Zaitun in Havering

Ordered for 5 people, one main missing upon delivery. First call to the restaurant they say that we did not mention the main when ordering, so it has not been charged. Tally up the total from the menu and compared with the charge on the card and it had been included. Call a 2nd time and they insist it wasn't included and the extra price was because the menu prices had changed. One excuse after another just to pinch an extra £5. DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU ARE FINE WITH BEING SCAMMED.

Over the years, I've tried (I think) all of the Indian takeaways that are local to me and Zaitun is most definitely the best of the bunch. The food is wonderful and consistently good, every time, and is also quite reasonably priced. What's not to like? 🙂

The food was absolutely delicious. Piping hot and arrived earlier than expected. Ordered from uber eats. My only criticism is that i requested that my dishes be madras hot and this note was not picked up so it was not spicy enough for us.

Amazing food and great value . The quality of the chicken tikka , the sag paneer , the quality of the naans ! Just wow thank you . I called to thank you but the delivery driver was so kind too ! Stay safe .

First time used lovely food large portions good quality and value. Had the chicken shaslick lots of chicken and had masala set meal very good

Just received the most amazing feast from here, via uber eats but can’t leave a review. The best Indian meal I have ever eaten. The chicken Somosas were just delicious, keema naan perfection, the curry’s has the right amount of spice and the rice well that was outstanding. This was truly the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had

People are always nice, please to see you, Food is always good I mean good, The best Indian takeaway by far, I have tried them all but this is the best give it a try you won't be disappointed,

Fantastic food at this takeaway we have used these for a number of years and the food is superb. Quick on delivery also.

The food quality was excellent. cooked perfectly and not greasy at all unlike other takeaways. I will definately order from here again.

Staff very polite and friendly always helpful when changing set menu deals. Never had a bad takeaway from here , very reliable.

We have pretty much tried all of the Indian restaurants in Upminster and Hornchurch. Zaitun's has an excellent takeaway service and their vegetarian food is the best that we have had. In particular they are one of the view restaurants that provide quorn options. Highly recommended!

I have used Zairean before and found them very good. The food was always very nice. However, tonight they wouldn't take a card over the phone so I had to collect. No big deal to be honest, security and all that. My wife and I saved up to have this meal, (hard times at the moment) we were so looking forward to it. I ordered and collected to find when I got home, (a 15minute drive) some of the content was missing. I was charged but never got it. So I called them and they said they would deliver in 15-20mins. Like hell did they. To be honest they ruined the evening and I feel ripped off. There are many Indian Restaurants in Upminster and I'm sure they would rather our business. Shame I used to like Zaitu

Just went for dinner expecting that they make delicious Mediterranean food. Menu was not so bad, they met us straight away and offered a table. Served drinks so quick. Instead tap water they gave us a bottle of water - Fair enough. The main course which was Kofte arrived after one hour and 20 minutes after we placed our order - Nobody checked on us .I would understand if they will update us on food or apologise for a wait. Wasted such a long time for a main course. I asked Kofte with mushrooms but they served with rice. I could see that poor old guy was struggling to serve everyone. He hardly had staff to help him out. He was only one meeting clients and taking orders. He had two people Around the bar, not sure why one of them did not help him. I wish them to get better and get more staff at the restaurant and kitchen area. Food should be better ,Beef Kofte instead lamb is a bit dissapointing.was done beef instead lamb .i would never get back there. But I hope that one day they will succeed on the restaurant business.

We received the usual menu leaflet through the door and was going to throw it away with all the others but for some reason we didn't and we are definitely pleased we didn't. From the moment the phone was answered the service received was fantastic. I had an old menu and an offer had only just expired but they kept to it and were extremely helpful. They answered all my questions about the different varieties of curries and had a very good knowledge, instead of the usual 'short non-descriptive' replies. For years in a restaurant I had always wanted to try the 'staff curry' (aka kitchen curry). This is the main curry all the staff eat. Cooked in one big pot and normally meat on the bone. I was told it was chicken that day and if wanted they could take the bones out for me. It lived up to my expectations and did not disappoint. My wife had a wonderful king prawn dish, both were full of flavour and did not have a layer of ghee oil as most places do. Our starters, sides and rice (garlic/onion) were great as well. The food was delivered on time no mistakes. There are no complaints to be made. We wondered if it was so nice because we were first time customers....a few weeks later we ordered again and it was still a high standard. Both times we had a very polite and courteous phone and delivery service. This is now our main Indian takeaway we use for takeaway. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! P.s. The tandoori mix grill and shatkora curry were very nice as well!
