I liked it that they welcomed us even with walk in on a busy Saturday night and all the more when a neighbourhood restaurant despite booking couldn’t welcome us and was not at all accommodating since we were early there. Having tried wildwood in chelmsford previously, we preferred to dine here. We were being served by Samir, he was kind & patient & he remembered not to add mushrooms in repeat order of Grilled courgette pizza even though we missed to mention & despite being so very busy. In food, we had ordered Grilled courgette & goats cheese pizza ; vegetable primavera; super food salad ; truffle & cheese fries and focaccia. The food was decent though I would have preferred pizza to be more hot. Repeat order of goats cheese pizza was served hot & that was delicious. Good option to dine in when around covent garden

Tarek was absolutely wonderful and brilliant and really helped us thoroughly and took care of us! would totally recommend to my friends and would definitely come back

I happened upon this wonderful place when looking to take my friend for a birthday lunch, he atmosphere was lovely and relaxed the staff really friendly and helpful and the food was great a real gem in the heart of London. Most highly recommend.

Had a decent meal in here before the theatre. Was expecting a bit of a standard chain experience but actually it was nicer than that, food is good, service was quick, and we found it easy to get a table. Only gripe is the price, we managed to spend £80 between two people despite only one person having a main. I know it’s prime tourist area but, still.

My family had a lovely lunch here today and I would happily recommend. Lovely busy atmosphere but it was the service from Tarek that really stood out. He made a great impression, clearly has a passion for great service and it shows.

Hassled service from an overworked staff. Food VERY underwhelming. Several starters cold and returned. One starter unavailable despite being pre-ordered and only notified as starters came out despite having arrive on time for booking and waiting for almost an hour to come out. Won’t be returning

I ordered a chicken burger, the bread was completely burnt, I showed it to the waiter and they only brought me the top part of the sandwich, the bottom part remained burnt.

Just dropped in to here to get some dinner after being turned away by several nearby establishment's for seemingly no reason it was fantastic to be welcomed into a friendly environment, all we wanted was a relaxed dinner and this place delivered, along with the great staff that catered for our every need.. nice cold beer on tap and outstanding pizza, great serving sizes. My wife and I didn't really need the deserts after such a great meal, but we had to try a couple of different ones so we could sample each other's desrets.. and wow, just wow, simple but delicious, it's so good to be able to get food and service like this in this area without paying through the nose, dinner for both of us was cheaper than breakfast and my wife had 2 cocktails and I had a beer.. in fact our drinks were cheaper than our coffee's on this day which we got just down the road, what a gem of a restaurant, and thank you to the staff that made us feel this way I can highly recommend this place..

Absolutely amazing place! Pizza was unbelievably good! The portion was a good size and the price! Very very cheap for the area you’re in. Definitely recommend. The service was amazing also; shout out to Samir! Will definitely come back for more!

We were just able to arrive at 7:30 PM without a reservation. Pizzas can no longer be ordered. Delicious food and very nice service. Closes at 9:00 PM, which is a bit early. No tip possible when paying by card, a bit strange.

Staff was great and friendly. Food was so-so. Chicken piccante ok, calzone was cold in the middle and there was almost no tomato on the pizza margherita. Honestly felt like the whole thing was taken from the freezer and heated up.

Antes de escribir esta reseña envié un correo electrónico al restaurante para darles la oportunidad de opinar. Fui el sábado pasado y envié un correo electrónico esa noche, así que tuvieron la oportunidad de responder y no lo han hecho... Llegamos antes de las 6 pm para la reserva de 6 pm. El saludador no era muy amable o feliz en absoluto! ¡No es acogedor! Cuando nos mostraron a nuestra mesa teníamos otra señora muy gruñona. Los 2 servidores jóvenes eran tan agradable, pero lamentablemente tuvimos el más viejo gruñón! ¡Iba tan lejos como para decir que era grosera! Esposa pidió su comida sin el pulpo, que el servidor dijo que estaba bien, pero la comida todavía venía con él más 4 de los mejillones que no podía comer como no abierto. ¡Seguro que esto es pagar por comida que no puede comer! El servidor no sonrió ni una vez. Incluso la oí decir "pesadilla" cuando se alejó de la mesa a nuestro lado. Ella arruinó toda la experiencia. Lástima que pagamos el cargo por servicio, ya que realmente no recibimos un buen servicio en absoluto! Pero estoy seguro de que no se molestaron en absoluto por esta crítica. Así que una pena y una visita tan decepcionante! 😔 En un positivo buenas elecciones de alimentos a base de plantas, por lo tanto dio un 2 en lugar de un 1 !

