Wafflemeister in Kingston upon Thames

The waffle come not cooked properly . It looks like a glue . Don't order, ice creams arrived melted.

Not bad if you just want to have a quick bite. Fairly dry. Bananas and other fruit chopped paper-thin. Coffee is okay. Service felt pretty inattentive when we were here last; someone only looked at me to take my order and didn't speak to me throughout the whole process. Felt really awkward. Maybe just takeaway if you want to go here.

I don't know what is wrong with this place, they keep giving the wrong products, I order two crepes and I received one crepe and one waffle and is not the first time that this happens to me. They should be more professional and give the costumers the proper information about what is available (the first time that I got a wrong product they called me to say that they didn't have and ingredient so I was fine to get another one but they didn't told me that they were going to deliver something that I didn't order, like changing the crepe for a waffle). This time they didn't even worried about calling me, they just put whatever they wanted without giving an explanation, I didn't paid for that. So for me, I never going to buy anything for this shop again. They used to have a very good quality and service with the previous management but not anymore.

We were told it would be a 10minute wait and it ended up being over 40minutes, the food also didn’t look like the pictures so overall disappointed, this was me and my friends first time and It will be our last, the delivery men were receiving all the orders before us when we were there much longer before them Wouldn’t recommend

The waffles should be light and fluffy but the waffles we have had were tough and chewy! All I could taste was flour! The waffle place that can NOT make waffles, wow! Also everyone got their food at different times so we were not able to eat together! Really bad organisation and the kitchen looked messy! I’m very disappointed!! THE WORST WAFFLES I HAVE EVER HAD! What a waste of money!!

Twice we went at 21.20 and to be told it was closed due to cleaning up for the day. Quite clearly states open until 10pm on website and on the front door. Maybe they should change the details of the opening hours or change the staff.

honestly feel sick looking at what they delivered to me … i ordered a strawberry crepe and got a nightmare honestly! somehow it was both overcooked but undercooked at the same time…it was stone cold and resembled what u can only describe as the contents of a baby’s nappy 0/10 would not recommend

Don't ever bother ordering this via Uber/Deliveroo..etc as ours was a waste of money.Food was sent literally in open boxes, they put the whipped cream while the waffles were warm and melted, and got to us cold and soggy as the whipped cream melted everywhere.Icecream was sent in some coffee cups and again, all melted.How bizarre!And each waffle had 3 little pieces of strawberry on.I honestly don't know how they sent the food out like that with such low standards.This place is not what it used to be when it first opened.Awful experience,I will never order or go to this place ever again.

Both the milkshakes and waffles are DELICIOUS! And they now take cash as well as card :)

Ordered 2 banoffee crepes and I opened mine up and every single piece of banana was black?? Also the crepes were rock hard couldn’t cut them up and they were rubbery too, making a crepe isn’t hard so I don’t know how you’ve got it so wrong and it took you so long too. Never ordering here again

First time here it was lovely, i would of preferred the crepe cooked a little more Would definitely visit again.

I ordered two waffles today with deliveroo and the waffles were uncooked.

We love this place but were disappointed this morning when we showed up at 9.30am to find it closed. Website said it would be open at 9 but the sign in the door said 11am.

I was severely disappointed with my experience here. Having paid £11 for two crepes I was expecting a very good standard but was immediately concerned when I saw them remove “pre cooked” crepes from a tray behind the counter. I have ALWAYS had freshly cooked crepes to order wherever I’ve been. Having ordered a chocolate and strawberry crepe I was expecting this to be filled but was given a total of two small strawberries and a drizzle of cold chocolate sauce. The crepe itself was as you might think having clearly been left out from being cooked hours before - cold, rubbery and horribly tough to eat. I can not believe the money they charged and what terrible quality this was. I wonder if they will be good enough to explain them self with a response...

This is the second time i have visited this place and second time they serving reheated waffles. Your company name is "WAFFLEMEISTER" just to remind you.

My son and I loved this place. It is nice and calm inside and the guys serving the food are helpful and super kind. We managed to get in before the place closed that evening and the waffles really hit the spot. So delicious! Get your pushup game on afterwards to burn the calories off!

