Was really not impressed by this place! Perhaps it was because we ordered early in the day, but the curry was basically coloured water with coconut thrown in, and the lamb in particular was of poor quality. It was all cooked through, however, which is the only reason that I haven't marked the food quality as only 1 star.

great food, very friendly over the phone. ordered for collection as I live on a boat but it turned out the branch had moved so had to liase with a delivery guy on a meeting point instead. over half an hour of waiting in the freezing cold later he finally understands 'Mile End junction' (where their old branch was anyway?). if it had been cheaper I would have been more forgiving, not impressed

Estuve en el restaurante la última noche y tuvimos una comida tan maravillosa. Esta es la tercera vez que he visitado y la comida ha sido coherente y de gran calidad. Este restaurante se ha convertido en nuestra segunda cocina. Toda mi familia les encanta. Además, el restaurante ha sido reformado recientemente y se ve genial. El personal es muy amable y atento. Nuestro nuevo restaurante favorito. Nos vemos pronto!!!

An interesting combination of Thai and Indian food. Try the Indian shapati with the tamarind/lemon sauce of the duck. What an interesting experience! Average service. No deserts in the menu. A little bit overpriced compared to other Thai places with the same quality.

Este restaurante era tan bueno para la cena que volvimos a visitar varias veces. Recepción y asientos fue muy rápido con un personal sonriente y acogedor. Estaban dispuestos a reinstauraran a nuestra elección de la mesa.

Considering this place had a good star rating I was pretty confident and placed an order but only to find out that hygiene level was below standard as I found hair in my food. Never again!!!

I went there with my friend for a simple dinner, and it was pleasure surprise. we had a calamari for starter and the roasted duck, we had to wait for the food kinda long but we understood why, it was amazing, I can say that this was the best calamari what we ever had, and the duck as well, nice potion as so tasty. The music was nice and chilly relaxing and the waiter was incredibly kind with everyone. Definitely we will go back!!

No había opción de carne para la samosa único vegetal. Yo no recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera y me di no disfrutar de esta experiencia!

Este lugar es equivocada, una opción de buffet era proporcionado pero todo en la sección de buffet fue terminado o casi terminado. La comida era de muy mala calidad el pollo crocante fue tener una crisis de identidad no podía decir si fue pollo o queso que es cómo correoso que era. El curry era muy malo. Y el servicio era pésimo no lo suficientemente los camareros tuvimos que esperar en la entrada para 5 minutos antes de ser dirigidos a un asiento. Nadie nos explicó la manera en que el lugar de obras e I. la opción de menú o el buffet opción. Guarde su propia la molestia quedarse en casa o conseguir un curry de tesco y Pop en el microondas.

My meal was lovely but my boyfriend ordered a lamb dish and a beef dish was delivered.

Very expensive so expectations high. Took 1hr 40 mins to turn up. No apologies when chased lateness. Arrived stone cold with curry leaked from box into bag. No visible papaya in papaya salad. Had to cut rice with knife and fork. Very, very disappointing. Will not be back.

Unfortunately, the naan bread was too greasy and a bit soggy. If not for that, I would be very happy, unfortunately I am only partially satisfied. Will not order again (tried 3 times already and the average is not great).

The Paneer Makhani thick curry was very good. It does have a little bit of sugar in it, so next time I will try something else. The garlic naan was not as good as last time, it was tastety but a bit soggy and greasy! Will try this restaurant once more sonner or later, just to double check if they are good or not.

We were surprised to find several vegan options here- we ordered 3 dishes, all really delicious, with distinctive flavours (not like the standard menus) and at a good price. I would recommend the food highly.Staff were polite and attentive, happy to warn us if any of our inital choice dishes contained dairy products.

Was staying in Mile End area between 2005-2013 and wanted visit them several times but never managed to .... This time we (me and my wife) were heading for a Chinese buffet and stopped all of a sudden when my wife mentioned lets try Zeera today. So we went and had their food which was not what we expected at the price they are offering for buffet. Just a bit of information, me and my wife we love to cook and treat people at home so at least not professional but can mention that we have the idea and experience of the ingredients of Asian food as well as a bit of thai and Chinese.....First of all we were disappointed to see their selection (was very poor) and while tasting them realised curries were not fresh at all. Menu was very limited and felt should ask them how they are competing in the market (though it was not my business). They might be quite good in order basis menu. Would suggest if interested the. Check their menu for on order basis meal otherwise buffet will disappoint you. Compare to Jimmy's kitchen Zeera was pricing their buffet without having knowledge what we might get near by at the same price! Im not convinced so do not see any reason why should go there ... (FYI, i did enjoy their ice cream though couple of times before).Food should give the appearance, taste, and feel to come back plus refer other people ... I have not feel any one of them from Zeera ...RegardsMohammad

It hasn't been the first time that we ordered from Zeera as we quite like food in that place (it's close by so we also eat in every now and again). However, it's been yet another time when food arrived cold, which was really disappointing. Otherwise, the food would have most likely been tasty, but the fact that it was cold ruined it completely.

