Wagamama - Glasgow City Center in Glasgow City

We loved Wagamama but in the last 6 months the quality and taste of food decreased whilst prices went up. Today we paid over £70 for a dinner for two that left us quite disappointed. Dry Baos with barely any ingredient or sauce. Uncooked cauliflowers once again with a lot less sauce than usual. We ordered only one main which was a rice bowl. A ready meal from Sainsbury’s would have more taste in the chicken. Please get back to your old quality.

We were in a few weeks ago and the food was amazing. We were served by such a lovely guy called Andrew, we’ll definitely be back. He’s a credit to your branch :)

Have been to this Wagamama many times over the years and can confidently say that in the past 6 months I have noticed a decline in the quality of food. Bao buns quite tough and dry, bang bang cauliflowers hard and not seasoned and these are only two examples. Service was good and fast and the place for sure still very clean as usual.

Dinner was brilliant but highlight was our server Andrew, he was absolutely fantastic and couldn’t have looked after us better, a true credit to the establishment 👏🏼👏🏼

Fantastic place to eat, food is consistently good and the service is second to none! I had Saku Saku Soba crispy shredded duck and OMG it was as so good, we had chicken Gyozas to starry and they were also excellent, I just love going here, I try something different every time and I’m never let down! Their Katsu Chicken Curry is also phenomenal! Very worth going! Staff are extremely friendly and very knowledgable about Wagamama! Fantastic 🥰👍

Loads of great food. Food is served as it is ready, so sometimes the meals don't come out at the same time. My son was treated like a small prince here and ate most of his meal (a victory in itself!!) and the staff were friendly and attentive. They're really great at helping to choose the menu to suit for intolerances. I'd highly recommend popping in for dinner sometime.

Our server, Eva, was absolutely amazing. She was extremely helpful and made the service a lot more enjoyable. She was all for a good chat and really helped out! The food was also amazing.

Pleasant place lunch. Food is good if not exceptional. Fast. Good service. Busy which makes the atmosphere more enjoyable but not luxurious. You kind of know what you are going to get. Nothing to complain about but it's not going to set the world on fire either. Not cheap for fast food

Mis amigos y yo vinimos de una comida después de una buena sesión de pilates duro era justo lo que necesitábamos! Tuve el katsu curray y puedo decir que fue increíble, me hizo la boca agua y bueno significa que necesito regresar para más sesiones de pilate! ¡Jajaja! ¡Pero recomendaría al 100% que nos pusiéramos al día con los amigos y que tuviéramos una pequeña sesión de chismes con amigos!

Muy decepcionado con la comida en el centro de Wagamama Glasgow. La gyoza de pollo era sosa, sin sabor y la albóndiga exterior tenía un sabor ligeramente crudo. El pollo tiriyaki estaba solo ligeramente caliente. El caldo de ramen de pollo era extremadamente soso, absolutamente sin sabor y masticable de pollo. Sirvieron las comidas principales por separado con al menos 10 minutos de diferencia, así que no pudimos comer juntos.😬He estado aquí antes y la comida era deliciosa, sin embargo, extremadamente decepcionado. Seguramente por Dios los chefs pueden hacer comida sabrosa. No soy un chef calificado, pero ciertamente podría hacer una mejor comida que eso. Pagué en el escaneo y pagué como solo queríamos irnos rápidamente. Una camarera vino a recoger platos y se lo mencionamos así que como pagué me dijo que me dará un vale para la próxima vez. Me dijeron que era válido por un año, pero cuando llegó a casa solo notó que solo es válido por 6 meses. Quizá se vaya a la papelera como la comida. Visitando Glasgow y he estado fuera algunas noches para diferentes comidas. Este fue el peor y muy muy decepcionante. Parte de la comida se comió, pero algunos se fueron como teníamos hambre.