The banana and chocolate cream waffles bang as do the strawberry and cream waffles. If you get an ice cream get a small one as it's more than enough even though it doesn't look like it. But then again they probably did nice me.

Nice waffle however I think it is a bit over priced for what it is. Store needs a facelift. Staff helpful and friendly.

Waffles came out cold and the crepes were undercooked. Staff looked blankly when I asked for the crepe to be remade as it was almost raw inside and they said they couldn’t as they’d run out of pre-prepared crepes, when crepes are half of their menu? All four of us were disappointed so I’d recommend going to the other dessert place round the corner!

I have been an avid fan of Wafflemeister for over a decade. Bond Street is where it started for me and has never failed once, not even queueing in the cold harsh winters to get my box of dark chocolate waffle has ever stopped me. But to my amazement, I was excited to check out the Wafflemeister in Kingston with a full establishment, I ordered my regular dark chocolate belgian waffle and it was the worst I have ever had. This tasted like a 2 day old waffle!!! it was so hard like cutting through card board! It was dry and must have been reheated multiple times. None of that usual moist and delicious dough that just exudes 'fresh waffle' that I have been accustomed to over a decade. Kingston Wafflemeister I think not, more like Wafflemesser!

Unacceptable. We order three waffles. Two nutella sandwiches and one triple chocolate. When the lady poured the nutella in the waffle she held the waffle with her hand without gloves and one of the waffles wasn't baked very good. I will not recommend this place for anyone.

Staff rude. Doesn't really care

This is hands down the best waffle place, I love it and always go hear. Small and humble one could say, I certainly love it. The staff are always friendly and happy to serve, free wifi is also available which is very kind. This is perfect if you want to treat your partner/friends/kids. Anyone who loves waffles really!!

Ordered a waffle and a crepe to eat in. The waffle was brought reasonably quickly however without any utensils. By the time the crepe arrived the whipped cream on the waffle has already melted. After that the utensils were brought soaking wet and wrapped in a scrunched tissue. No napkins were given, I had to ask for the drinks we have ordered to be passed to me over the counter.

I visited this place for the second time and was not disappointed. Amazing delicious waffles and smoothies, definitely the right place to stop for a nice lunch.

Workers ack like there half deaf when I'm placing an order so I have to keep repeating myself, then I pay for fresh strawberries and he puts 3 tiny pieces on, I won't be bk.

14 of us stopped by here after a dinner at a nearby restaurant to grab some dessert. Around 3 of our party did not wish to have anything, and as we were taking the desserts to go, we stood out of the way by the door to avoid any confusion with us requiring to be served. This appeared to be a problem for one young male member of staff who continually gave us strange glances and made us feel quite uncomfortable as if we were doing something wrong. Otherwise a good experience, we purchased a range of desserts including tubs and cones of ice-cream for the children and vegan waffles.

I have visited this branch a few times and the staff are consistently friendly. The waffles and coffee are also tasty and it’s a warm and pleasant place to sit. Can be a little hard to find a clean and available table but that’s to be expected at this time of year in Kingston!

The staff were pleasant & enthusiastic about their work, but the quality of the dishes served was a let down, especially considering the price being charged. The waffles were very undercooked with a distinct doughie consistency & very unpleasant on the palette. The icecream was icy. Coffee was good.

Freshly made amazing Belgian waffles with milk chocolate and chocolate brownie ice cream. The service was very good as well. One reservation was that you don’t get much choices with the ice cream flavours. I would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious and high quality. Students can easily get discounts and portions are about right. Premise itself is quite small so going with a large group isn't a good idea.

Waffle tasted good and friendly staff. Seating was dirty and a bit worn out. They warmed the waffles instead of making them fresh. The temperature was very warm inside so it was a bit of a shock to the system if you're going in from the cold outside.

Visited with my sister and niece as a treat. Staff couldn't take my order properly. Took ages to arrive. Had to query many times where it was. Food is bland! Coffee arrived late and not hot. Staff looked clueless and unorganized. Overpriced!

