Had fantastic Sunday roast and was so nice staff were especially nice and could not do enough for you will definitely recommend and will be going back what a gem of a place

Great local pub; been coming here for years. Service is outstanding and prices reasonable. Well run. Friendly. Log fires in winter and great pub grub. What more could you want? BTW - you better like dogs; there can be up to six here, at any time.

Fabulous Sunday lunch very good quality produce, skilled chef and great waitress/bar staff. The Yorkshire pudding was really lovely

A wonderful local pub, with a good selection of beers (with a new beer most weeks) and an excellent restaurant that provides a good selection of food, from a magnificent Sunday roast with all the trimmings, to a tasty selection of pub favourites on most weekdays. We cannot recommend the pub highly enough for the quality and choice of food, the excellent service and the good value

Village Inn; A very friendly, warm atmosphere, from karaoke, raffle or musical bingo. we really enjoy ourselves, thanks to Ash Tilly + Lea. keep it up we love it, Mick + Julie Childs.

Sunday lunch was not worth the money. It was a dog-friendly pub, and I loved that as there were many there, but three massive (like massive) dogs let in roaming the pub off the lead and went to pets that I thought were friendly and started growling at me, The dog was behind the bar, and so was the gentleman who was its owner, so I assume he was the owner or a very good local to the pub, Either way, keep your dog on a leash. You're at a pub, not your house! The Guinness was good, though the staff girls were lovely! But I won't be coming back! Like the dogs sat at the bar, this place is WOOF!

This place is absolutely delightful. I head down every month, if not every fortnight, for the Sunday roast. From when we first sit down to when we get home, me and my family are always going on and on about how much we love the experience! The accoutrements are hefty, the portions are perfected and the food itself is the kind of roast you'd dream of. Meal customisation is a breeze and the staff are perfect - me and my family have 'our server', and she treats us perfectly every time, though the same can be said for all of the staff! I'll be coming here as long as it's open. ♡

this is both a 'pub' pub and a food pub so take your pick. we ate in the bar area but they have a more relaxed area as well. Service was excellent - Toni looked after us at the pace that we wanted. Menu is mostly pub grub which changes now and then but I have attached todays as an example. I had the steak pie which was a proper pie not one of those with the puff pastry top. I also had the apple crumble and custard which was perfect. Good value for money considering location :-)

Not bad I guess, but I grew up in this area and I wouldn't choose this pub over many others. Food menu is very stereotypical and service is fine but... I dunno, not a great atmosphere of the sort you want to feel when in a pub. Maybe I'm too used to city pubs so take this feedback as a single visit review, as it's intended. Beer on tap wasn't very varied at all, standard stuff really.

We wanted a good Sunday lunch roast in the Sandhurst area and were told by a local to try The Village Inn. We're very grateful for that suggestion as it was great. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely dining area, excellent food with large portions, and very reasonable prices. This area, which we are only visiting from Downunder, is lucky to have such a great pub We will visit it again before we leave and hopefully catch some music too.

We have just had a beautiful roast Sunday lunch. One beef and one pork. Plenty of meat,veg and gravy. Excellently cooked. We would recommend everyone try the village inn on a Sunday for your roast lunch. Staff are excellent.

Went tonight for dinner and found they have a new chef . Had the fish and chips and the cod was so fresh and the batter was to due for. The triple cooked chips were to die for xx definitely be back xx

My husband and I took our daughter for lunch today. We were made very welcome on arrival and chose to eat in the conservatory as the sun was shining. A delightful young lady called Toni cleaned our table, took our orders at the bar for food and drinks, brought our cutlery, then our food , then popped back to see if everything was ok, which it was. Our meals were fantastic, all freshly cooked and very reasonably priced. All in all a great lunch. Our thanks go to Toni who made the experience so personal. 😊 Will definitely go again.

How can you charge 10 pounds to get in a pub on New years eve that we pop into every now and then ! Well done I won't be back !!!

Another delicious toast cooked by Ash and served by Tilly. Last minute decision and we were served swiftly before the kitchen closed at 6. Plenty of veg and gravy and the beetroot parcel was just perfect and complimented the rest of the veg (and massive Yorkshires). Keep up the good work! Oh and we treated ourselves to a mulled wine - well it’s nearly Christmas 🎅🏻

Plenty of meat, huge range of veg and plenty of it! Roast turkey and stuffing, roasties, broc, cauli, lovely rich gravy.

