Wimpy in Stafford

Called into Wimpy, somewhere we have been vising for over 40 years, never had a problem till today, food was missing luckily we had only drove 100 yards when I checked the bag, drove back to pick the item up, got home to then realise the burger was missing and had an extra bender in bun instead. £30 spent and money wasted as my child doesn't eat sausages.

Decided to have a burger before our drive home. Walked round Shugborough Hall all day. Wimpy was the perfect retro treat on a perfect day out. Proper took me back to my childhood trips to Cannock Chase with my Aunt and Uncle. Food was served piping hot and tasted great, so much better that Mc D's, even better that BK. So glad this is still here!

We stopped by here on a rainy day in cannock chase. The wait for food was very short, and the food itself was nice and hot. Very friendly service also. Would come back when we're next in the area

What a fantastic find! We went for a walk in Cannock Chase and we're freezing, so we called in to the Wimpy. Although we had to wait, it was definitely worth it for the freshly cooked burger and chips. Very friendly staff and I loved the indoor eating area.

As good as it always was. Quarter pounder and cheese brought back memories of the 80's. Fast service, good staff. Excellent food

My first and last time to wimpy! I’ve never had anything quite like it! The double cheeseburger was bland tasteless and greasy made me sick!

Visited Friday afternoon with three generations of family. Used click and collect as we were going to Shugborough. Service was perfect, the staff were very friendly and so helpful. They helped make our day special. Thank you

We went to wimpy’s in search off good food and we found it here . We got a chicken burger and a cheese burger (which were both amazing 🤩 ) And then we ordered a marshmallow ice cream which was delicious . This place was just what we were looking for a fast food lunch !

thought it was sus !! when asked for a bender and she said do you want onions on it? what a bloody liberty. the shake was watery and didn’t even taste of vanilla! burger was so thin you could see threw it! i shall not be returning. childhood completely ruined !!

Found this on the Wimpy website and diverted through the village to have a Wimpy International Grill- My favourite.. Only to find that this is a takeaway stand not a real table service Wimpy bar!.. So no international grill for me!.. Luckily there's a lovely pub right next door ....

This restaurant consistently delivers tasty hot food with great service. We used to live 30 miles away and visited as a treat, but now we live abroad and still felt compelled during a recent visit to return for our favourite burger. This restaurant and surrounding area is always clean and well kept, and the additional controls in place to keep staff and customers safe were excellent. It’s easy to see why this little gem continues to thrive. Long may it continue - we shall be back!

Saw this hidden gem on Saturday morning and ordered two burgers, fries and drinks. Came to just over £20. Been years since I'd had Wimpy and always preferred it to McDonalds. Couldn't wait to tuck into my food but even looking at the burger, it was nothing like Wimpy used to be. Took one bite and threw it away. Tasted like a burger out of a tin or something. Greasy and nasty. Never again. Gutted...

I haven’t been to Wimpy in donkeys years but was pleased I went, it’s great. Yes it’s slightly more expensive than McDonald’s but it tastes better, tastes fresher and is supporting a culinary institution. Click and collect worked brilliantly, you could even choose your pick up slot and also customise your burgers. Milkshakes were thick (as they should be!) and you can also order bottles of their special sauce. Last praise goes to the staff - they were superb. Working their socks off, they did it with a smile on their face and were polite and friendly throughout. There was a slight error with my order (not surprised with how busy they were!) but they dealt with it brilliantly and left me really impressed with their customer service. If their boss is reading this they deserve a raise! Overall great experience and I shall visit again when I next go to Cannock chase!

An expensive treat when you go for a Wimpy. At £7:70 for a chicken fillet burger, chips and cold drink (20p extra to upgrade to a large drink), it’s not that often I can afford to have a treat here. With the burgers we’ve had from here, it’s essential you check they’re cooked properly before eating them because with the ones we’ve had (whether vegeburgers, normal or chicken fillet), they vary from properly cooked, to the ‘only just done’, to the ‘cold in the middle’ and oozing cold water. The burger buns used to be toasted, I think, but they aren’t any more - which is disappointing (personal preference). I remember the Mr Wimpy of old, in the Yeoman uniform, which was wonderful to see. I like the shelter with the seating inside, I’d like the tables to be bigger though because by the time you’ve unwrapped a meal or 3 you’re out of table space! I’d love to buy a soft, cuddly Mr Wimpy toy.... if that could be arranged!!
