they recognise us when we go now. It's well worth a visit and I'm confident you too will want to go again.

Food is always lovely and staff & owners are great. Never had a meal that I've thought wasn't worth the money.

4 of us ate at two birds one stone yesterday for breakfast. The menus great, the staff were really friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend, heard the Sunday roast is amazing so that’s next on our list.

Superb restaurant - went for an unbooked lunch and didn’t have to wait very long for a table. It’s very clean and bright, the staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent. The best fish finger sandwiches ever! No rough breadcrumb coating - just a beautiful light batter on the goujons. Next time we visit family in the area, we’ll definitely go back. Can highly recommend.

Badly cooked food, coffee with a scum and too noisy to hear a conversation. Can't see why people rave about this unless it was for the excellent staff.

Very busy for a Thursday, but the staff were still very accommodating in helping me with a pram, the service was prompt polite and friendly. The waiting time for food was more than acceptable. The salted caramel for desert was something else. Great lunch all round, will deffo go back

1st time eating at Two Birds & One Stone today, very strange experience. Lovely feel about the place and my food was nice, poached eggs overdone and not runny but no big deal. The strange bit was that I ordered the kids fruit salads each at £3.50, no joke it consisted of half a cut up strawberry each and 8 small blueberries in a tiny plastic bowl, I took a picture it looked so daft and ill attach here if I can but it was laughable. £7 for 1 sole strawberry 🍓and some blueberries. I mentioned to first waitress that must be wrong, she said they ran out of raspberries and will come back, didn't come back so I stopped another to see if she can help, the manager (I think) then came over very defensive, with a whole full cut up strawberry and proceeded to say that this was the normal kids fruit portion size and that they dont normally serve fruit after 11am but they did serve it as an exception (which is a weird thing to say when I was never told, like I should somehow be grateful?) why give me the menu with it on if its problem? I dont know, weird. Anyway the waitress/manager begrudgingly gave my kids a strawberry to share as a “gesture of good will”. 😂 For some strange reason I tipped the nice waitress at the end (one who was very nice) 10% hoping to get some kind of apology for the weird experience but I got nothing, just the managers back to me and my family as we left… nice… Shame, could/should so easily have been a nice meal but ruined it for no reason and now I'm writing a bad review which I've never done before. 🤷‍♂️

Great food, well cooked. One of the best salmon dishes I have had, no pinkness. Reasonably priced as well. Both dishes were still hot on delivery, not always the case elsewhere. Staff friendly and realised and apologised when the drink order was delivered incorrectly . Minor quibble though. Very busy as well so booking recommended. Definitely go back.

Live local and coming in for a while think the chef has changed we like the nachos and beef stefardo which have changed and put us off having again seems as though it’s pre cooked and then warmed up when you order when previously the food felt more fresh We eat in Whitfield every weekend in all the restaurants so I know when the food is not right !!!

Great food, wide menu, breakfast served all day alongside more traditional mains, terrific value, attractive layout/ decor, friendly staff. There are always cakes and brownies on the bar.

Great jacket potatoe with chilli. Huge potatoe and cooked through. Ice cream delish. Will go again.

16 of us came for a meal tonight and all were served hot gorgeous meals at the same time. Everyone loved all of their chosen food mostly from the festive menu. Can't fault anything at all.

Decided to try the new Sunday roast they have added to the menu this weekend and wow. Finally an amazing Sunday lunch available in Whitefield!

Love it here, been for breakfast and dinner on a few occasions. Service is second to none, staff can’t do enough for you, they are all very friendly and helpful. A great food and good atmosphere.

Visited for the first time on a Sunday for breakfast after hearing so many good things. Convenient free parking across the road. The Shakshuka was the best we’ve ever had! Friendly service by all the staff. 10/10. Already booked to come back to try the roast dinner!

We've called in for breakfast on a number of occasion always served on cold or slightly warm plates so food goes cold in no time, bacon over cooked so much so last time I struggle to cut it, toast under done. I normally take the beans off as don't like the taste of them no reduction on the price, what i do object to if I add a slice of bacon how you can justify charging an extra £1.50 to swap an item for something else that is the cheaper price. Most places ask would you like to swop for another item. Nobody asked us was everything alright with our food which is overpriced for what you get we wont be in a rush to return.

Coffee was ok. Chocolate brownie cake was hard and broke into bits. Service good. Separate LA parking to the rear.

