Wickham Fish & Chips in Bromley

This is the second time that I have ordered fish and chips from Ferros, and was disappointed.. the chips was fine, saveloys were cold, and the fish wasn’t crispy, think it has been in the hot cupboard for a while.. Very disappointed as it used to be very good.. not sure I am will be back.

Chips dry and crisp. Fish batter light and crunchy, Cod beautifully cooked, Mushy peas great, portion size very generous. Best Fish & Chips takeaway for miles around. Never disappointed and highly recommended.

Great/friendly service gluten free fish & chips. One happy coeliac son for a fish & chip shop to use that’s close to where we live for a takeaway. Freshly cooked to order just need to call in advance so the fryer can be on for gluten free. Will definitely use again 👍

Very happy with this fish and chip shop, noticed it by chance after moving back into the area and so pleased it’s in walking distance. The food is freshly cooked and very fresh fish, nothing frozen here. The prices are extremely reasonable especially when the fish 🐟 comes from Billingsgate market early every day. The staff are very friendly the service is five stars 🌟 and the restaurant is lovely 😊 and clean . We shall be a regular customer. Thank you so much Wickham Fish and Chips.

Reviewed this place before and highly rated it, for that reason we ignored that when the manager changed or the fish fryer! it went down hill!..... the last 3 weeks was the worst and the last week we had to bin it all. The fish smelt the whole dining room and kitchen out for days! to me that means cheap end cut of fish... My husband went in there to inform them and ask for explanation why the fish is now so bad, the guy doing the frying went on the defence and said well sometimes we get wet or no so good cuts!!! OH REALLY AND THEN YOU COOK AND SELL THEM TO CUSTOMERS!!! we will not go back there. there are too many other place to eat in West Wickham, so I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ANYMORE.

Visited for the first time for a takeaway of fish and chips, which is one of my favourite takeaway foods. And I was not disappointed! Friendly and efficient service, varied menu and extremely generous portions, together with delicious food. I will definitely be back!

I ordered tonight via Uber Eats and I was so surprised- the food was absolutely amazing! I asked for crispy scampi and loads of salt and vinegar on the chips and this is the first time I could actually taste the extra salt and vinegar (and I ask in every chip shop!). The chips were delicious- not swimming in grease and the chips were so chunky. We got the dogs a sausage which they were really happy with and we also got cheesy chips and a pie. The food arrived quickly, was hot and so tasty. This is be my regular from now on.

Staff reluctant to check large family order of £50+ However, being persuasive, order was confirmed as checked (begrudgingly) again. Once at home food was missing. Will not be returning. The fish also tasted low grade despite previous visit when fish was better quality.

Very pleasant service, organised by waiting outside, ordering through a Perspex covered doorway with a gap. Your order is passed out to you. Generous portions of chips. I imagined large cod to be bigger, deeper than it was. The fish was cooked very well, thin crispy batter. Overall very good

I feel I have to mention Wickham Fish And Chips the company that supplied our street lunch/dinner for the VE memorial calibrations earlier in the year. We are committed McDermotts fans but I have to say Wickham’s were delicious. Portions are individually boxed to preserves the crispness of the batter and all can be ordered from their extensive WEB Site menu. For a £2.50 fee Deliveroo will also deliver. Do yourselves a favour and have a fish and chip supper. EXCELLENT!!

The best fish and chips I have had in a long time. The Cod and Rock were fresh and the batter was light. Great food, great service. Worth every penny.

I used to buy my fish and chips here and the owner was lovely. It has changed hands. The decor is very nice but the new owners are not as friendly. The prices have also gone up considerably. I mentioned it and I was told that the fish was fresh.... Not good enough answer for me. So I'm not going there again.

Friendly efficient service. Great food. The lunchtime menu is excellent value for money. The offer of a Greek style salad instead of chips is a bonus

Visited this restaurant for the first time for a sit down meal since it's been done up and under new management. All my high expectations were met.... And then some. Lovely, kind staff. DELICIOUS food. Friendly service. Proper posh pies and fish n chips. Highly recommend! We loved the last owners and their hard work and great reputation hasn't been let down. A fantastic Fish and Chip place! Can't wait for the next take away too.

Very friendly staff who go out of their way for you. Food is excellent quality, and good prices. Spotless dining area if you want to sit in and eat rather than take them away with you.

The best Cod n Chips in the area, they are always willing and helpful to eat in or take away, ask for extra crispy fish batter or grilled fish (takes longer obviously best to phone first) Nice clean seating area, services is excellent.

Can't better fish and chips shop ever. Really clean and tidy, pleasant friendly people working there. To to deliver nice and tasteful food quickly and with no fuss. Will go there again.

No matter what you order you are always guaranteed a great meal at a very good price served by Al and Syd who always give great service and a smile. They are part of the community and well worth their 5 star rating on scores on the doors.

Traditional fish and chips, very reasonably priced, spacious seating area and lovely friendly manager and staff.

Never fails to be tasty and you are always made to feel welcome. Al and Sid have run this fish and chip shop for years and always have been rates 5 stars by scores on the doors. You always get a great service from amazing fish with no bones, tasty freshly cooked chips and a treat for children. Great value for money.

Food is always freshly cooked, served with a smile and great value. While you wait for your food to be cooked you are always given a few to eat. Portions are good sizes. Very popular family run business run by Sid and Al. No one ever leaves this place hungry.
