My other half and I decided to book an afternoon tea this afternoon and we had an amazing time! The sandwiches were super tasty and the fillings were quite generous! I asked not to have cucumber sandwiches so Clare kindly added more of the others. The Victorian sponge, cupcakes and scones were delicious and the freshly brewed tea was the icing on the cake. We also had the afternoon tea delivered at home during lockdown and it is a great alternative to bear in mind! Well done Clare and see you soon!

Fantastic afternoon tea here yesterday for a birthday celebration. Very generous amounts of homemade sandwiches and cakes which I felt were excellent value for money. They catered well for gluten free, vegan etc. I had no idea that the Victoria sponge I ate was gluten free it was so amazing. Soon to move to Merton Abbey Mills where they deserve every success.

Thought we would support local business not the usual chain coffee shop but Wow how expensive £10.10 for a small coffee, lemonade and 2 extremely small bite size plain muffins. Lovely helpful friendly staff we were the only 2 people in the tea room. Just too expensive I'm afraid!

Absolute terrible food and drinks. Do not go here and staff so rude. Prices are a joke for the service you receive.

Thank you to Clare and her team for making us feel welcome at Willow Bough. She made adjustments to the menu to suit the little ones and her and her staff were always very attentive. There were even toys and books to keep them entertained. The cake was delicious and nothing beats that homemade touch. We will be back!

I visited this lovely tea room after an appointment at the Nelson medical centre. I’m so glad I did! The wonderful breakfast was just what I needed! Tasty scrambled eggs on seeded toast; lovely, strong coffee and I followed it with a piece of homemade cake. The owner, Clare was a delight to chat with as she was so friendly! I’ll definitely be returning!

I really love this tearoom having been there 3 times, 2 for afternoon tea. Wonderful tea, wonderful cakes and biscuits and the scones are the best and on top of that they had one talented lady playing beautiful music this morning! Friendly staff and cosy shop... what else you can ask for?

Went to the tea rooms recently with a booked “slot” for afternoon tea. We were shown to our table and the tea, sandwiches, cakes, scones, clotted cream & jam all arrived together. We weren’t asked what type of bread we wanted or if we had any allergies; saw a note on the counter after it arrived. The sandwiches were lovely apart from I can’t eat smoked salmon! The lemon drizzle cake was beautiful except it didn’t taste of lemon, the strawberry muffin was lovely, the scones were quite hard on the outside and fell apart when you tried to cut them to put cream & jam on. But the tea was plentiful & we had two lots of that. The owner spent the whole time we were there, 2 hrs, on her phone & laptop talking loudly next to our table! We felt there was not the personal service you would expect in such a small tea room. I would go there again as I believe in 2nd chances!

In a world of fast food and faceless corporate behemoths, thankfully places like Willow Bough still exist. Friendly, cheery, cosy, welcoming, relaxed and with superb teas served in authentic china cups, with unpretentious but delicious cakes. If only there were more places like Willow Bough and fewer places like Starbucks. Use it or lose it, as they say! :-)

There was a photographer in store taking pictures of a cake. A large group had just last so it was busy and chaotic. A lady who I assumed was the owner cleared and cleaned a table quickly. The waitress came for our order and we asked for the lunch special, sandwich, cake and pot of tea. The waitress didn't know what the offer was which I found surprising as it's quite a limited menu.

Fabulous cakes, teas and biscuits! My friend and I had the Christmas afternoon tea (vegetarian) and it was just so yummy. We opted for the ginger tea and it was a real delight. The Stilton and chutney finger sandwiches were absolutely Devine! The tearoom is quaint and has a very homely atmosphere. Everything is fresh and baked on site and the owner Clare sprinkles passion into every single one of her cakes! I highly recommend the chocolate chip scones.

A friend was visiting so three of us decided this looked a sweet tea room to visit. Sadly it lacked atmosphere. The table service was good, and staff very pleasant. I have been to Willow Bough a number of times now for lunch or just tea and cake. I love that the tea is served in pretty pots with cups and saucers and the homemade cakes are just beautiful to taste and look at! The attention to detail by the ladies that run it is wonderful, pretty decorated sugar lumps and excellent friendly service. Next on my list is to try the afternoon tea, just waiting for the right occasion. This is a real gem of a place and I wish there were more like it in London.

This is truly a little jewel. Clare is the kindest and welcoming person, her cakes are just amazing. The Tea Room itself is lovely, well decorated, with a little, separated room to stay even quieter. The prices are absolutely affordable and amazing for the quality of food and drink. I think it deserves to be visited, and more than once.

Has a traditional tea room atmosphere, however its full potential is lost. My friend and have been twice within a year. At our last visit, my black Americano and my friend’s latte were warm. On the visit before this one, the tea was hot but the cakes were dry. Not sure I would go again. If they could get these basics right it would be so much better with many local returning customers using the tea room.

Willow Bough Tea Rooms is the charming quintessential little shop that every town in England should have- and maybe did have once upon a time- just as important as a pub. It is cosy with it its wooden tables and chairs, traditional china, white dresser with charming cards to purchase and Classic FM's music playing in the background. The homemade cakes bake in the back kitchen and their tempting aromas make you feel at home, as does Claire, the owner. It is so refreshing to see an independent tea shop, with fresh products and character, instead of yet another predictable chain. Coffee shops have their place, but in England, it is a shame that there are not more of these traditional shops and locals should help support their locals. It is ideal to go with a good book, or to write, or to go with friends for a catch up over a proper cup of tea and a slice of the the delicious Chocolate banana bread.

Sadly, it seems the London of the past is being buried beneath an onslaught of commercialism and, especially, Americanism. But, don't give up, because there are diehards out there, like Dom in the Leather Bottle just across the village center, and Claire. Claire of the Willow Bough, who operates genuine -- not authentic -- genuine tea rooms in a day and age too busy for warming the pot and straining and foregoing *shudder* sugar.

Excellent customer service from entering to exit. Lovely smiley people serving great hot and cold drinks. The cakes are outstanding . We sampled a traditional Victoria sponge and rose water and pistachio sponge, both were delicious. Speaking to the owner Clare she told us that she bakes everyday which would account for how fresh the cakes were.

Willow Bough has amazing tea and cakes. They bake everything on the premise. It's all homemade and is delicious. My husband booked a Valentine's Day High Tea for us and it was one of the best tea times I've ever had. The staff is delightful and atmosphere is very cozy. You will love your time at. Willow Bough!

I am over the moon that Willow Bough has cropped up as a local tea room. It is a lovely space, very cosy and thoughtfully decorated. It feels like a home from home. The staff are wonderfully pleasant and attentive and you can really tell they love what they do. The cakes were by far the best bit - outstanding range, quality and flavour, and all baked on the premises. There is plenty of choice of savoury options and drinks, and they cater for Gluten Free needs as well. We were a large group of 6 and overall we had such a great experience here.

Waited an hour for sandwiches, then got served the wrong order! Astounding as there were only two other groups there, one already eating. Our little girl patiently waited for her cheese sandwich, which turned out to be several lumps of cheese thrown into a couple of pieces of white bread. The Bree sandwich was passable but nothing can excuse the bad service- we received a reserved, muted apology but it didn't seem genuine. We won't be returning and certainly wouldn't recommend