Amazing food!! Our sever Eva was absolutely incredible! Very helpful told us the best food and drinks as well as giving us cool pubs to go to after. She was amazing and all her recommendations were delicious

No he estado en Wagamama por unos años. Comimos deliciosa soba de pollo y langostinos yaki y dos tés. Realmente lo disfruté. Conseguí un lugar tranquilo y ambos servidores eran amables y serviciales. La comida era rápida, caliente y delicioso.

Terrible experience today, the waitress was very erratic and I couldn't understand a word she was saying. And she literally wouldn't stop checking in with us and taking the plates as soon as we put out chopsticks down. I felt like I was at school. Then my partner went to the toilet to which she then flew at him to tell him where it is. He came back instantly from visiting the toilet to inform me that he couldn't even use it as it was blocked with feces and it was all smeared over the seat. Disgusting, oh, and she gave me a starter which was totally different from what I asked for, and the beef in the salad was like chewing a piece of leather. I will not be returning here!!

Den was an absolute pleasure from the minute we walked into the restaurant. We were welcomed in and promptly served. He was very friendly and was able to provide amazing dish recommendations based upon what we told him that we liked. Wagamama’s is always our go-to restaurant but our trip was elevated by the warmth of our server. Thank you very much Den, and the rest of the Wagamama’s team!!

I like the atmosphere. It would be perfect if they play a Japanese music.

Went for dinner, it wasn’t too busy and we got to sit by the window. I had salted edamame and a chicken katsu curry with the sauce on the side. Everything was hot and yummy - I will definitely be back!

It was tasty and the service was good.

Fui a cenar con un amigo visitante. Pedido "3 bocadillos" y 3 tuberías. Mi principal vino 1 calle no hay bocadillos "la comida viene cuando está listo dijeron" Terminado mi principal preguntó por los otros "dos que están llegando". Eventualmente llegaron todavía sin bocadillos, pero nos dieron un desierto libre cada vez que llegaron 2 bocadillos seguido un poco más tarde por el tercero. ¿Te preguntarás por qué les di 4 estrellas? Bueno, el servidor era magnífico. La cocina estaba teniendo un colapso desastroso y era dueño de la situación y trató de hacer lo correcto, fue un servicio fantástico y él era un crédito para el negocio, y dio la vuelta a lo que podría haber sido un desastre. Nos dio un desierto libre y mi principal. Y tengo que decir que la comida era buena hasta el estándar habitual de Wagamama

First time and last time going here. Staff were incredibly obnoxious about everything we ordered and treated us like children. While the atmosphere has a chance to be nice, the long shared tables just aren't our vibe. The food was nice, but unfortunately, the portion sizes were huge but in the wrong way. Barely any meat to match the amount of broth/noodles/rice.

Great food, great staff, great location. You know what to expect with this chain but the staff here are so helpful and friendly.

My friends and I went to Wagamamas for a quick bite before heading to the theatre, having not booked anywhere. We were welcomed in and escorted to our table. The restaurant was busy so I was a little worried that this would, understandably, slow the service. But it didn't as the servers never stopped. My friend was unsure as she is a very plain eater so our server Margarita (hope that's right), talked her through the dishes which suited her palate. We had 2 starters and 3 mains and each meal looked and tasted great. And the cocktails were gorgeous. We were served by several staff all very polite and chatty. Thank you all for a fantastic meal, next time we will stay longer.

Food was fabulous. They forgot to bring the dumplings and then brought an extra portion that we had not ordered. So I had to eat my starter after my main! No clear apology from the waitress. Food came out at different times which was actually a bit annoying because some of us had almost finished our mains when others were just receiving theirs. Service overall was not the best.

Had great time here. The waitress was so wonderful and really enquired about food allergies and tried to check on things that weren't on their regular allergy list. We got starters, main courses and drinks and it came to just over 60 pounds. The jucies we got were really fresh and yummy

Quick, easy and good food - just what we were looking for! We were heading to a concert and were looking for something that would be ready quickly but still actually taste decent, and this did the job!