Visited for the first time on Friday lunchtime, I couldn't believe how busy it was. Such a lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious. I had the Mediterranean open sandwich which I would definitely recommend with sweet potato fries. Looking forward to returning.

Went for the first time this weekend, food was fabulous so fresh, service was excellent couldn't do enough for you, the only criticism I would say is choice of music wasn't to my liking it was heavy rap with the occasional swear word not great for kids but we laughed it off. It wouldn't Stop me returning just something to consider.

Had a fresh orange juice which was nice. Sat outside on the small terrace. The place was quite busy (11:45am) with people having brunch.

Lovely cafe stumbled on it by acc5glad I did the coffee and toasted tea were delicious

Busy restaurant well staffed all variations of breakfast ànd brunches. We were here for a family breakfast after a wedding. Speciality of potato cakes.

Went to this restaurant earlier today with a huge group (19 of us I think!) for brunch and was incredibly impressed with the restaurant. The owner was absolutely lovely and the waitstaff friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious, and came out impressively quick considering how many people there were. The atmosphere was lovely, overall I'd just really recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much for having us! 😊

Lovely Sunday Roast (vegetarian option) the bread that came with the hummus was SO soft and fresh. Nice inside, slightly small/can get quite loud when it's a full house, tables are quite close together.

Lovely atmosphere, nice selection of brunch and lunches. Nice friendly staff. Food arrived really nice and plenty of it.

Visited for breakfast. Food was ok .. scrambled egg was over cooked .. cold, dry and quite a small portion. They said they were unable to substitute the black pudding which we didn’t want with anything else which was a bit strange so we just asked them to leave it off. The vegetarian breakfast was just ok too. Would have mentioned the cold breakfast if staff came round to check or ask if everything was ok. We tried it. Don’t think we will go again though

Lovely food. Who charges £2 for 1/2 hot and cold water!!! Asked to speak to a manager and nobody could be bothered to come over. Apart from that lovely waiter and food!

Varied menu, tasty good, delightful efficient staff. A tad noisy for my taste (piped music, hard surfaces) but I shall certainly return soon

A very nice place to visit for breakfast. I had the ‘full English’ which was excellent - large portions of all the right ingredients. Beans not exactly to my liking, neither the method of serving tea, but for most people they would probably be OK. Excellent service by a happy, cheerful and well organized waitress. Decent value for money.

First time we have been here. We we thought it was just breakfast and lunch but the have only recently started evening service. The service was very friendly and the food was amazing and a reasonable price. Quite a varied menu so lots to chose from. We will definitely be going back and would recommend you give it a try one night instead of going to the normal places.

Live just around the corner from here and so lucky to have it on our doorstep. Visited for brunch today and it was amazing as usual. Lots of choice for veggies, I had the veggie brekkie and it’s so so good! Staff are really friendly. Only negative I could say is the price of drinks is a little expensive, in comparison to the food prices which are really reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive.

Came out as a treat on my day off. Coffee was lovely. However, sadly food was dry, eggs underdone. Hospitality skills lacking. This was my second visit, first time was lovely, but will not come again. Sorry 😞

Stumbled upon this little gem - an absolute must-visit

The English breakfast is one of the worst I have had, sausage and breads with no taste, baked beans tasted metallic, even my coffee was of poor taste. I was asked if I wanted brown or white toast but not that it was an extra charge and I had to go and request butter. I will not be returning.

Really nice ☺️ a hidden gem 💎 looks a bit unappealing on the outside but the inside looks as nice as an IKEA set up. The food is fresh and delicious I was really shocked to find things like baked beans were home made. The staff are friendly and the prices are more than fair for the big portions ! Thank you!

The perfect breakfast! Had something for everyone in our party, one was vegan and one was gluten-free. Service could’ve been a little quicker but I think they were just short-staffed. Looks small from the front but actually goes quite far back. Booths are comfortable.

Been for breakfast quite a few times now, always a fab experience. Staff are friendly, attentive and polite. Food is gorgeous, we particularly love the greek yoghurt but everything is lovely! Will continue to go here when having a breakfast treat.

I come here every few weeks or as often as I can. Love the food and the brilliant staff and always a great atmosphere. Can’t help but take away a ‘slice’ (more like a slab) of cake with me when I leave because they’re always so delicious! Mine and grandad’s favourite lunch spot ❤️
