Vine Bar London in Lambeth

Wonderful wine bar / restaurant, moments from the Vauxhall tube station. Perfect for date night — the decor is warm and quirky, and it’s quiet enough to chat but the place is still lively. Dinner was excellent too! Our new favorite spot!

What an absolute gem of a restaurant- so so glad I have discovered it! Wonderful food (my Robin Hood gnocchi was to die for), great buzzing atmosphere and absolutely charming staff led by the owner who clearly takes immense pride in his fabulous restaurant - and so he should! I will most definitely be back very soon.

It’s a little wine bar tucked away between buildings in Vauxhall and I finally managed to visit. From the google map info and the name of the place it looked like a bar but the way the place is set up inside looked more like a restaurant. We walked in as soon as the place was open so we had wine and took time to order some food - we went for the sharing plate with cheese and charcuteries and burrata. The quality was fine but wouldn’t say they were exceptional. The presentation/offering is very basic. The place is cute overall and as a wine bar, I’d be happy to come back as it was quite nice and easy and was not overly busy.

My family and I adore this place. The staff is beyond amazing. Roberto, the owner, made me feel so welcome and treated us with such kindness and hospitality. Favor and Fedorah were excellent as well and made this experience truly amazing. We will be back next time we're in town :)

Stopped in just by chance. The food was delicious we had the Bolognese. Cooked to perfection and the bucatini al dente. Service was great, friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend and will come back.

Una de las alegrías de Londres es encontrar pequeñas joyas en los lugares más singulares, y nos topamos con esta magnífica taberna italiana por casualidad, ubicada en la calle George Wharf (SW 8 2 LE) a piedras a través de la estación de autobús y metro de Vauxhall. Esto es italiano auténtico, no falso Jamie con porciones de mininúcleo. Swaer la carbonara es la mejor que he tenido de este lado de la Toscana, y el Ragu de mi esposa la dejó sin palabras (un bono inesperado) Añada a esto una carta de vinos muy buena y a un precio razonable, una magnífica hospitalidad y un entorno cuidadosamente cuidado y encantador, y este es un lugar de visita obligada. No se lo digas a mucha gente, ¡debería ser nuestro pequeño secreto!

Necesitaba un lugar para reunirse con amigos cerca de la estación de Vauxhall. Encontré este lugar basado en las calificaciones y tenían tanta razón. El lugar es pequeño, así que asegúrese de reservar - decoración muy festiva y banda sonora interesante (que no intrusiva). El menú incluye una variedad de platos italianos (pastas, etc.) pero también algunos inventos novedosos del chef. Personal de servicio muy amable y amable. One of our favourite places in Vauxhall and Italian in London overall! Food is absolutely delicious, the wines are spetacular (if you need help, the staff *really* know how to recommend - Favour is brilliant!) and the vibe is lovely. Calm but lively, intimate but friendly. One of those hidden gems everybody should try. We live in North East London now and will come down just to visit them. You should, too.

Food: very nice, but very slow to arrive and lots of dishes not available. Service: the waiter was pretty strange. Demanding with attension, made use feel pretty awkward. Quite demanding.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere is cozy, impeccably clean, and gives an authentic Italian charm. The wine selection was impressive, and it perfectly complemented the flavors of the evening. The food was absolutely delicious. I have to give special praise to the chef Dariusz for the lasagna with their special chili divinz oil. Fedorah, was a delight. She was incredibly kind, and attentive, ensuring every part of our experience was smooth and enjoyable. Favor, was a true professional. Not only was he knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, but his warm demeanor made us feel right at home. His service was prompt, thoughtful, and flawless. Roberto the owner is funny, genuine, and full of high spirits. His passion for the restaurant was evident in every interaction. The entire staff was caring and invested in making our evening memorable. The vibes were excellent from start to finish, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Went there on the 21. And 23. of august 2024. Roberto and the crew showed us a great time! 10/10 Italian cuicine + a very good wine menu.

If you want to eat truly Italian, I recommend this place. It's a piece of Italy in London. Great food, great service and a nice place. I had the mushroom risotto and the tiramisu. Optimal.

I am really happy that I spent tonight in this lovely Italian restaurant! The owner was a great host, and made us feel like we are in Italy! The atmosphere was really cozy and sweet, and there is nothing to say about the food. Everything was super delicious and fresh. I would definitely recommend and hopefully I will be back to try more foods. Thank you so much again for this lovely evening!

