Absolutely waisting the money compare to other Iranians restaurants in Manchester, food wasn’t even cooked enough, my wife never add salt on food but she was telling me the food is under-salted!!! Back to years ago, they’re much better than nowadays, I think they’re still having customers cus it’s the first Iranian restaurant in Manchester. Last time of being there

I thought I have had the best kobeda before but I was not prepared for this experience. The best kobeda I've ever had. Pricier than your average kebab but there is nothing average about this place. The service from the moment you step in until you leave is exceptional. I can't believe this place is in Rusholme. I will definitely be back.

Soup was just perfect Main course was filling ,lamb was very nice n soft ,mildly flavoured . Dessert was just mouthwatering. Waiter was attentive service was impressive

Fantastic restaurant with very delicious and traditional Iranian food and fabulous services.

Landed from Morocco and on way to travel back to Scotland. Thought would enjoy some lovely grilled food and this place looked amazing from the pictures. We asked to look at the menu initially as had a son who was unwell with a migraine and sickness. So needed to make sure he would be able to pick something from the menu. The first guy who I think maybe was the owner of the restaurant looked a little annoyed for asking to look at the menu. We then asked for table for four, he acknowledged and walked away. Another waiter came our way and asked what would we like and we asked table for four. So the initial owner guy ignored us! Have to admit the second waiter was attentive and sat us down at a table. We were then ready to order and asked the first guy that we want to order. Again he acknowledged and walked away and went to the bar to chat. His other colleagues were busy serving customers. We then left after not been being served by the boss guy who ignored us both times.

I’m not usually one to leave a review… but I truly had to this time! At first the place from the outside looks very unassuming. We entered and we were warmly greeted. We got the starters and they were good. But the main reason I’m leaving this review is the main course. I had the Lamb Shank with Broad beans and Dill rice… I have had Lamb shank from many kitchens, Arab, Turkish, European, Iranian, I’ve even made it myself. But this one must have been the best recipe and perfectly executed by one talented chef! The meat falls off the bone with explosions of flavours! The rice so aromatic and rich! It’s a definite must try. Compliments to the Chef and the Staff, truly one amazing family run restaurant!!

10/10 for the amazing Persian experience and flavours, decent portions and first-class service. Probably my most favourite Persian restaurant 😌 Food served quite fast, and overall delicious food! Both (grill main course and starter) items ordered came with bread/naan, no need for extra add ons. The aubergine starter was delicious and the grill meat just cooked to perfection. Will visit again when in Manchester.

The food and desserts were tasty as always. I just expected a softer koobide kebab. But generally everything was nice specially their friendly staff.

Qué fantástico restaurante. Íbamos a un espectáculo cerca y decidimos reservar por si acaso. Me alegro de que lo hicimos como estaba lleno a las 5. ¡30 un martes! Muy buen servicio, buena opción en el menú incluyendo sin gluten. Los tamaños de las comidas eran grandes y de muy buena calidad. Los precios son lo que espera pagar en estos días. Lo recomendaría y sin duda volvería si en la zona. NO hay alcohol, pero puedes traer el tuyo.

I visited Walnut restaurant last week, and I often go there as it is one of my favorite places. However, I encountered an incident that appeared discriminatory. When I asked the waiter whether the butter was halal, the response was, unfortunately, full of prejudice. This is disappointing, especially since the restaurant is halal, and I have every right to ask such a question. It seemed the waiter did not take this matter seriously. I wanted to ask the restaurant manager: do you approve of such behavior? Please note that many of my friends were with me, and they also plan to send their complaints to you.

Wallnut is the best Persian Restaurant I have seen in the UK so far. Not only the food is very good, but also the service is fabulous. Whenever I pass Manchester, I would definitely go there.

Amazing food, Menu was so user friendly, it had some image and enough descriptions. There are so clean and the menus were not sticky like other restaurants. There is a car park nearby, which makes it very convenient.

celebrated my BD in Walnut which was a blast, a great place with lovely staff and beautiful food that reminded me of home.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this place. I came here upon recommendation from a friend and entered the place and was pleasantly surprised with the nice decor and layout of the restaurant creating a somewhat simple yet pleasant atmosphere. We were greeted by a person who had a cold demeanour with short hair, earring and a checkered shirt which was totally inappropriate for a waiter. It didn’t smile or speak much which put me off. I got even more annoyed when I opened the menu and saw the extortionate prices. The food however was really tasty and one of the other staff members was polite. We were getting ready to leave and one of us went to the bathroom and upon entering the toilet saw something disgusting on the toilet seat. Quite obscene that they can’t keep the one toilet they have in the restaurant clean for paying customers.

As always Walnut didn't disappoint. Service and food was lovely , apart from 1 lamb stew dish that my friend felt was burnt. I decided to try the Pomegranate chicken and it was so nice. .Others had the lamb chops , chicken kebabs fish and a vegetarian dish .All served with lovely rice , clay oven bread or chips. Waiter was brilliant.

Great Persian restaurant with authentic dishes. All the items are made fresh and served promptly. My family celebrated my son's birthday there, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Be mindful to book a table in advance and avoid being late, as the head waiter will tell you off. Overall, I recommend it.
