Village Tandoori in Enfield

i refuse to eat from any other curry house Village Tandoori makes the best curry, rice, chips, popadoms and salad i have ever had. the people that work there are so lovely they always deliver the food piping hot and ready. all the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. the consistency of quality food is always the same. we have been ordering from there for over 5 years now and we won’t stop! you won’t regret ordering from Village Tandoori

Absolute Terrible experience, we ordered a curry for a family meal which they over charged our card by £78. We rung to speak to them about it and was treated in such a rude manner and made to feel like it was our fault. They offered no apology or compensation and was told in a rude manner WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT !!! and also told us we maybe had an old menu. We had to advised them that we should be refunded due to them seriously over charging us. Supposedly we will be getting refunded but do not feel confident what so ever and terrible considering two of our family members use them weekly. They have now lost two customers. Terrible business

Over 25 mins late. Waited over an hour.

I'm not far from the restaurant and the food was pretty cold. And not in microwaveable cartons so heating it meant washing up, the avoidance of which is one reason for having a takeaway. Onion Bhajee was missing the usual sauce and salad garnish.

Lovely place to go for a meal. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing. I've been here a couple of times and never felt rushed. Would highly recommend for any occasion!

Amazing, these guys really know how to produce a premium curry. The flavours, the portions and quality of the meat is 5 star. The place is always so clean, customer service is really good and I feel so welcome and satisfied when I leave. Definitely one of the best if not the best around. Well worth the money.

We had a notification to say the food had left the restaurant but it hen took nearly 30 minutes for it to be delivered and we live a 3 minute drive away. The food was subsequently cold and we had to reheat it in the microwave. The food itself was nice but had become soggy from being cold.

Great service, lovely food, quick delivery

Food was OK but below par. I had curry and chips and had to put the chips in an air fryer for nearly 20 minutes to get them to crisp up. Curry was nice but needed microwaving. Sides. A very mixed bag. From reading other comments, I guess this place is fine to eat in, but I won't be buying takeaway from them again.

Sin embargo, solo desearía que el personal fuera más amable y poner una sonrisa que haría un largo camino para que se sienta más bienvenido. También gastamos un montón de dinero, ya que éramos 5 de nosotros la cuenta era de £ 180 estábamos 50 p corto en cambio, pero el camarero se paró sobre nosotros esperando los 50 p que debería haber dicho que no se preocupe por ello señor. ¿Regresaría sí si sonrieran y no fueran tan mezquinos?

Yes, it’s a bit soulless inside but then again it’s Chaseville Parade which is hardly a kicking local hotspot. The food and the service is very good here, there are no better curry houses in Winchmore Hill at the moment. Good value too.

Excellent Chicken and Lamb Balti, Korma and Biryani were really tasty too. Would definitely come back to this restaurant. Best I have had for a long time.Very friendly and quick service also

Firme favorito con toda mi familia. Me consideraría que tengo una plataforma cuando se trata de comida, y el pueblo tandoori llega al punto. Recomendaría entrantes especiales de mezcla para 2 que es increíble valor y tan sabroso. Arroz de champiñones Madras de cordero. El restaurante está limpio y el servicio es fantástico. Descuento si recoges Defo mejor casa de curry en Enfield manos abajo.

So disappointed to have to even write this review but here goes… I ordered the lamb tikka biryani, vegetable curry, plain paratha and prawn Puri. The lamb tikka BIRYANI was SENSATIONAL , could go as far as saying this was actually the best I’ve had! The paratha tastes like the ones your grandma makes, proper home cooking However, the prawn puri? It ALMOST KILLED ME. The prawns were raw. I’m so glad that I didn’t tuck into that first as I would’ve been really sick, I don’t get how the prawns could’ve been raw??? Anyways it was a lucky miss and because of that I won’t be ordering again unfortunately. I do just want to say the delivery driver was really sweet and polite :)

Firstly, food wasn't amazing Secondly, they got sauce wrong And thirdly there is more atmosphere in a libery than inside this place. You have a great location, just needs some life injected to this place

Very good first impression . Nicely decorated comfortable spacious seating area and friendly welcome We were impressed with the food really tasty served fresh and hot . Especially enjoyed the chicken madras Bombay aloo and rice . Garlic naan was delicious . Off street parking is a big plus

Visited twice this month after a long time since we’ve moved out of the area. The service is amazing and the food is delicious. Would highly recommend.

Food was nice but waiter needs to smile ,I don't agree service charge, I work for a food journalist and write on local restaurant . Looks like they thive on local customers .

Ridiculously oily food. Oil had spilt from the curries onto everything else. Delivered very late and food borderline cold. Tikka Masala was just Chicken Tikka in a pool of oil. Cheap but not worth it. Avoid.

A group of ladies chose this local restaurant, which had decent reviews. The food was disappointing, and the service left a lot to be desired. One member of staff was particularly rude and unfriendly. He seemed irritated by us wanting to wait for our final guest to arrive. One dish was presented and given the wrong name, he corrected it, we can only assume that it was the dish ordered. Given that all the curry sauces looked the same, I'm not sure how one is supposed to know. Some of the party described the food as bland. When paying, one of our party asked to see the payment console. She was rudely told that she needn't worry because she would get a receipt. We are local people but will not return to such an unfriendly establishment. So that's 6 families you have lost.

