Played the cube with my husband and two children (age 9&11) was jolly good fun and even our children managed to win some rounds. shame we couldn’t play all the challenges on one visit.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the experience my group and I recently had at your venue. We attended on Saturday, 14 December, at 7:30 pm for a Cube game to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Based on the information provided online, which stated that the experience could last up to two hours, we planned accordingly and booked a train back to Leeds for 10:00 pm. Unfortunately, we only left the venue at 10:37 pm because we wanted to complete the entire experience, though it was far from enjoyable. Advising online that the experience could last up to two hours was misleading, as it ultimately took over three hours. The issues began with the disorganized nature of the game. Despite our group being ready to scan the QR codes, other participants were sneakily scanning them ahead of us, leaving us waiting for prolonged periods in queues. This caused unnecessary frustration and disrupted the flow of the game. Furthermore, our group was separated and made to play different games, meaning we were unable to enjoy the experience together as a team, which was not what we expected for a group booking. Additionally, the gameplay itself was underwhelming, with each game lasting barely over 30 seconds. At a cost of £52.50 per person—a total of £315 for our group—the value for money was incredibly poor. While the first 30 minutes were enjoyable, the remainder of the experience was dominated by stress as we found ourselves pressed for time. This disorganization and lack of effective management not only impacted our schedule but also significantly dampened the celebratory mood for our friend’s birthday. If your team is unable to manage bookings, logistics, and group coordination effectively, I would strongly suggest employing professionals to address these issues. I’d appreciate it if this could be sent to your Head Office. The whole experience was disappointing, and I’d like to know how this will be sorted. Kind regards, Manos

Rude Staff amd waste of money nothing works as should

Went to the Cube with friends and unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Staff are really rude and the queues are massive. Essentially, you pay £50 to play a maximum of 4 games (as there is a total of 7 cubes you play but what is not explained is that you DON'T get to play all of them). Each game lasts for a few seconds.. What a disgrace.. I would not recommend it.

Really cool. Shame it closes at 9 on weekday for those of us that work weekends or are there in the week for a city break.

Great place if you want something to do with friends. I went for the cube and it was quite fun. There was a lot of waiting around, and you dont actually spend that much time doing the activities, but it was still fun. Would be better if you came with a group of friends and in groups of 4. Otherwise, you get paired with another group of 2, and it might not be as fun. Having a group of friends make the waiting less boring. Some activities (1 of the 6 that I played) were actually physically tiring. So if you're like me and dont normally do much exercise, you might want to do some stretches beforehand. Otherwise, you'll end up having sore thighs like I have.

A great way to spend a few hours, made all the better by Shayan's (sp?) presence. They were super helpful, friendly and added to the game by being brilliant throughout. Thanks

The Cube was great fun, we really enjoyed it. Great laugh and the staff were excellent and professional. I wouldn't have cocktails here they were a pure rip off. We were served ours in a tumbler and if we removed the ice there wasn't even a fingers width of drink for £10. The glass was only half full with drink. The bar person said they would top it up but just re shook the drink then spilt most of it re putting it in the glass. Disappointing.

What a fantastic experience we all had, thank you to everybody at Urban Playground for looking after me and my employees. We will have to come back again, but this time sober. :)

We played golf on a Saturday afternoon. Group of 4 adults and 3 kids, age 11,10 9. It's a great set up and we had a laugh. However the technology around parts of it isn't great. One of the kids had a club that never registered anything other than the first putt. Others scored different points that never registered. And my friend got her ball stuck on whole 9 and had most of her minute wasted.

Came here for our works Christmas do on Saturday booked for 4pm when arrived it was chaos could barely move around the cube it was chocca didn’t start our game till 4.18 was told on booking it would take about 2 hours to complete we came from Southport and was getting picked up at 6.30pm Cut along story short because it was so busy we only ended up doing 5 cubes each one taking about 20 mins to sign in and wait until our game could start ! If we had stayed I don’t think we would have done the 7th one by 7.30 You would think there would be a limit to how many people Are booked on each day but clearly it’s not the case here. Deffo not worth £52 each Such a shame as we was looking forward to it we all said we wouldn’t go again! badly organised!

