This place is hit and miss, we went two weeks ago on a very busy Staurday evening and service was on point. Today we went with barely any people and the service was quiet poor. No one was attentive, shisha head needed replacement as not smoking. The lounge has improved now since my last review.

We had an unforgettable evening at Zanzibar celebrating the birthday of our sweet colleague, Stefana! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the cocktails were absolutely top-notch – creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. A huge thank you to Nav for going above and beyond to help us arrange a surprise for Stefana. His attention to detail and warm hospitality made the celebration extra special, and we couldn’t have asked for better service. This place is perfect for any special occasion or just a fun night out. Really nice place and amazing food, went here to celebrate a mates belated birthday. Was really fun other than the fact that we ordered two different shishas and both tasted the same and not at all like the flavours we picked out, but otherwise very nice place to eat, drink and celebrate.

The lamb chops were incredibly tough and chewy, making them difficult to enjoy. As for the fish curry and the khari chicken sauce, they were nearly indistinguishable in flavour, lacking any unique or defining characteristics. Overall, a disappointing meal that fell far below expectations.

Late lunch hence quiet. Food was fine and service was quick. I would have personally like for more fenugreek in the methi chicken. Nothing to complain about but not enough to rave about either. Adequate Indian meal which two of us finished off all the same.

Considering the fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes, you really get more than what you pay for. Highly recommended for those who want a quality meal without breaking the bank. Amazing dishes are served at Zanzibar. Perfect spot to celebrate your special occasions. Had my daughter's birthday meals with friends and family groups of 20+. Cannot fault any services. Cocktails are good. Do try their Lychee Martinis. Big thanks to Raniya, Alex, Kalpesh, and Kishan for a very pleasant visit.

Heard about Zanzibar through kids who went for an after school party so thought of giving it a try. So glad I went there. Amazing food and ambience. The staff was very helpful and professional too. Will visit again soon.

I had such a great time at this here! The food was delicious. The lamb seekh kebabs were a real treat, full of flavor, and the chicken lababdar was simply amazing. The service made the experience even better. The waitress who took our order was super friendly and full of energy, making us feel really welcome. The waiter who brought out our food was just as great—attentive and always ready to help. Honestly, the service from both of them deserves five stars. If you’re looking for a place with good food, drink and fantastic service, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

Lovely service and lovely food, we requested to be seated outside as it is hot and we didn't want to do shisha and they managed to get us seated outside. However, the table is too small for 4 people our food and drinks would not fit properly

We ordered chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, chicken wings, kheema, dal, chicken saag, jeera rice, pilau rice, butter naan, garlic naan, papad. Apart from naans, papads and the rice everything else was extremely salty. We ordered for delivery to celebrate my granddaughter's 6th b'day instead of going to Zanzibar. I've never had a issue before. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I've been going to Zanzibar since it 1st opened by the original owners - Ashok and his wife. I can't believe how the quality of the food has dropped. 🙁

Sadly, the standard of this once very good restaurant has fallen.

Organised a group booking of 60 senior citizens of our club for an afternoon lunch. Objective of a social get together and a tasty (mostly vegetarian) lunch with a glass of wine were fully achieved. Cordial staff and prompt service were appreciated by all.

They are so unprofessional, we asked for a table and we been told that without ordering 2 shisha per table we can’t sit down🙂

Just about makes it 3 star food wise, good if you like hukka but that can't be a puller for long. Paneer tikkanwas cold when arrived, got told it got cold on the way from the kitchen, yikes. Other vegetarian and non-veg starters were better but not great. Chicken gravy was watered down, Sent it back to add spice, yes, add more spice please and make it feel indian. Food did come quickly but we know why.

There was an over billing which didn’t catch my eye until I came out of the restaurant and though it’s my fault, I have to say that the lady who serviced us should have checked the bill as it contained an item that was earlier cancelled.Tucked away on the Edgware high street, Zanzibar is a good choice for Indian food but watch your bill closely as they might make a mistake to over bill.

The Chicken Asli is unbelievably good, Dhaal amazing, mushroom rice, and home made chapati and go for the starter Tandoori King Prawns. Ive had the best meals in here for 7 years consistently. Love it ❤️

Great ambience and the staff are friendly. Really enjoyed the food. It has become a bit of a regular meet up place with friends.