We have been to couple of wagamama outlets across the globe. We love their food. They have been consistent in their taste and services. I felt the prices were on the higher side compared to other countries. We loved their new dishes in the menu. Their cocktails were really refreshing. Great job

Wagamama located in the heart of Glasgow. The cherry blossom lemonade was delicious, and the hot pot was also good. It felt more like Asian reinterpretation in the UK than Korean food, but it was good. The staff are also friendly.

Niamh from wagamama Glasgow is such a lovely woman, she was very sweet and made sure I got into my Uber after my meal, she really looked after me ☺️ ( Context- I'd not had the best time whilst at a bar but wagas and Niamh saved the night 🙌) I came in around 11pm and had chilli fried squid, duck gyoza, and a ramen with a peach ice tea 🍵 The food was just what I needed, hot and yummy 😁

I always eat at Wagamama's when in the UK and my trip to Glasgow was no exception. The food is delicious and we went back several times during our stay. All the waiting staff was lovely. There was a small incident with spilled drinks during one of our dinners and Maragarita the manager and the staff were extremely helpful and professional.

Friendly staff. Easy to pay. Food can be VERY spicey if you are not used to it.

Wagamama is great reliable fusion food. I have never had a bad meal. Service was friendly and attentive. I also had a really nice cocktail. Will definitely go back

I didn't take any pictures today as I was uninspired. Our server was quite bubbly and helpful but not intrusive. I was rather underwhelmed at the size of my wife's cocktail that cost almost 9 quid although it was tasty but tiny. The food was not fantastic though. The brisket noodle bowl had chillis that were not expected and the teppanyaki was rather uninspiring but undoubtedly fresh piping hot, and I appreciated that. The venue itself was nice and bright and a few hundred pounds spent on finishing some broken tiles and plasterboard seams would instantly gain a star.

Ewan was incredible. Food was amazing. I couldn't fault the service. What a non judgmental and accommodating beautiful man. Food was amazing also. Thank you.

I went to wagamamas in Glasgow on the 9th of April at lunchtime. The food was amazing, all came quickly and very tasty. Our waitress was called Sophie, she was really friendly and helpful as we had certain requirements. We will be back again soon.

Place was freezing everyone had to sit with there coats on and wet coats as it was raining outside food went cold very quickly because of this I couldn't fault the food but the experience left much to be desired.

Far far too long a wait for a collection. The meal itself carried next to no flavour in the noodles.

Food needed more flavour, very bland. First experience, so maybe try again.

Not great, the service from the start was very odd and my partner was told to hold a stack of drinks menus while they looked for a table. The service didn't improve. We were told that there would be a difference in the times the meals were brought out. This time difference was half an hour, this was very awkward because my partner had finished his meal before mine had arrived and he felt bad. At the end I went to the toilet where I saw a member of staff come out of a cubicle without washing their hands, this was very concerning.

We had a beautiful meal in Wagamama on Monday 4th March. The restaurant and it's facilities are spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have eaten in other Wagamama's but this one was certainly outstanding and we will definitely return on our next visit to Glasgow

Totally flavourless food with measly portions- pad Thai was 752 calories and we ordered double the chicken and shrimp and was still tiny. It was also quite expensive- I wouldn’t have minded paying the price if the food was good but it just wasn’t. Go to ting Thai instead! Way cheaper and way more flavourful.

Never coming here again!!! I personally love Japanese cuisines, but the ramen I’ve got here is the worst that I’ve ever had. Literally the blandest dish - I ordered the chilli chicken ramen (supposed to be quite good and spicy) just Incase the other ramens were bland, but this, it was awful. The ramen had absolutely no spices, tastes sweet (?) and has nothing that makes it look like a ramen.. it’s basically noodle soup with chopped vegetables on the side. This wasnt Japanese at all! The service wasn’t the best either, was asked for drinks after waiting for a good 15 minutes and it took them a further 10 mins at least to get a glass of water. A huge restaurant like this does not even have room temperature drinks. Nobody came to take our food order at all until after 30 minutes of waiting when we had to go and call someone to do so, and the waitress was standoffish as well. The food itself took a good 30 minutes to be served, more for my friend. Absolutely worst service and food, never coming here again.