Had a really good time. this is our 2nd visit 1st for my 8 year old but for my eldest and myself. such a nice varied array of holes. couple of issues with some not working 100% but staff were on hand to resolve quickly. Kids enjoyed it also. would highly recommend to anyone wanted a couple of hours of good fun.

My Wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed doing The Cube Live!!! Such a great activity!!! Great fun!!! Great layout, great idea!!! I do think it’s a must do!!! Also it’s one of them you seen it on the TV and think I could do that… well this is the chance to see if you can!!! It is a little pricey and only tiny downside I could say is that we wanted to do all 12, as you only do 7 a random but other than that… we had a great time!!!

If I could give no stars I would. This place is a rip off. Do not bother going especially with the price you pay. The staff are under qualified and are damn rude! Avoid this place at all cost.

Really enjoyed Putters good fun

Me and my family had a pretty good time in the cube. There was a bit of queuing for the next game, which was fine, however it could get a bit tense when several people were waiting for the same game. It would be better if the system allowed several teams to scan in when they arrived. There were several occasions when a team would jump the queue, which caused a bit of aggro. The staff were all really friendly and supportive; except one lad - short, dark hair early 20’s, who was trolling me and my daughter (11) when we failed on a cube. Other than him, everyone else looked after us and the overall event was good

Yeah good place, we played golf which was fun but there are way to many people playing at once and you end up waiting around for far to long which ruins the experience completely. There should be a limit on how many people are allowed to play at any one time.

Fun and exciting challenges ( gutted we couldn’t do all of them as you are limited to 7 challenges). Staff were helpful and lovely. Great atmosphere, would highly recommend to others.

The bar staff and the cube operators are absolutely brilliant, however the food side of things was a real let down. £60 for 5 burgers with no sides and over a 45 minute despite being quiet and then food arriving a touch over cold! Real let down folks ☹️

Me and my partner came for the Cube experience and it didn’t disappoint. Was great fun and a killer experience. All the staff were super friendly and it just seemed like a really chill/fun place to work and it showed. Went back the following day as my partner was really interested in their Hi-tech Golf and that was great also, first time trying the sort and I’d also recommend that. 5/5 with ease.

We were here on Saturday evening for a fun-filled few hours! We played a round of the most techy mini golf. We hadnt booked online but thankfully able to fit us in. The guy taking our booking and the girl telling us how it worked both were extremely friendly and helpful. We then had a few drinks (brambles for me, beer for himself) and the service at the bar was exceptional - especially from Ethan! And the drinks delicious 😊 Music and vibe is very very good! Will definitely come back here when back in Manchester to play the Cube as it looked really fun!

Staff were great, helped when stick wouldn't calibrate and prices were great. Highly recommend as suitable for both small groups and larger ones. Prices were good too

Fantastic place, we played the golf we did the 9 holes but wish we payed more for all 19 holes. No need for score cards and pencils as the putters register your score. We had problems at first with our friends putter as not registering his shot and staff where very to sort it out, the other 2 where fine. Would love to have stayed and played cube but need 4 players and got a bite to eat. Drinks could be cheaper as a pint of bier merreti was just over £6 bit steep. Staff are very friendly helpful. There is a free cloakroom if your playing the games.

It was Absolutely amazing visiting the cube. My partner is difficult to please at times but he really loved it. It’s Well worth the money. The staff working the cubes were great too! It was very busy on a Saturday night but it was still very enjoyable. The staff do have a lot on however were still happy to record us. The team we were up against did record us too but for us, we were relying on a strangers camera skills which were not good at all. I do think it would be great to have a phone stand hooked to the staff box for each cube, it’s a very simple thing which I think would improve it a little as I’m gutted some of our good games as a pair didn’t get recorded or were badly done 😢 None the less Thanks for a great game! We will be back with friends!

Went to pay for my friends and I and it charged me an extra 5% on my credit card - as it said it was a corporate card. It wasn't. And even it it was, no card merchant takes 5%. Complete rip off.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the urban playground, we played the digital golf one day and then the cube another day. The staff here can not do enough for you, they are so helpful, friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were 5 🌟 I’m hoping I’ve remembered the names right, huge thank you to Jess and Romeo … sorry if the names are wrong! We will definitely be back with others to enjoy this experience.

First visit here and we had so much fun. Enjoyed playing the golf on the putters side. The carnival theme with bonuses makes the traditional crazy golf much more interesting and competitive. Watching people playing the cube is also good fun.

