Wetherspoon in North Tyneside

Had lovely meal with my Grandson today. Nice friendly service. Clean and tidy. Good prices. About 5 - 10 min walk from Wallsend metro and local bus service stops right outside. It is right next to Wallsend shopping centre and good local pubs. I will definitely be back and I have already visited with friends and family. Toilets are downstairs and have accessible access x **UPDATE** weatherspoon you really need to clear and clean your tables Every time I go into most your weatherspoon I have to clear table myself or ask for it to be cleared then you have to ask can you clean table as they never do and no you are not always that busy. Also ritz Wallsend you should have clear queue up service as when you go to the bar you stand waiting at 1 till and further down someone goes to the next empty till straight away when you've been waiting some times ages to be served. Finally 5 piece pepperoni pizza, wow, c'mon need more pepperoni than that but when I asked about this they said that's enough for that size pizza, was a small. My southern fried chicken was just warm it must have been left on serving hatch for ages or cooked before and kept warm, pizza was just warm also. *uodate* Please please please put heating on in toilet my butt was freezing lol and when you need to sign the chart on wall and a nan has to come in to women's toilet please knock and shoult male attendance anyone in. I was in toilets today and a male member of staff walked in I could have been doing anything, might not have been decent x Could you ask staff to clear tables and wipe tables as well as take glasses as that's all they seem to do x

Could do with some music, even if thats radio or background, a bit more of an atmosphere - maybe do a bit more for the elderly or lonely community but overall great Wetherspoons 👌

Stopped here after a great day out with a tour of St. James' Park stadium. The Ritz was warm and welcoming. Enjoyed our visit to Newcastle

I wanted to bring to your attention an issue with the vegetarian breakfast we ordered today. Unfortunately, the meal arrived cold, with the exception of the sausage and butter which were warm. Additionally, the eggs were overcooked, resulting in solid yolks. Very disappointed

Felt so belittled by a manager! Ordered a drink, got my drink, and tapped my card, it said, "Put card in!" I put my card, my pin, and said auth, take card out with a blue tick! Went to the toilet come back where Barman said it didn't go through! I explained it said auth take card out where he asked a very rude manager over! Who said when I tapped it it didn't go through!!!! I explained that I had put my pin in where her response was!!!! No stress, no stress!!! And started to talk to me like I was drunk!!!! I had just finished work and went shopping! This manager needs to learn how to deal with people! And not treat everyone as if they're drunk! I would like a response to this as there were a few people around and a new member of staff where it didn't look good in front of!

It's a decent place. I have been to this place so many times. So many options in drinks with or without food. So worth trying it.

A bar/restaurant created in an old cinema, reminiscent of an American roadside atmosphere. Very good prices, refills and a wide menu. Until 12 noon you will have a delicious breakfast, and in the evening you will drink Blue Moon beer and other local cocktails. Enjoyed!!

The staff were really helpful, friendly, and passionate and made sure everything was up to our standard and everything was alright

Great place for food and drink with friends

25 years of age (look about 30). Refused to give my drink without ID, even though I had already paid for it. Also refused a refund.

Still awesome prices at j d wetherspoons. Food not minging nor fantastic but it was good and with free coffee refills nothing to complain about here. Great atmosphere and quite busy on the morning we were there for breakfast. All the locals friendly and chatty.

Usual spoons fare - but more like a court! Then outside was where we spent most of our time - excellent space!

Standard wetherspoons really. Nice food, pretty quick service, and a nice atmosphere. We went really early in the morning (around 8ish) when it was nice and quiet and got served a full breakfast within about 10 mins. Prices are reasonable and toilets are kept clean.

breakfast was cold and they forgot to put a sausage on me plate. to be fair they took it away and cooked me a new one rather than microwave old one. not too much to ask that your food be hot!

Great place to go in comparison with other pubs on Wallsend High St....child friendly and reasonable prices. I would advise to buy double your drink order as sometimes service is slow on bar due to lack of staff, otherwise the staff are very good and friendly! 😁... Breezed through after finishing work on Saturday evening... Was full with a nice friendly comfortable atmosphere...

Waited nearly an hour for our food, when I went to ask about it our food was on the counter, they said it had been there quite a while, then tried to serve it to us. We refused, so they said that they would make us fresh meals, & fresh drinks. But we never got the drinks. This left us rushing our food, as my husband was late for work.

Well what can you say about The Ritz... it's a Weatherspoons... if you've been to any then you know the format, however the Ritz has got a nice atmosphere to it and a separate little room that makes it feel quite exclusive, we always try to sit here when we go... We have tried most things on the menu and they are all acceptable, always hot and reasonably priced as are the drinks. The meal deals with a drink are always a fav with us. The staff are always happy to help at the Ritz and it is nearly always clean and tidy. Overall a nice place to eat any day of the week and it won't break the bank like many other do these days.... get yourself along and see for yourself... enjoy.