Usually love this place this time however my steak came RAW We were both served food at different times as we went out to enjoy a meal together as a couple we wernt impressed by this at all by the time my good came he had finished his

I’ve never been to a Wagamama before and wanted to take my daughters out for a treat. We were seated quickly and greeted by a very positive polite waiter called Xander who was very helpful and good at keeping in touch with us throughout. I had a lovely experience and we will probably be back.

The beef teriyaki was very tasty and so was the katsu curry! Good size portions but the bao buns could have had a bit more filling.

Popped in here for a very quick bite. Food came out ever so swiftly and was up to the usual Wags standard. Service and atmosphere were both decent.

Probably the best dinner i have had in Glasgow so far! I had the cherry blossom lemonade which was fizzy and perfect for the spicy dish that I had. I chose the chicken hot pot with some kimchi on the side and the vegan corn dogs. The spice level was perfect and the flavor was amazing. I would definitely recommend and go back again !

This was some of the worst service I've ever had in my life I ordered a water and chicken teriyaki donburi, the water came out right on time (which isn't hard) but I was waiting 40 minutes for my food and then when it did come the chicken was raw How anyone could have the gall to make someone wait 40 minutes to serve raw food is beyond me While waiting I was watching a show on my phone as I was dining alone, I believe that due to doing this my server Amy ignored me. I didn't make a fuss about the wait time and my plan was to finish my show then bring up the time, 35 minutes after ordering Amy came and said it would be another 5 mins When I questioned my food which was raw a supervisor came over, and explained that the order initially didn't go through on the system and asked if Amy has explained this to me, she said yes but that was a lie as she only ever spoke to me after ordering about the 5 minutes left. I was offered to order something else as substitute and the initial dish would be taken off my bill, but I didn't want to have to wait another 40 mins for raw food Do yourselves a favour and go to one of the many other Japanese restaurants that are in the city centre I know I will be in the future This has destroyed all trust in the establishment and I will never ever eat at any wagamama again

Food was hot, tasty and flavour rich. The manager was exceptional and helpful with our allergic son and his order. Did go at peak time so quute noisy, not a date nite time to eat but we've been out with peak and it would be fine.

I love Wagamama’s, it is in a convenient location in the city centre, inside decor and seating is perfect bench type stalls, lighting is great, easy to read menus, staff are really friendly and informative & the food and drinks are always delicious and excellent value for money. This is is a must for people who love to eat out

Awful never never again.. arrogant service.I went out after 45 minutes without food and they made me pay the service. Never never again. I asked to check my order a awful woman stopped her colleague. Plus the menu is not terrible there are only carbs in the options

So many awesome vegan options. The Vegan K-dogs are out of this world good. The Banana Katsu is also so good.

Stopped by on a busy Saturday night and was warned before being seated that there would be at least a 30 minute wait for food as the kitchen was so busy. This was much appreciated as it would have given us the option to eat somewhere else if we had been in a rush. Our server was the lovely Sam who was so attentive and friendly even during what i'm sure could have been a very stressful dinner service. Sam went above and beyond checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed! This was a much more personal experience than can usually be expected from dining at a chain. Would definitely return :)

We came in for dinner this evening , we are greeted by Patrick , our friends son is Aurtistic and without mentioning anything , patrick was so Accommodating and helpful , he gave us a quiet table , reduced the volume of music , it’s very rare to find great service these days but having great staff like Patrick makes the customer visit again and again . WAGAMAMA you are very lucky to have great ppl like him in your team . Never loose him or we will hier him straight away .

Ordered a takeaway chicken katsu and I’m really sorry but it was the worst I’ve ever had. Chicken is hard and/or chewy in some parts, rice is stodgy and the sauce completely lacked any flavour.
