Helmingham Hall is a delight. The gardens are extremely well maintained – it seems by magic because there are not the dozens of people that it must need to keep it looking so good and changing it through the seasons. We are members of the Historic Houses Association so we have free entry – and we go there often. It’s inevitable that we stop off at the café; either for an evening meal after one of the summer late closings, or as on this occasion for breakfast. Not a traditional breakfast. I had a delicious cheesecake and a nice strong coffee. Others in the family had avocado on sourdough with bacon (intriguingly sweet), poached eggs and pea shoots. The younger ones had a sausage roll (they were expecting a massive fry up! Not here matey). I cleared up the crumbs of the sausage roll– it was in the top 3 of sausage rolls, possibly number 1. It’s all served by a team of smiley people and the café outside space is wonderful with hanging baskets all perfect with not a dead flower to be seen. How do they do that? It did help that it was a fabulously warm day!

I went to the Garden fayre and started in the cafe with a delicious toastie. God they are good. Later in the day I sat outside and had one of their salad bowls which was utterly amazing. Lovely service, great food!

We really enjoyed our visit to Wright's situated in the Helmingham Hall Estate. The courtyard setting is idyllic on a sunny day but there is also plenty of indoor seating if you prefer. The choice of delicious drinks & food is amazing. The staff are polite, friendly & helpful. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Fantastic cafe, the best lunch of our 1 week stay in Suffolk. We loved the menu for its slightly unusual and really tasty offerings; we had smoked salmon, dill and cucumber open sandwich and a "posh" cheese toastie with spicy shredded beef- good value and filling. Staff all looked about 16 years old (!) and were all really slick and organised, keeping wait times short and turning tables with confidence and good cheer. Very much added to our enjoyment of this wonderful property/ garden

Was intrigued to see how the successful Wrights food would transfer to Helmingham hall. All the usual and expected menu was there including the famous Reuben toasted sandwich and lots of decent cake choices. Unfortunately the table we sat at was sticky/crumbs dirty and nobody offered to clean it, infact we didn't see a single table wiped or cleaned while we were there. My chair actually had a broken arm rest and was in need of quick repair. It was obviously broken so why had no one taken it away? The coffee is £3.50 for a flat white which although quality coffee did seem expensive for the surroundings offered. The staff just delivered food to tables.

The owner of this place does not have a clue about running a business which includes giving polite, courteous customer service because she has none of these skills! Off hand, flippant and down right rude are skills she is good at. The staff they employ are inexperienced, ignorant and lacking any customer skills also. Asked if they could serve a flat white coffee they responded, “never heard of it” and when we asked what beer they had the waitress said one in a bottle with a red label and one with a blue label. Unbelievable! Overpriced and the food is very mediocre, we cook better and tastier at home. Never go again and would never recommend. Tip for owner, go on a management course to help your inexperienced staff and while there learn some customer service skills.

Why anyone would choose to call a cafe Tickety Boo is beyond me but the food is good and you don't eat the name! Very strange and off-putting style where they take your money before you eat - which meant we didn't order any cake after our meal as we couldn't be bothered to queue and pay all over again. None of the diners I've seen in here look like the type that would run off without paying! Despite this the food really was excellent and I will be back for more.

We went there to order lunch, and our mistake, no lunch on weekends. The staff was helpful, the food was delicious and creative. The theme is cats, no surprise. It's a very small place, maybe 10 tables, and while the staff is nice, the postings around the cafe are clear that they want you to leave when you're done eating. There's a "no camping" theme aimed at turning over tables. Also on the back of the drinks menu is a list of funny/snarky rules about how guests should behave in their cafe. I get the "don't drink and drive" comment. Some I find a little much though. YMMV. They will charge % if you use a credit card, and will give you a discount if you wear either cat eye glasses or a cowboy hat (or both) while you're eating. If we go again instead of going for savory substance we'll try sweet treats. There's cumin in the salsa.

Popped in for a cheeky breakfast, and wasn't disappointed. Good, fresh food and reasonably priced - £9 for what's pictured, which is very reasonable in modern times! I heard this morning that porridge at Sandringham is £8.50, and I'll bet it isn't as good as this!