Great experience. We played as a 5 and 4, due to our numbers. We alternated games so we could watch each other which worked out great. Would certainly recommend for families, friends, work colleagues. It was good fun!

First time here. The crazy golf experience was fantastic! One of the best activities we've done so far. A unique twist on your usual crazy golf. Each hole has its unique challenge, including the opportunity for double points. Wonderful place, extremely pleasant. A fantastic day out. Shout out to Jess who works here she was friendly. Wonderful value. We had so much fun. I recommend it.

We did The Cube as a pair with Holly as our host. She was brilliant and we had an awesome time! Plenty of opportunities to have a break between rounds to grab a drink, and lots of laughs both in and out of the games. Would 100% recommend for couples and larger groups

I booked The Butcher for food and Putters golf for my 50th birthday celebration. We had a group of 17, one of whom had a severe allergy to gluten and peanuts. The service and food at The Butcher was exceptional and all well prepared in time for our large group. The golf was ideal as we could spread out across all nine holes and complete the course in any order. The staff were fabulous, we will definitely be back! Thank you!

Brilliant place, very welcoming and extremely fun and updated. I just wish there was another course of golf as there is only 9 holes so the 3 of us got it done in 30mins and was quite sad it was over. Overall we will definitely go again but would possibly plan something else alongside it just to fill up the day more.

Really disappointed with my visit to Putters today. Paid for 9 holes for a group of 5. One club failed on the first hole which took some time to replace. Second hole, and many of our group had technical issues (one player awarded a hole in one for 7 shots taken, another took one shot that got counted as 5). The rest of the course continued in the same theme, with the scoring being quite randomso we gave up taking note and just tried to have fun. The final hole looked great but totally broke for one of our players whose ball got stuck in the machine. The only guy on duty was very polite, kept apologising and offering to reset/correct scores or let us start again but we didn't have time, plus we had people behind us waiting. All in all a sad waste of £40 for less than half an hour of using broken tech. Avoid.

Played the cube - expensive but good as a one off thing.

We went to Putters yesterday and unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. The mechanics of the game are sub-optimal and really put a dampener on the experience. The final holes on the first course course kept malfunctioning. The staff did restart the game but again, it malfunctioned and had to restarted for a second time. The final hole on our second game malfunctioned on the group before us - to which the staff again were very attentive and restarted the game. Though this resulted in us having to wait a fair while to complete our game too - despite choosing a quieter time to play for avoid this. We had paid to play 18 holes, though didn't have a choice in which courses to play, as the third course was actually closed - presumably due to malfunction too. Many of the tee off points were damaging, meaning the clubs were getting caught on the floor. As a high-tech course and the only one in Manchester, I would expect better quality assurance to be carried out. We were given some vouchers for a free drink - although we had just purchased our drinks so didn't end up using them. We were also given a 15% off voucher for future use but I can't justify even paying that amount of money whilst the courses aren't fit for purpose. It would be great to see the issues dealt with to make it a more enjoyable experience for all. However, the staff very absolutely fantastic. They were very attentive throughout our time at Urban Playground, from the moment we walked in, to getting drinks and dealing with the equipment issues. Each and every member of staff we interacted with are a credit to the company and should be recognised for their excellent customer service and troubleshooting.

Really good experience, well set up and good if you’re looking for something different to do. A bit on the expensive side but as a one - off or treat I would recommend.

Could not recommend this enough! It was so much fun and the atmosphere just makes the whole experience even better. Really gets you into a competitive mood. A little on the pricey side but I would definitely visit again

Massive queue to check in even though we had a time slot booked, when we got to the front the people in front of us who had just paid no booking took the last club's available so had to wait again. Too many people on the course groups of 8+ all doing sane hole. Every hole was a wait which took away from the experience. Would go again but would avoid on weekends/public holidays as numbers clearly weren't limited. The concept is very good but lacking organisation, having to check in and out for each course so no collective score for 18 holes.

The cube game show experience felt like it flew by. I feel for the price you should offer more games. Taking into account the single player games each player only gets to play a fraction of the games. There should be a review of the format to increase the chance of repeat custom. In this economic climate £45 is a lot Of money. I would return if I got to play some more games