I apparently used the wrong door on entering, this was due to a neurodivergent condition. A man with grey hair and waistcoat rushed over, accusing me of using the wrong door and that I had been rude. I had literally just walked in. I have visited thousands of restaurants and this is the worst experience I've ever had

We stopped by on the way to Hamilton the musical. Completely random. The best very large olives we have ever tasted. Added to the great wine we consumed, happy people. Staff very helpful and friendly. Please visit.

Fantastic food. Real Italian food. Their pasta is perfection. I lived in Florence for a year and the food here is comparable. Great service. The owner wants you to have a great time and a fabulous meal. Their dessert is also excellent and I recommend getting the vine panna cotta. Servings are big and prices reasonable!

I honestly do not know what I liked the most between the food and the service! We happend to stumble across the resturant right when the kitchen closed but they made special accomidations for us and let us order anyway. We ordered the Del Mama and the forest ravioli and they we're delicious! Our waiter also recommended us a fantastic wine and stopped by often to make sure everything was perfect. We also had the pleasure to meet the owner and he was (unsurprisingly) as great as the rest of the resturant. Highly recommend!

Expected above average, but it’s outstanding!

A beautiful hidden gem with fabulous staff and brilliant menu. All staff were friendly and made our meal special. Wine list is crazy! It is an the expensive side but the quality of food wine and service makes it worth it. Shout out to our waiter who made our dinner extra special, you crazy dude.

We headed out for an early dinner last night, very jet-lagged after a long flight. Vine Bar was nearby our Airbnb at St George’s Wharf, so we gave it a go and we were not disappointed. The host Roberto and his staff were friendly and accommodating, it’s not a huge place (which I like) and the atmosphere is cosy and authentic. It’s got a cool jazz vibe going on. The champion though is the food. There were four of us and we all agree everything we ate was top quality and delicious. I personally recommend the Risotto Ai Funghi and the Salsiccia E Patate (pork sausages and potatoes), but all the dishes we chose were amazing including the Tonno Alla Puttanesca, the Gnocchi, the Forest Egg Ravioli, the TIRAMISU! Well done chef. The bar has a great wine selection but because we wanted an early night we just had a couple of the Italian beers called Nazionale, which we really enjoyed. Our host even offered us a free liqueur at the end of our meal. Thank you gentlemen. We hope to see you again during our stay.

The "Italian Vine" tour is an experience second to none. Roberto, the host, is worth the price alone...let alone the fantastic food and wine throughout the night.

Aww, what an adventure this place. They organise classic Italian Aperitivo events every month where they will offer free food nibbles with your wine or cocktails. It's so much fun and guests are happy to mingle. It feels so cozy and homey. Can't wait to visit again.

The absolute LEGENDS, oh my god…the oasta melted in my mouth and i’ve never wanted to go back to a place so bad. I literally CRAVE the carbonara, ask for a little chilli oil to go with it. The best i’ve ever had. Cant wait to go back.

Superb evening spent at Vine Bar! From entering the place to leaving, everything was spot on. The food is delicious, the atmosphere very nice and relaxes and the staff is just sensational (many small gestures that we rarely find but that make the experience memorable) I highly recommend going and will definitely be back!

We initially intended to only come in for a glass of wine but ended up staying for a long time. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed and we thoroughly enjoyed our wine and cheeses. They also sell amazing products there, such as tuna in olive oil from Sicily. I'm sure we'll be back soon!

Cozy, intimate Italian bistro with simple, classic menu and excellent execution. There’s a semi open kitchen where everything is freshly made, and only a few tables. The service is a little slow but attentive. The appetizer plate and sweet shrimp carpaccio were refreshing to start with and the carbonara and lasagne were very fresh, flavorful and delicious. Great date spot.

This is a delicious Italian restaurant. The main classics are on the menu, as well as some thought provoking dishes. We had a sharing board to start, followed by the most exquisitely delicate and sumptuous sea bream sharing plate. My husband had the gelato with cherries, scummy. I had the....wait for it....basil panna cotta! It sounds so wrong, but tasted sooooo good.

Really good Italian with an intimate wine bar ambiance and also a good Italian Resturant good - delicious anti pasta and cheese platter followed by excellent pastas. Roberto is a wonderful host and recommended some very good and original Italian wines. We had a really enjoyable evening! Thank you!

Nice experience with a good wine with close friends

I wrote a defamatory review here on vine bar London and would now like to apologise as I was clearly mistaken. I was unfortunately wrong in my statements and judgements and am using this opportunity to apologise for them on the same social media platform I originally made the comments, as suggested by their solicitor. I apologise for my comments and misguidedness in this matter.