Food was fine but it wasn't the cleanest of places as most of tables weren't cleared and the bar was full of slices of lemon and old beer bottle top's staff at the bar were more interested in talking to each other than serving had to ask behind bar for table to be cleaned it was cleared after 10 mins but was not wiped down so done it ourselves

Can get busy at times but the staff are polite and the food was served quickly. Good tip is to use the app if the bar is too busy. The food itself, although basic is good value for money and arrived quickly and still hot. One thing to be aware of is that the parking area is only good for two hours, stay and longer and you will get a fine!

Very busy venue, never seen it empty. Prices are cheap and cheerful. Food is what you get for the price. It's local and handy!

Excellent....You can play a game with your friends on which part of your breakfast is going to be cold today...Or you can watch screaming brats climb over the tables and run around because their parents haven't got two braincells to rub together but happen to know what other things rub together to reproduce...Shame there are no dogs allowed...Should be no kids allowed and they should let dogs in so I don't have to watch my taxes feed them ;)

This Spoons is one big room with plenty of tables, a couple of nooks and an outside area. Always pretty busy. This time we ordered a couple of bowls of chips with the kids, and I had a pint. Beer tastes good. Chips were hot. Can't complain.

Had breakfast and every item was cold The hot chocolate had no taste had to ask for it to be refilled. Would not visit again defiantly not worth the £6

Overpriced freezer food. I had a chicken burger, burger was fine but you can tell the chips are cooked in a dirty fryer. Get the oil changed, talk about cutting costs and raising prices...

The food was nice as always however i stood at the bar waiting to be served for nearly 10 minutes all staff to busy with app orders so i sat down ordered on app and got drinks in minutes which was very annoying

Food was decent, as it usually is at a spoons. Issue was with the staff, not one smile the whole time I was there, any interactions they seemed extremely depressed. I saw 2 staff members, 1 being a manager who was even more depressed than the girl on the bar. Monotone voice, looking like I’d just told him someone has died

Pretty good spoons, nothing special to talk about but the usual interesting building we are accustomed to.

Not very wheelchair friendly two many tables in can't get wheel chair around and toliets a mile away if you can't walk very much meal was okay but could of been hotter asked for large fish and it was small one sorry but will not be going back anytime soon

Rubbish service today asked for my drink 3 time still did not get it with my meal.. If you can't serve drinks properly you should not be working in a pub! And the place was very dirty.

Awful experience at „Wetherspoon“ in Newcastle, last night. I ordered drinks – and half a chicken, grilled / roasted. That arrived within about 5 minutes – and I thought it looked funny, to start off. I pulled the plate closer – and it smelt really unpleasant. But – I was hungry. So, I thought: “Go for it!” One bite – and I nearly was sick! I immediately brought this plate of …? back to the counter. “Sorry – but we cannot refund you on that!” It was around 9 pounds. So, I coughed another 6 pounds, or so – for some sausages and chips (“no – we haven’t got ketchup, sorry!”) The staff was really very friendly – it was apparently “management” which had decided as above! I’ll certainly never ever enter that place again. (But – then: I don’t think they’re really concerned about a single customer’s complaint! After all - its only one customer…)

It's Wetherspoons.... what more can you say. Cheap beer, microwaved food, gruby furniture. Toilets are heaving. It's weatherspoons....

Friendly staff, good food and nice ambient! It was a nice surprise for tourists like me who are just looking for a simple lunch.

Apparently going to the police becauae my 12 year old brother was playing with a cone on his head and the angry manager ran up "have you got ID" Not even the decency to say kids have to be out be 9 just demanding ID Out of order, staff needs more training in customer service very poor.

Had a jacket potato with tuna and salad very nice, really tasty and good price with soft drink included.

Pleasantl sunny out the back for value lunch, but empty tables needed to be wiped down. Easy enough to do when collecting empties.

Visit on June 22nd at around 6:45 p.m. Rarely have I seen a spoon in which so many tables were not cleared. Clean is different. The kicker was when I was standing at the bar to order beer and food, an employee literally spoke to me like this: "We do not want offensive t-shirts in our pub, pls leave" - ​​we don't want any offensive t-shirts -Shirts in our local, please leave. In case the photos didn't work, the shirt has a crossed-out rainbow flag on it and underneath it says "...cause the world has bigger problems!". This “expulsion” affected me deeply and caused my opinion of Wetherspoon in particular and English people in general to plummet. My God, to paraphrase Asterix, “The English are crazy.”

Food can come out rushed. So some under cooked. And there have been times that our food has come out cold. Due to table service . Overall, it's OK!! but not good or excellent

After ordering we waited about 10 minutes for our food ,I ordered the burger with naga chilli sausage. Was absolutely disgusting when I complained to a member of staff they said they would see to my complaint no one came back to see me what i waste of money Will definitely not be going back there any time soon

Very handy for the adjacent Travel lodge for breakfast. Typical wetherspoons value breakfast but food often lukewarm or cold. Putting a freshly fried egg on to a cold plate is unpleasant and the sausages were still cold in the middle. We did eat early just after they opened at 08.00hrs. The last day I gave the cooked breakfast a miss and just had the excellent value coffee service.
