Win Wah House in Nuneaton and Bedworth

I have been coming here since its opening in the very early 80s. I moved to London in 1986 and whenever I'm home I have to stop by just for the large pancake roll, which BTW is not nearly as big and at £3.40 is not cheap either. I ordered 2 x pancake roll and 1 x salt & chilli ribs, total £14.30. Went to pay with my card and was informed I have to spend £15. I reluctantly looked at the menu but I did not want to spend another £7 on a dish when I wasn't that hungry. I really wanted to walk out but I needed my pancake roll fix, so I agreed to be charged £15 for my £14.30 order... I was then shocked at how expensive it has become, most dishes are over £7 and on par with what I pay in London. I am super pissed off and having been a loyal customer for over 40 years, I don't think I'll be back.

Had food from here many a time in the past. Always excellent, however the last couple of times we have ordered, the food has been underwhelming to be honest. I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt the need to this time. The food was going to be an hour. Which is fine and expected on a Saturday evening. It finally arrived 1hr and 40 minutes later. One of the bag of chips was cold and overcooked, the other was lovely and warm. The rice was cold and there were strands of long blonde hair in the chips. We are all dark haired in our house. Also, the prawns in the curry were hard and cold in the middle. I did try and call the restaurant to let them know how dissatisfied I was with the meal, but the line was constantly engaged. By the time we ate the bits that were edible the hunger had passed and kind of felt a bit put off. Always been more than happy with the food and service, however the last 2/3 orders we’ve had have been disappointing. Not sure if I will order from here again.

So surely when you take a booking of 19 people 13 of them being children.1 having massive dietary requirements which he can’t eat all stated on booking, you would think they would no this when we arrived. No they never the person who couldn’t eat was told to sit in the bar. So when addressed was allowed to sit with our table but in there own language was told to watch his every single move, to make sure he wasn’t eating. Then we was told to be quite not once but three times we wasn’t being over noisy there was a lot of us. Then we get to the food I can’t tell you enough how we will never return here the food was absolutely awful. In many ways dried out wet sloppy also most of it was cold. For the money we spent we was treated disgusted also. The toilets were disgusting very poor hygiene. If you want to visit a Chinese buffet I would give this place a miss. The staff do not make you feel welcome and the food is a very poor standers. Such ashame as was for a birthday.

Food is always excellent from this takeaway. Recommend the Singapore Chow Mein! Fresh, prompt and reasonably priced. Best in town

Brilliant Chinese, food was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Wouldn’t use any other Chinese due to the fact that there was no waste, thoroughly enjoyed it and so did the kids, which is what makes this a great place as my kids are very fussy eaters indeed. Amazing chicken curry wouldn’t go anywhere else , great take away food has always been great taste my go to Chinese

What can I say , called for delivery to Ashgreen? Told we don’t deliver there ? So picked it up , we only take cash ? Got home food was Luke warm and the chips weren’t cooked! Nether again! Ok

Pretty simple story really - had had a few beers on Saturday evening and stopped in at about 8pm as I couldn't be bothered to go home and cook. Had never actually used the place before so didn't know what to expect - service was quick and friendly and I got a lovely tasting chicken chow mein for just over a fiver. Will definitely use again.

We thought we would give Win Wah House a chance as we usually use Golden Bridge in Nuneaton. I phoned an order in to pick up at a specific time, and it was ready at the specified time.The kids loved the sweet and sour chicken. And I tried the beef satay. Whilst this was nice it was a lot lot hotter than the satay from GB, so keep this in mind if you are doing the same. The prawn crackers were a little expensive at £2, but were tasty. Overall I’d be more than happy to visit again and would recommend the food, especially if you like it spicy.

Had chicken curry n rice ....Curry taste like powder n egg fried rice was rubbery...worst Chinese ever had would not recommend to anyone

Food tasted freshly cooked and each dish we ordered tasted different. Other Chinese we have had all tasted the same just different veg and meat.

Now known as the Ginger Tree, the quality has gone up. Still fairly dear but better value than previously.

Have a takeaway quite regularly from here must say the food and service is of a very high standard. Would recommend this Chinese to anyone.

Located on the edge of the pedestrianised town centre, opposite a Witherspoons, the menu is standard, the service friendly and good, but its the same as thousands of Chinese takeaways throughout the country. It works for them and is a successful formula, but is it not time for a refresh or a reboot?

New to the area and first visit here but what a disappointment. I'm a big fan of chow mein and thought this was in the top 3 of worst ever chow meins I've ever had. Completely tasteless noodles....they seemed to have been boiled rather than stir fried in some nice oils and my king prawns were rubbery and very chewy. Won't be in a rush to go back that's for sure.

I've been getting food from here for years, I think it's quality spare ribs with garlic salt and chilli are banging.🖒🖒🖒
