Village Pub & Grill in Knowsley

We had lunch, dinner and breakfast the next morning very clean lovely and clean very friendly staff. The room was lovely and the food excellent.

We went for diner and had the sirloin steak. Was very expensive for what looked/tasted like a Weatherspoon's meal. One of our steaks not cooked as requested. Football was on the tv's, very loud could not enjoy a conversation.

Ansprechendes Ambiente, das Essen wird wie im Pub üblich nach Bestellung an der Bar zum Tisch gebracht. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft. Wir hatten Fish & Chips, Chicken Curry und Spare Ribs. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Abend mit für ein Hotelrestaurant in der Peripherie der Stadt ausgesprochen leckerer Küche. Die Pub-Atmosphäre war wahrscheinlich auch durch ein Champions-League-Spiel so angenehm lebhaft. Die Preise für Essen und Trinken waren angemessen.

Awful from the minute we arrived. Waited to be served for 20 minutes at a non busy bar with extortionate prices, £38 for a bottle of House Prosecco and £10 for a cider and a soft drink. Food was inedible, carrots looked like they’d been dug up from a field, dirty and raw. The original entertainment was cancelled however this was only shared with us 5 minutes before the replacement act performed, there wasn’t even a refund offered for this.

My friends and I met there for lunch. We were truly shocked at the prices! £9.50 for a simple wrap. £16 for a small salmon salad. Honestly, it just wasn’t worth it. Most things on the menu are deep fried, so if you’re looking for an £8 portion of chips then this is the place for you. I would even dream about taking children in there. It’s such a shame because the environment is really nice abs the staff are so friendly and polite. I find that some restaurants and pubs are using the ‘cost of living’ crisis as an excuse to put prices up unnecessarily. They won’t be open long with these prices.