Reservado y contento de que lo hicimos en un sábado ocupado en diciembre, llegamos y todavía tenía que esperar a nuestra mesa, pero estaba lleno. El menú es de precio razonable y buenas opciones, menú para niños es variado aquellos pizza de mi hijo era pequeña! Las bebidas como la mayoría de los lugares son caras, la comida se servía caliente y era abundante. El personal era amable y atento y no se sintió apresurado incluso aquellos que estaba ocupado y se necesitaban mesas. Gran ubicación y buen ambiente.

Pizza wasn’t too bad, quite dry though and the fact they don’t have jalapeños is borderline criminal (can you claim to be good at pizza if you don’t stock jalapeños?). We did notice that the staff were absolutely freezing cold, not a smile in sight. Wednesday from the Addams Family is positively congenial in comparison. Unusual for central London in this day and age. Thankfully there are thousands of better places nearby.

We stopped here last minute on a Friday eavning. We was able to get a table very easy. Even though they were very busy it was not a problem. Its our 1st time here and we were very impressed with the food. Cooked well , taste amazing and Service was very quick , the staff were very lovley. I definitely recommend!!

Not even worth a one star. Service sucks, foods are overpriced and the portion is small. Among our big group, only soup was worth it. I returned my fries and they gave this fries with ashes, burned like hell. Water jug looks like IKEA jug. My friend ordered soup and they forgot to give spoon. Overall, the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Please don't visit. Such a waste of money.

Pizza for chumps. Charged around £14 for a moudly tasting base, very lightly brushed tasteless tomato sauce and a stingey amount of bland tasting cheese. To make it worse, charged £1.60 for literally 4 crumb size peppers. Has to go down as the biggest rip of pizza ever. Staff and environment were nice. Maybe pizza is not wild woods thing. Buck up the pizzas!

I’ve been to this place a few times before, and it never disappoints! The food was top-notch, especially the Seafood Linguine and Chicken & Chorizo Calzone, which were spot on in taste and presentation. The service was fantastic too; the staff were super friendly and checked in on us regularly. My only critique is the Penne Arrabbiata was a bit too spicy for my daughter, but overall, we had a great experience. Definitely coming back for more deliciousness!

We came to eat at 5pm as a group of 3. And the response was shocking, we came celebrating our friends cancer recovery! They stsrted to look for us as we didnt have a reservation. We were looking for a drink and some deserts to continue our evening. And they literally stopped looking and immediately said they were too busy! Too busy , with tables vacant. The way this was said was rude, and there is no way I would ever come back here again. Or recommend anyone else to. We understand it's a Saturday, but that was just plain rude!

We had an awesome meal here. Our server Tarek was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and funny. Our meals were all delicious, the wine Tarek recommended was really good 👍 the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend this place, make sure you book to avoid disappointment!

I dropped by this restaurant and it was a good experience all around. The food and drinks were both good, though the garlic bread could have been better if it hadn't been burnt underneath. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were enjoying our meal without any hassle. The atmosphere was nice,. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Really tasty food, we were able to pay extra to have toppings on our pizza. We felt sorry for the staff, this branch was a lot busier than the Seven Dials branch and there was only 2 people on the floor, one which I think was a manager so was dealing with bills more. Maybe it was just a one off and they normally have more staff but did feel bad for them. Food was hot, tables were clean

We have been to Wildwood Covent Garden before & are always keen to go back whenever we are in London. The location is ideal, the food is great & the staff are always helpful, charming & very attentive. It’s also very good value for money for Central London.

Lovely restaurant and great atmosphere. Friends pizza was tasty and fresh, a large size. My philly sandwich was tiny though. Seemed to get the tail end of the sourdough bread. Not worth the money. I've been to the States and tried the real thing. Wildwood philly sandwich a bit of a let down. However, would go back for a pizza.

I never review places, but this restaurant was so lovely and affordable - a rarity in Covent Garden! My friends and I had the lunch special which was delicious! Such a cute spot as well.

We enjoyed the food and drink here. Ordered Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries, steak and fries, prawns and a Caesar salad. Plus desserts. Tasted good and well presented. Drinks cocktails cider and long island tea. The long Island tea could have tasted better as didn't seem to taste much alcohol in the drink. The waitress who served us was very nice.

Average food for the price paid. Had better. Service none existent, would have been nice for the staff to come over and ask if all was ok and if you needed anything else.

Have been here a couple of times and loved it! Revisited on Thursday 15th last week and the food was amazingly delicious especially the carbonara and chocolate brownie. We were served by Hannah most of the evening who was super polite and friendly and made sure to check everything was okay. She even allowed us to try a wine so we could make sure it was the right one. Tarek was also friendly and funny, he served us a few times and made us feel comfortable. Definitely will be returning more than once!