Everything was really fresh and tasty.

potatoes bland and taste horrible texture and where cold missing onion salad and ordered 2 garlic naan only got one not happy spent alot and waited a long time for it and was cold not happy spent alot waste of money

Food as always, was delicious - the only thing that was disappointing was that the chicken tikka biriyani was not tikka. Still tasted nice, but the tikka always tastes nicer! Looking forward to ordering again!

Food simply amazing and beautiful atmosphere- Ate here with a large group. Even though the restaurant was fully packed the waiters were so attentive. Food was on point and I don’t think there’s a better Indian in the Winchmore Hill & Southgate area

the food we ordered came piping hot and was very tasty

order arrived quickly. We ordered Tandoori chicken wings which smelled rancid, the smell was apparent on opening the container. We threw the whole meal in the bin. On contacting the restaurant, the manager was apologetic and offered to replace the meal, however, we declined due to lack of confidence in their food. We received another call from the manager who confirmed the kitchen staff we cooking gone off chicken wings.

Food all in all was good. Down points were, mango chutney was watery and not alot of flavour. Yoghurt and mint sauce was a bit too runny. Maybe if they were cool it would help. The rest of the food was barely warm.

I had to wait over 2 bourse for my food and when it arrived it was all cold

One of the waiters ruined the whole experience by being rude. I have a sensitive stomach I didn't feel right after the food for 3 whole days. Couldn't stomach anything. 🤢

I've been coming to VT for many years now. The staff are friendly and always on hand. The food is excellent. I've tried many Indian restaurants and this is by far the best.

We were recommended the Village Tandoori by our next door neighbours. We went last Tuesday evening. The food was amazing and the staff are lovely. We will definitely be back.

Excellent food. Naans could be bigger and chicken could be softer. Will definitely order again.

The best in North London. Have been eating from this establishment since 2015. I now live in Hertfordshire and still eat from here!

Don’t waste your hard earned money, this place has been reduced to a scam. I bet they don’t even have an actual chef anymore and the poor waiters are having to cook the orders, at least that’s what it tastes like! Food, if you can call it that is absolutely inedible. 👎👎👎

Best Indian restaurant in London

Not been here for a while , but I have to say….the food was absolutely delicious, so fresh, tasty and not greasy. Our waiter was helpful and had good banter.

The food is not that good how its use to be tandoori chicken was dry and over cooked, the biryani doesn't have the same taste as before. I can tell its not the same chef used to cook before. I will not order from them again sorry

Food is ok, not great but not bad either. Staff are friendly and helpful but service is pretty slow even when the restaurant is not busy.

Still one of the best Indian restaurants. I had Chicken Sag Madras which was excellent with lots of lovely chicken and a great sauce

Been ordering from here for years but my recent order was not good. The onion bahji were over cooked and the quality of the whole meal just wasn’t as good as usual.

This place is a shame. They sold me the hardest piece of meat everyone couldn't even cut it, let alone chew. everything else was terribly bland. Really bad food, you can't trust these 5 star reviews.

Food is terrible, worst lamb chops I ever tried. Inedible as it is so hard you cant cut or chew. The other dishes were plain, Tesco meal has more taste than this. I can only think these other reviews are all made up. there is no way I am ever ordering or eating from this place ever again.

after one hour waiting for a meal I thought was gonna be half decent. They had the nerve to deliver lamb chops as hard as shoe soles. No one could eat, impossible to cut or chew. It is all left. £11 thrown out. I am shocked and I wish there was more surveillance on restaurants that sell inedible food like it is just an ok thing to do. Stay away from ordering from this place.

The Indian food has no taste of india it like its being cooked by English people rather then Indian

The plain naan breads were broken and looked old, the pilau rice was one of the worst we have ever had and the vegetable side dishes were very bland. Butter chicken was too sweet and the chicken was very dry. Very disappointing meal.

Good food, tandoori wings were good. Pathia sauce was nice but the lamb slightly overcooked for me.

Lucky enough to live within walking distance of the best Indian restaurant for miles around - the food here is consistently good quality and value whether dine in or take away.

Food was missing 3 items, rang up and had the items sent to me, the main food that was here on time was cold by the time the missing items came. used to be a regular but got put off as its getting worse service as time passes.

Food is excellent, great quality and tastes anmazing! Atmosphere is great for a family meal. Great vegetarian options, definitely the best Indian food I’ve had in North London! A favourite of mine that I look forward to whenever I visit my family in the area.

There was inadvertently some meat and curry in this grease. Just awful. The oiliness of the food left an unpleasant coating on the tongue. I binned most of it.

Delicious food with very lovely service.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of parking right outside. Great atmosphere and service was very good as well. And to finish it all off the food was amazing and very well priced compared to others locally which I have visited recently. Have already booked again for next weekend!
