The food is absolutely brilliant for the local chippy, all freshly cooked and always correct. This place is now our No1 chip shop and is the best in yeovil

Tried this Fish and Chip shop for the first time this evening and was delighted by the quality of the food and the pleasant nature of all the staff. Telephoned through our order and collected in the clean, tidy shop . Fish, chips, fish cake , chip's and curry sauce were all lovely and the pea fritter was probably the best I have ever tasted. The menu has loads more options than most Fish and Chip shops and we will definitely be returning very soon.

I read a recent review that wasn't very positive (you can't please everyone I suppose!), however my experience was overwhelmingly good. Ordered three lots of fish and chips along with fish cake and chips. The fish was cooked in a fantastic batter, light, crispy and non greasy. The chef (owner) tested the tempreture of the fish to make sure it was cooked to perfection. The chips were also very good. My daughter had the fish cakes and was not dissapointed. I for one will be revisting this fish and chip shop and have highly recommended it too!

Waited so long for our food. It wasn't very nice either. Chips were cold, peas were tasteless , the only thi g going for it was the white of the cod. Rest note brilliant.

My first visit here and definitely won't be my last! Ordered from the special board I chose the New Yorker on white, I received fresh ingredients on a large white baguette filled to the brim with chicken, bacon, sweetcorn, mushrooms, bbq sauce, mayonnaise, seasoned with salt and pepper and topped with melted cheese complete perfection. This was bloody lovely well worth £6

Cranford AvenueA great experience once again. 5th time at The Avenue and it never fails to deliver first class food and service. The students are a credit to the college. Their enthusiasm and attention to detail make the experience a real pleasure. We thoughally enjoyed the lunch and experience as usual and can't wait to return in the very near future.

Bridpot RdWe have stayed in Abbotsbury after our wedding. We ended up coming to this pub 3 times within a few days. We loved the food and the staff was super friendly and welcoming! We recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. The lasagna and garlic bread/salad combo is to die for! So lovely. We’ve also tried fish cakes, tuna jacket potato, cod and chips, cottage pie! Everything was fresh and the cheese that they use is so delicious must be some sort of magic Dorset cheese! We couldn’t stop ordering side order of cheesy garlic bread! There is a lovely outdoor area, you can sit in the garden and the views are incredible! So much greenery and space. The interior of the pub is very vintage and there is a super cool collection of mini alcohol bottles and some photographs and decor makes you feel cosy, it’s a proper authentic English pub with tasty food.