This place had incredible food and very quick and friendly service. I had the 10oz Ribeye steak and the cookies and cream cheesecake and they both came in very good time and tasted amazing. The staff were all friendly and cheerful even when they had to keep running outside to bring me things. Prices for the food weren’t too bad either considering the area and the quality of the food. My only minor complaint is that the drinks were slightly expensive but other than that would highly recommend. 10/10

Pre-theatre lunch (Frozen at the Drury Lane Theatre) with our grandchildren. Excellent location to get to the theatre in a minute or two. Children had a two course meal plus drink for £7.95 and we were impressed by the portion sizes of both the pizza (chicken and pepperoni - 75p extra for a second topping) and warm chocolate brownie with ice-cream. The spaghetti bolognese was a good size too. The activities on the children's menu kept the children occupied for some time. Our grandchildren were aged 7 years (with a very large appetite) and five years. As adults we had spaghetti pomodoro and Philly-steak sandwich. I was surprised the draught Italian beer worked out a lot more expensive than the bottled equivalent and opted for the 660ml bottle (same price as a draught pint).. Our waitress / server was particularly good with the children - although the two men, who appeared to be management, were watchers rather than do-ers. Good clean toilets (downstairs).

To be fair it was just about the only place who had space for a walk in. Rammed. Food was ok, i had seafood risotto. It wasn’t great, watery and not really risotto you’d expect. Catering for masses of tourists.

Dropped in post theatre and pre train earlier in July. Breath of fresh air. Freshly made Italian food at its best. Really good prices, wide selection. Great attentive service. Really good atmosphere Would recommend

Very good experience The woman who served us was really nice, the place was lovely and the pizzas were good too. We took two vegetarians pizza to share between 3 persons and they were both very tasty. I highly recommend this place for the good food and the good service.

Pleasant enough room, but staff could have been a bit more effusive. Chicken Milanese was pretty good and a generous portion but the Seafood Risotto was poor - chewy (probably frozen) seafood and way too much chilli

Went to Wildwood with my 2 kids and husband before the theatre. Service is excellent, and they had kids menu and crayons to keep them occupied. I ordered a buttermilk chicken burger which was quite dry and bland and the bun slightly burnt. My daughter had a mini burger which was again burnt and bitter so she didn't eat it. The kids bolognese was nice and my husband had a nice lasagna. Convenient as near to Drury Lane Theatre Royal!

This restaurant was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. It wasn't in the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden itself (which we were quite happy with, to be fair). Certainly deserved 5* ratings for food and service... the only reason I've put 3 for the atmosphere is because we went on a Sunday afternoon and there weren't many people in then, but again, that suited us 😊

When we arrived, it was packed, and we had no reservation. Fortunately, we didn’t wait too long to get a table for two. The waiter who took our orders knew the menu well and made great suggestions. When I ordered my seafood pasta, he recommended less chili, which was perfect. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I had the sea bass with veg. It was so disappointing. It was overcooked (burnt in one side with fish sticking to the sin like cardboard) and very small. The vegetables were very salty too. I also asked for a white wine spritzer in a very large glass and it came in an ordinary wine glass with a little jug of flat soda. I was not impressed at all. I definitely won't be going back again as the meal was substandard for the money paid and waitress did not not listen to my request. I wish I had taken a photo to show you.

Great venue to take in a pre show meal

I went to the restaurant with family for my 50th birthday. Never again. Calzone hardly had any filling in it. Was mainly dough. Resoto looked like a starter. And the sticky toffee pudding was about 1 cm thick. Felt rushed. They started clearing. the plates while people were still eating. And then gave out dessert menus while still eating mains and didn't want us to wait before ordering them. Never before have I experienced this kind of service anywhere.

We went here with 7 guests tonight . A great place for pre theatre dinner . I have to say that Blemrim and his team were so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing , nicely presented and tasted delicious. We made Blerim aware that we were celebrating a birthday and he presented a birthday candle dessert . I will be returning here for sure . The restaurant itself looks lovely and the design of it all. We were 'shown' to our table by I believe the manager who just chucked the menus on the table and then started talking to someone else (first flag, and tbh we should have left) we then asked a question about student discount and the gentleman seems irritated that we asked really rude and just said read what it says and was not helpful at all. We then ordered and my partners food had hair in it TWICE.... We complained the first time and the dish was replaced, by this point, my food was getting cold and we were charing one plate. Once his food arrived it was nice but found another hair near the end stuck in the cheese.... very disappointing. They weren't very apologetic about this. Wasn't offered a drink or something to nibble on while be waited. This item was taken off the receipt but then said we can't use student discount as they had taken an item of the menu (like we should be thankful and they were doing us a favour) but no other 'sorry'. Over all very disappointing. Also zucchini fries were sooo oily and do not taste of anything but oil. Wasn't very welcoming or friendly at all. The lady who gave us the wine was lovely and had an amazing smile, wish we had her serving us!