Slow service + unfriendly staff

We ordered a savoury waffle that came out first it was very pale, cheese was completed cold and unmelted, the waffle tasted old a few hours and had been slightly warmed for a minimum time not cooked through, looked nothing like the picture which was melted and brown. We saw the staff member wipe down a dirty table wearing gloves, with the same gloves she went behind the counter and picked up our plates to serve us. Previous to this we had seen her touch the til and touch other foods with same gloves. She served our crepes which were also cold and very pale and hard from sitting on the counter until customers ordered. We walked out as hygiene was poor and food preparation terrible very surprised they had received a 5 for food safety as what we saw was very poor for a simply concept. Very badly done we would never return and would not recommend this to anyone there are other better places in Kingston with better food prep and staff attention to standards.

On deciding to take my friends to this establishment after such lovely waffles at Wimbledon branch ( on a different day) just to served a raw crepe. After asking the staff about it their excuse was it's a vegan crepe and that's how its is. Sorry to all vegans out there, if this is the raw chewy food you are served as it was horrible. No sorry we will make you a half substitute or nothing just sent back to the table with the same plate. Disgusting and will never return.

Great waffles and shakes but my only complaint are the straws, which are too thin and hard to drink but the waffle shake taste very nice

I took my daughter here for a treat, and ordered the triple chocolate waffle for myself, which is one of the more expensive sweet waffles. It just tasted bad. The waffle was flavourless with a terrible texture, and the toppings did nothing to redeem it. Even my 6 year old daughter wouldn't eat the ice cream. When I complained to the manager he said it was a different batter to their other (cheaper) waffles. Whatever - it still tasted awful. And there were no menus on tables or information explaining the difference anywhere. No refund. Told I could order another one, but would have to pay. Great - thanks. Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Was here for 10 minutes and unsurprisingly had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a hot chocolate and was given a lukewarm drink, and the waiter tried to justify why it wasn't hot. And when I asked if they could heat it up- sure they did, but they came across very rude and reluctant. It was not worth nearly £4.

American waffles Nutella sandwich was delicious and big :) Waffle, Nutella, vanilla ice cream and cream what is not to like. We will be coming back for this winning combo. The “Thick shakes black and white” was crap and anything but thick. More like cold milk. The dark chocolate (the black bit) was slivers of chocolate stuck to the inside of the glass so practically impossible to eat. Stay away from these tiny glasses of disappointment

Disappointing really. Orders weren't recorded properly and didn't come out at the same time (there were only two!). Pretty sure the vegan waffle ordered wasn't actually vegan. The presentation was pretty shoddy and they didn't put all the toppings on. The staff were friendly though and corrected the mistakes happily with no fuss. Wafflemeister just struggled to get the basics right sadly.

Staff haven’t been trained what vegan means. So whilst they might have vegan products - I was given a waffle with milk chocolate and this was after I had a long conversation with staff member about the fact that milk chocolate isn’t vegan. Was so frustrated with overall experience I couldn’t eat waffle and didn’t get refund. I would caution against vegans going here until the training has improved.

Nice small and cosy cafe that serves waffles and other savouries. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. On every item there is are 2 prices: one for eating in and a slightly cheaper one for taking away. There is no toilet in the cafe.

Delicious freshly made waffles with a twist. Breakfast, lunch and dessert waffles are what's on offer here. Try it out, you won't regret it.

There are no customer toilets at this venue. The management are refusing to do anything about this issue, despite the pressure on the staff when customers complain. The venue does not even display the fact that there are no loos clearly-i.e. they take the order and the money and don't inform you. I will never go there again.

Had the Churro Waffle and it was delicious, not heavy but not light, just right! Served with chocolate sauce and really nice soft creamy ice cream. Creams is nothing compared to this!

The deserts here were amazing and the place was very nicely decorated. I would recommend this to someone.

Customer service is okay... Wanted to try Nutella sandwich but they ended up saying its over for the day... Tried 🍓 waffle its with cream n 🍓had requested to sprinkle nuts... Staff was in a hurry to clear up things felt lik v wer bein rushed out... Overall nice experience