We had a really fabulous lunch in the conservatory served by the lovely Toni, the menu is varied and has some good vegetarian options too, the chilli was made with shredded beef and was really tasty

Lucky enough to have another roast at The Village Inn with my husband and a friend. Between us, having all the meats on offer with sides of pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese to share . Good variety of fresh veg which you help yourself to in the table so can pick and choose what goes on your plate. All cooked to perfection (thanks to Ash and his consistently high standards) with extra gravy available which if you like tasty gravy 😋. Nice selection of desserts if you have the room afterwards which unfortunately this time we couldn't manage ☹️ But good options of coffees for afterwards which was a nice end to the meal for the coffee drinkers. Served by Holly and Immie with smiles and check backs to make sure we were ok with the food, needed anything else and drinks when we were getting low. Excellent value for money for what we had. Were sat in the newly painted conservatory which was nice atmosphere to have a chat at the table and catch up. No complaints at all and will be back soon.

I usually visit the Village inn on a Saturday night once (or twice) a month. They have a mixture of music events on every weekend throughout the year, to suit everyone's taste with Live singers / groups, Soul DJ nights, House DJ nights, Karaoke nights etc., In the summer they host various garden events and in particular, I love the Party on the Patio with all day live music and a delicious hog roast, courtesy of Nathan!! Personally, I have always got a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff, whether they know me or not. I last visited on the 11th Nov (2023), to see the Grafters, who are excellent. Toni, Ash and Dot were on duty and they really are so lovely, professional and friendly. The pub is very well located in Sandhurst, right across the road from the train station, and also has plenty of parking on site or around the local area. It has a late licence on Friday & Saturday nights and In my opinion, always has a great vibe. The pub has a lovely, large garden area with pretty hanging baskets full of colorful flowers and lots of covered areas, perfect for the summer, all weathers (and smokers!) Whilst I don't eat there often, when I have done so I found the service is great, the food is very tasty, its well presented, with generous portions and good value. Oh, and I love their Sunday roasts, which you can eat in or take away!! In summary, the Village Inn is a great local pub, great music venue with very friendly staff..... and long may it continue!!!

We have been having take away roast dinners since the Village Inn started doing them in lockdown. Amazing food by Ash that never falls below his excellent standard. Having a drink while waiting for collection this evening it was lovely to speak with Tilly and Dot behind the bar who were friendly and welcoming. We have tried the roasts in other pubs in the area but the Village Inn is bar far the best. We'll be back :)

We came to the Village Inn for dinner and drinks and what can I say?! Excellent bar service from Dot,served with a smile and friendly banter. Food was cooked to perfection by Ash. Will definitely be returning.

What a great place to have a drink, a meal or just relax listening to good live music. I regularly attend their Open Mic Nights on a Tuesday, when Holly is a brilliant host behind the bar. Other nights have other events, which makes it an ideal choice for family and friends to meet up. The bar looks small but has fires in winter, which makes it cosy. Outside there is a conservatory for eating without feeling you are cut off from the 'live' action in the bar. Further there is extensive seating in differently themed areas outside - all under cover. Useful in both winter and summer. Highly recommend for any occasion. Parking for only about 10 vehicles is the only downside, but just outside a bus stop, so very convenient if you want to drink over the limit!

Always dependable and fun. Went down for the Friday night meat raffle and it's a great atmosphere. Holly and Dan were kind and efficient, with a great sense of humour. Lovely local pub.

Can't identify why but I didn't find I could relax there. Something was lacking bit I don't know what.

We had two takeaway roast dinner, My husband collected it. The food was hot and delicious. Meat very tender. Plenty of veg and lovely yorkshire puddings. Well done. We will certainly do that again.

Reviewed and visited a few local pubs in the area and this by far wins it by a country mile. Sunday roast I haven’t had better anywhere, it was amazing. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. I now visit every Sunday for a roast dinner.