Covent Garden is a seriously expensive place to eat with most dishes around double the cost I'd expect to pay locally to home. However, that's exactly what made Wildwood like an oasis because the prices here were much more reasonable. The food quality was excellent, as was the service by Samir. The restaurant also has a pleasant ambience, with soft, unobtrusive music in the background.

We came in during a Thursday pre-theatre rush hour. Unfortunately, we waited around 50 minutes for our mains. We were not sure if the long wait was usual during a rush hour or if they were just shortstaffed on the day. The pizzas were tasty and we even got an extra pizza as they admitted making by mistake which was resolved after few extra minutes. My partner's seared sesame-crusted tuna steak with gnocchi looked absolutely stunning, unfortunately wasn't medium as advertised but very well done and dry. The premises had nice decor and were well looked after. Service was professional and friendly. Overall, we believe this to be a great restaurant and we were probably just unlucky. We are not opposed to come another time, perhaps not during a rush hour, therefore we would recommend this place for any occasion.

We arrived for a table of 6 on a very busy Saturday, late afternoon, but only had to wait a short while and we were kindly accommodated. The food and cocktails were very good and we had an enjoyable time. We were impressed that there was not a long wait for food despite the restaurant being completely full. The only disappointment was the smell of cigarette smoke the whole time we were there. I am not sure if there is a smoking area at the back of the restaurant and it wafted through (although no exit door could be seen) - but it was a shame, as the smell was noticeably constant and not pleasant whilst eating

Always a warm welcome at Wildwood, whatever the location but specially at Covent garden where Tarek always goes above and beyond! The food is amazing at reasonable prices and we always leave with a smile on our faces!

Possibly my favourite restaurant in London. Have been here a few times now in the last few years and each time the service is amazing and the food is delicious. The staff really actually care if you enjoy your time there. Highly recommend.

Food wasn’t good. Pasta tasted like dolmio, expected more from a restaurant. Steak was chewy. Staff was busy and arrogant and they really let it show. Service fare is a joke.

Amazing food and fantastic service by Tarek. We had to be ontime for the Lion King theatre show and were panicking if we could make it. Tarek made sure the food and bill and everything arrived fast so that we could be on time. Thanks for that..Overall good food and nice service.

The service here is fantastic! I have been a couple times and on my second time the waiter reconsidered me and there has been a 6 month gap! The service was speedy and the food fantastic!

After a long hot day, sight seeing we landed on this place . We got seated straight away but others had reservations. We were welcomed by a lovely member of staff and drink orders were taken swiftly. We ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwicht and the sea bass . We didn't wait too long for it to arrive. The sea bass was cooked really well and seasoned just right. It was £48 for the meal and a glass of savigon blanc. It is not very accessible with tightly packed tables and stairs to the toilets and further seating. There were a number of children in the restaurant fresh from seeing the frozen musical which is just around the corner, so the venue was child friendly.

The food was amazing. In central London, at a sit-down restaurant, our pasta was £8. They offered lovely infused olive oil and grated cheese on top of jt. Definitely come here to enjoy the warm atmosphere, interesting decor, and delightful food.

Went here prior to going to the theatre and we were worried about timings, the staff were reassuring that they would do everything possible to get our food ready in time, even taking our order before we were seated. True to their word it was super quick, delicious and served by pleasant and kind staff, upon asking for tomato sauce, the reply was ....absolutely Highly recommended place and well done to all working here

On Thurs 8 Feb we walked past this restaurant and liked the look of the menu and the place looked busy. We thought as we had eaten a full meal at lunchtime we would just have a starter each and a drink before we went on to our show. My wife wanted the Chicken Liver Pate £8:25 and I opted for the Garlic Tiger Prawns £8:95. We also added a side order of Tuscan Roasted Potatoes £4:75. While we waited for our food my wife had a 250ml House White which was priced well at £7:30 while I just had a Decaf Cappuccino Coffee at £3:75. All was going well as the service was efficient and friendly from Samir. Things took a turn for the worse when our starters arrived. My wife's food was superb and she tucked straight in. My Garlic Tiger Prawns which should have at least been hot were certainly not. The sauce was warm and when I tried eating the first prawn it was cold and I had to spit it back out on my plate. I asked the waiter why it was cold and he apologised and took it away. My wife had nearly completed her starter when a very apologetic waiter finally arrived with my piping hot Prawns which were superb. I was surprised that know one came over and offered us anything as a courtesy compensation for the obvious error in the kitchen? Anyway when I received our bill for our two starters and drinks including a tip which came to £48:12, I just paid up in full and left. I would be worried about eating here again as I could not guarantee the quality of the food. For that reason I would not recommend and would most probably now eat somewhere else next time we come to London.