We booked the place for 4 people but the 4th one was late..so after an hour the owner came up to us and rudely said that he is gonna charge us double for the hookah as we had lied to him about our booking. He was very rude in his statements and we were really not comfortable sitting there after that incident. I like going to that place but now i have my doubts after that horrible incident with the owner.

The owner is the rudest person one can ever meet. We booked a table for 4 people and the fourth person was running late and he had unknowingly placed a reservation for some other customers. He came to us telling that he would charge us double even though we had not blocked the table and had actually been ordering food and drinks throughout, eventually paying a £90 bill amongst three people He actually made us exit the place because he wanted his "prestigious customers" to sit on that table.

Pinacolada is Superb in this place. Plus they made our Shisha customised with a sweet taste and smooth take.

This place used to have the best food and last night I was disappointed to go there and eat such bland food. No flavour or spice. When I complained, I was told that the same chef has been there for 20 years. To top it off the cocktails tasted like they had no alcohol in, even though they were priced to be strong. I'm extremely disappointed that a good restaurant could become so bad

Haven't been here for years a few of my friends suggested it's worth a visit, and the food is great. So as it was a Sunday, It was not really busy, and we got a table straightaway. Asked the waiter to turn up the heating as we were close to the door and was a bit chilly, was told he couldn't as its preset. Also felt like we had to keep calling him to order drinks and food not the sort of service i would have expected, The food was not as I had expected quite bland based on the price they charge. Would really expect them to improve quite a lot for customers to come back in.

So I did not try the food so I can't state n/a but after visiting this place for the first time I would NOT come back nor would I even think of trying the food. I visited a few months ago - thought I would have a starter and a drink. I did purchase a drink which was a safe option. Why did I not order any food ? The mens bathroom was a disgrace. I have not read many of the reviews for this place but I understand it has new owners. So what - the state of the bathrooms (the stench was unbearable) was unbelievable and unacceptable. A good quality food establishment must have a good quality bathroom. - it tells me how much they care about their quests and also reflects on the condition of the restaurant kitchen. While I did not see the restaurant kitchen, I was not prepared to indulge in any food because of the lack of care in upkeep and it was a huge factor that discouraged me from ordering any food After visiting the mens bathroom - there was no way I was every going to eat here. No WAY ! Stay away. The owners of the place need to think about the impressions they are encouraging from poorly maintained premises.

Food is incredible.. that is undeniable. By far the best Indian restaurant/take away in the area.. to be fare I'd go as far as saying best Indian in ldn. It's a nice place too. Very chilled environment and even have shisha in the back (if that's your thing) Most certainly on the recommendation list. I was fairly unimpressed that they no longer show any football though. It is a bar after all..

Went for a family event on a Friday evening. The food & decor was very nice and the staff were very welcoming. Kids were allowed till 10 pm.. Parking is a bit limited, but found one in the street opposite to it.

Second visit. Table booked for 7pm. Upon being seated we were told there is a 2 hour limit, but if they've got space they'll allow us to stay longer. Came as a bit of a shock because nothing was mentioned upon the time of booking. Drinks and starters were ordered and arrived in a timely manner. Food here is out of this world delicious! Shisha order took a while and so did second round of drinks order. They even neglected to clear our table or take our mains order. When a waiter finally did arrive at our table, he told us that we only have 15-20mins left. We were outraged because, had they taken our order half an hour ago, we would have had time to eat etc. We asked to speak to the manager (Dev), but the waiter kept saying that he's just doing his job by informing us about the time. We told him that his job is to serve us. The waiter returned and said the manager is allowing us to stay for half an hour more. This made us even more angry as we wouldn't have been able to order and eat our mains in that time. We went inside the restaurant to speak to the manager, who completely understood our frustration and allowed us to stay for an extra hour. He also gave us a complimentary dish of Pau Bhaji that was not on the menu. Service slightly improved after that, until we tried ordering dessert. We asked for the menu and the waiter returned half an hour later to ask us if we wanted anything. Also, we were told throughout the night that they were so busy...there were plenty of empty tables! Such a shame that we won't be returning because food is to die for.