Sadly after reading the excellent reviews we were very disappointed. The gnocchi was straight from the freezer, we saw it coming out ! The dishes were all lacking flavour and taste. Our main dishes came out separately so found ourselves watching each other eat ! and they weren’t busy. Reading the other reviews, I felt we must be in the wrong restaurant or they have a new inexperienced chef.

Excellent food - the lightest, most delicious Italian food we’ve experienced outside of Italy. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with welcoming hosting by Roberto. The beautiful music from guitarist Andrew Scott also contributed to the lovely convivial atmosphere. This is a really special place, well worth travelling out of your way for.

Absolutely outstanding restaurant. This is the kind of owner/operator restaurant that is missing in my life. One where the person who serves you actually cares. The food was incredible and the wine out off this world. I’ll be back, again and again.

Roberto strode up to us looking every bit the young Vito Corleone, in jeans, nice jacket and white shirt, poured my wine, shook my hand and introduced himself as the owner. We were in good hands. The food was delicious and the wine list excellent. We will be back!

This was a great find on a recent visit to The Oval for business. It was a google search that led me to the restaurant, which happened to be across the road from where I was staying. Everything about this place is fantastic. I was very well looked after and the food was wonderful. Also the service was top notch. You can tell that the owners and all the staff really care about what they do, and it shows with lovely food made from quality ingredients. This find made my stay, and I hope I get the chance to go back to try more of the menu. Thanks to all at Vine Bar London.

Vinebar is a delightfully authentic Italian restaurant, nestled at street-level of the apartments at St George Wharf, Vauxhall. The menu offers a medley of appetisers, Primi, Secondi, and Entrees with some tasty desserts to follow. The wine list is extensive with choices to suit all budgets. Roberto, the Managing Director, takes time to talk with guests at each table, and is wonderfully passionate about his Italian cuisine. His energies clearly rub off to the rest of his staff, who are diligent, personable, and attentive. Our thanks to Roberto, Tristan, and Pauline for making our evening, so enjoyable!

We went here for a dinner based on the very positive reviews in TripAdvisor, but we can’t see why people raved. The service was friendly, however, and the ambience was quite nice, but the restaurant was almost empty and the food expensive for what it was. The sparkling water (75 cl) was £4.90! The carbonara was ok but the bolognese was pretty tasteless. Overall, nice place but the food isn’t great and is expensive

The most charming and cozy Italian experience you will have in all of London! Beautiful ambience, service, food and music, with an amazing Italian wine list. Roberto, who is super knowledgeable, will explain everything in great detail. Also, the place is immaculate. Anytime we have friends visit from out of town, we take them there, and they always love it! A true hidden gem!

Super lækker Italiensk mad. Med super gode anbefalinger til mad og vin. De har virkelig meget lækker vin. Deres tiramisu var virkelig god. Tjenerne og ejeren var nærværende og gjorde det til en skøn aften. Bestil bord, da der er få pladser. Alt i alt en fantastisk oplevelse som kun kan anbefales.

A cozy, welcoming atmosphere at the end of a busy day! Our family of four (kids are young adults) enjoyed trying the interesting and delicious food and wines on the menu. The staff was so friendly, informative, and welcoming! We are tourists and still in our learning curve, they made us feel right at home!

We had the most amazing experience, our waiter was so attentive and really lovely. Wow the food was awesome, I had the risotto all a pescatora it was soo good, my husband had cianfotta e polenta which was scrumptious, my son had lasagna classica which I’m assured was delicious, my daughter in law had alle vignole which was delicious and our grandson had polpette al sugo which was equally good, an amazing experience all round and would highly recommend

I planned to celebrate my birthday here and communicated with the owner Roberto to organise it. He was very helpful with organising a specific menu that met all the group’s dietary requirements. We were treated to a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely treat. Food was delicious and service was very good. I had a very special time!

Our first time here and definitely last!My girlfriend was cold and wanted to keep her jacket but the manager took it from her and was very abrupt.He seemed very annoyed and we heard him shouting to staff during the evening.We were very uncomfortable.The food is just average but with Mayfair best restaurants prices. We waited ages to be served.Negative Vibes.

What a lovely Italian restaurant😍 Pasta were in generous portion👍🏻 My carbonara was disappointing but my friend ordered the Tricolore and it was great! I would also recommend the tiramisu 💯 although it’s without alcohol, the flavour was rich! Staff are all Italian and we really like their energy and hospitality✨ Overall it’s a nice place if you want some authentic Italian pasta 🍝
