Have popped in occasionally and had the most delicious pie and gravy. Was in the area Saturday and thought a lovely pie and gravy will go down a treat on such a cold day. Saturday luch time, no pies on the menu, just a very basic baguette, omlette, baked potato menu, really disappointed. Should have guessed, very sparse of dinners. Ordered the egg baguette, to be told a minute later 'we can't get hold of any eggs'. So all the omlettes were unavailable too. I've just been to a farmers market down the road that's full of eggs and pies! Cheese baguette ok, very cheap colesaw on side( sorry being really picky now). It has changed hands and don't believe the menu online, we won't be going back.

We have been here a number of times in the past mainly for a light lunch midweek and also to buy some of their fabulous pies and tarts. On this occasion we were out for a leisurely Sunday drive and found ourselves in the area, we had no particular plan for lunch but decided to go in to see if they could fit us in. Well we were in luck and were shown to our table, we ordered tea for two and a roast dinner for each of us. I had the slow cooked brisket of beef and my wife had the chicken breast. Everything arrived in a reasonable time and looked and tasted absolutly fantastic. Very generous portions all round, everything cooked to perfection. You must go.

Taken here on a weekend away with friends who had stumbled on it before by chance. What an absolute gem. The pies that we had were delicious, extremely filling, reasonably priced and total value for money. I only wish that I had had room for a pudding! Had we been coming home after the visit then I dread to think what we may have taken away with us. It is only small so booking in advance to eat it would be advisable.

Excellent pub. Good food which exceeded our expectations. Great service from the lady behind the bar. Let us order despite us cutting it fine near cut off time just before 2PM and even allowed us to add desert. Warm and welcoming with roaring log fire. Ideal if you are visiting Hickling Broad nature reserve at the end of the road. We look forward to going back in the future.

We dined at the Victoria, Holkham today. The food was exceptional, the service team brilliant and it was great value for money. We are never disappointed at the Victoria.

Went in low season (January) 2025, with my husband, living in Norwich. Not especially busy but at low season the staffing levels are lower. But this did not detract from the dining experience. The staff who were working were fantastic. Karol greeted us in and took us to our table giving us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. On a cold Sunday afternoon the decision was easy, and we both had a roast sirloin of beef. The service was fast and our Sunday lunch with all the trimmings was delicious, although (and I am being really picky because the meal was very good), I wish I had been given more carrots. Finished off with a small Bakewell sponge pudding with custard. Our thanks to Jordan, Tracey and Karol for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back, you have an amazing pub/restaurant.

The normal excellent food and service was simply missing tonight, enough to take this off our list fir the future. We visit here around 8 times a year. Tonight we booked a Christmas meal. Soup was lovely. Pate arrived as two large slices with no relish or chutney but only 3 very small pieces of toasted fresh bread - a request for more bread resulted in 2 cold white slices of store bread. Main meal arrived- one had 1 slice of gammon and 2 slices of turkey, the other 4 slices of turkey - all were very. Veru dry. Covered in a largely amount of congealed gravy. With frozen roast potatoes which were not hot, just warm. Vegetables of Brussels, carrots, broccoli and red cabbage along with pigs in blankets were all OK. No parsnips. We sent them both back. Two desserts - Christmas pudding which was lovely and a cheesecake which though huge, wasn't a cheesecake. Two meals with 2 Guinness cost us £60, after a ruffled waitress "comp'd" the drinks.