Travelled from Liverpool for an 18th Birthday great night, food was provided by the host and there was a premier inn at the top of the road which was ideal.

Dropped in after work for a relaxing drink. Stayed longer - enjoying the fun, then instead of a planned takeaway, decided on 3 starters from the pub menu. Absolutely delicious! Thoroughly recommended 👌

Decent local pub, great for lunch or catch up with friends. Does big portion of pub grub, nothing fancy, but good. The conservatory is lovely for a drink and it has a good atmosphere on the weekends, with special nights. The garden is particularly good for summer evenings.

It must be an unfortunate series of events for you to turn to this place. I was making a stop by this town and had a little over an hours to kill before carrying on my journey. I ordered two simple dish from the menu, which has taken them 50 min and counting to prepare. There was no update on order or any interaction from staff to keep the wait less painful. In the end, I decided to get up and leave. If you are in the village, I would suggest White Swan which is 2 min away. I hope this review was helpful.

Have no respect for neighbours. I don’t mind some noise, music etc but it’s not at a reasonable level. It’s been twice now in two weeks level has been unreasonable. Formal complaint being made to the council tomorrow

So disappointed as we were looking forward to a roast dinner. Table was booked for 2pm on arrival was informed there were no tables in the dining area but could sit on high stools in the bar by the door. Not acceptable as we are both in our 70's and I am unable to even get on a stool! The guy who was in charge made no apology and didn't seem to care so we walked out. Why take a booking if it can't be accommodated!

Really liked this place, the owner/ manager looked after us well. Unfortunately before he arrived a staff member stood around whilst I was waiting to be served, then as soon as a local came in he served him and another before me, even though he had clearly seen me and I was the only person at the bar.. The entertainment was great fun, and the drinks too.

I loved the decor here- it felt really cosy and reminded me of pubs I used to visit with my family as a child. The COVID precautions were detailed and made me feel safe, the waiting staff were really kind and attentive, and the food was delicious! Thank you for a lovely meal :)

This is a hidden gem, really good service, properly covid secure and top quality food at reasonable prices. You must try the pigs in blankets as they are to die for. It's going to be a loss that I discovered the village inn today and it has to close on Wednesday for the lockdown. Make sure that you come here before Wednesday is my advice!! 😁

Wow umm where to begin: Con's: - Being asked to pay whilst eating even though half the establishment was empty & waitress never left table until paid. - Being told there was no hot water even though there was coffee on menu - The worst thing though was the appalling customer service shown by the landlady who made Basil Fawlty look like a saintly angel. Pro's: - Food was good!

Customer service poor. The attitude displayed by the manager shows she needs some refresher training. Displaying behaviour you ask your proprietors not to do is unacceptable Firstly we were not asked to do anything we were spoken to in a manner which would upset anyone. This was my FIRST time out since lockdown and had we been advised on arrival about how things were being done it would have been helpful, as opposed to being spoken to like we were children. Then for the manager to deal with this issue on your review page in this manner speaks volumes about her customer service. At NO POINT was I rude to either of you and resent the implication. I hope you were just having a bad day and that you don't make a habit of treating customers in this fashion.

I get the covid19 government guidelines but when the landlady of an establishment expects her customers to follow guidelines that she is not following herself its poor. False advertising of what could have been a really good day out for any and everyone who attended's mental health is not good! I've worked in customer service for over 20 yrs and would NEVER approach people the way she did!!!! And for her to condone her staffs ignorance when dealing with customers is unacceptable. To have a uniformed, affective approach will only be achieved by educating the owners of establishments like this.The food was sub standard too which just added to the poor experience. Will not be going back there.

Very safe to visit. Covid-19 prepared. Great use of space in the garden with heating. Friendly staff with great fresh drinks. Though a bit pricey.

I have visited nearly a dozen pubs in the area, since they reopened, and found that the Village Inn is by far, the safest. In the pub, and out in the conservatory, all tables are separated not just by distance, but also with large plastic screens. They also have a large outdoor, under cover, seating area. It is table service only, and all the very friendly staff wore face coverings. The food is, I believe, mainly home cooked, so you may have to wait a little while, but it is worth the wait!!I would, and have, recommended this pub to family and friends, and I am sure they won't be disappointed.