We have a relation that lives near here so every time we visit we pop in here for lunch and have been doing so for many years now. We have noticed a decline in the food and on our latest visit were surprised to find lots of oriental food included in the buffet (since when was egg fried rice Indian?!). Then we noticed when we got the receipt it is now calling itself a Indian and Thai restaurant, now we love fusion food but this isn't that, just a confusing attempt I think to appeal to everyone ending up appealing to no-one. We all went for the buffet but it was disappointing, and the service wasn't good either. We all strolled up to the buffet but were told to sit back down again to wait for plates, then there was no boiled rice left (only egg fried) and on asking for it was rather snappily told that it was coming. The dishes were not labelled properly, the dhall was watery and insipid, and I had to hunt around in the paneer curry to actually get any paneer and the lamb curry consisted of mostly lamb bones. There seemed to be a real reluctance to top empty dishes up and if I wanted prawn crackers and egg fried rice I'd go for a Chinese. Overall disappointing.

I am compelled to let everyone know that this was the most delicious takeaway I have ever eaten, seriously! It tasted home-cooked and fresh, really nice veg. Nothing was limp or dry. And their wine selection is great. I can't recommend it enough!

Absolutely rubbish ordered a spicy dish got it sweet, when asked about the delivery time arrival the manager was very rude. Food was not nice nor was the service. Will never use again and definitely not recommend to anybody.

Found this restaurant by chance when in Mile End recently. There is an a la carte menu but we tried the buffet. It turned out to be very good indeed. There were different chicken curries as well as traditional Indian food such as bhajis, poppadoms, naan bread and there was also a lovely taste of Thai food - the noodles were very tasty. What was nice, too, the different salad components - nice to have some cooling cucumber with one of the curries! There were desserts as well though we did not try them - we were sated with the curries/noodles! The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is very good. Quiet when we were there as we came in just after lunch opening time. Wish there had been some other meat curries but for £8.95 per person you cannot go wrong. We will be back!

It was a horrible. Horrible hospitality, horrible workers, horrible manager. They were rude to us. Last year it was really nice but now it's ridiculously overpriced. Rude service! Couldn't explain to us why we couldn't pay separately and took ages for us to sit together..

Terrible and so expensive! But we thought we'd try it to see if it was better than the other local restaurants. I'll do you a favour and advise you not to bother! £12 for a chicken curry is ridiculous and I don't understand how they can get away with it! The taste was bland and lacked any authenticity. Yuck! I've had better Indian ready meals from supermarkets!

We went on a Saturday night and although I didn't think we would need to book in advance I didn't expect only one other couple to be in the restaurant. The food tasted decent enough but when you see the price of the food you can kind of see why the restaurant was empty. Also the menu in the restaurant is actually more expensive than the one on the website so bear that in mind. I wouldn't go back here.

my fiancé and I went in for the fixed price buffet on a weekday lunchtime, the first thing we noticed when we went in was that there was only two other people on the restaurant dining. We still went ahead and ordered, they told us to go ahead to the buffet and help ourselves. Now the selection from the look of it seemed really nice but once we actually tasted everything, it wasn't at all nice. Everything was cold and if a dish finished, they wouldn't even replace or top it up. We definitely didn't eat our money's worth and we won't be going back there.

Came for the buffet lunch one Sunday, we only had a short time before needing to catch a plane so despite the buffet looking a little unfortunate we decided to try it out. The buffet food wasn't too bad, the chicken curries were tasty, but the addition of french fries etc cheapened the experience. The salad looked unapetising and even slightly suspicious. The food on the menu was surprinsingly expensive. We were almost the only people in there and it felt a little tense. My lassi took a long time to arrive, well into the meal. Not a terrible experience but would never go back there, there are plenty of other good restaurants around.

The most terrible Indian food I had in London. Curries, Rice, salad everything was bad.

We went to the Zeera restaurant several years ago. We were impressed with its atmosphere and service but not with the food. However, recently, we have tried Zeera's food by delivery and, to our relief, the food was excellent. We have ordered from it about 10 times now - whilst it's quite expensive, the food is brilliant - so it's probably good value for money overall.

Lunch there, very overpriced for the area, atmosphere is lacking, staff seemed disinterested, food not hot, and clearly (i guess this is a buffet) some of it had been there a while. Choice limited to 2 similar chicken dishes and 1 lamb, lots of fried cheap starters. Drinks overpriced. There is far better within walking distance.

Good dish, faster delivery than expected and a friendly driver. Oh and of course you have to love the complimentary poppadoms.

I've eaten in Zeera several times over the last year, as it's situated pretty much at the bottom of the road. But I feel now I've had enough of it.The food is - usually - very good. Much better than the typical Indian.But the poor service (bordering on rude) and lack of atmosphere lets it down. This would be ok, but Zeera is not cheap. If you're paying around £60 for a meal for two plus wine, you expect half decent service to go along with it.

This restaurant does a fixed price buffet but we ordered off the menu and were rewarded with a great meal of chicken and spinach, chicken with coriander with bhindi rice and naan. They were rich tasting and much better than the average. The price was not cheap - £58 for two including 2 beers - but it was certainly worth it.

I've eaten here several times over a number of years. It's situated underneath the 'green' bridge at Mile End where other eating places have not survived. The service is attentive and the staff very pleasant and there's no doubt the food is very good. Compared to many 'Indian' restaurants in the east end it's rather pricey (main meat/fish dishes at £9-12+) The portions are generous - vegetable dishes for example are large enough for 2 or 3 people to share as a side order (£6-£8). At times it seems very quiet and perhaps lacks 'atmosphere'. However, it's a nice place to eat.

A little more pricey than other takeaways, but worth every penny. Unbelievable food, great service and one of the best Indian restaurants in London, let alone the East End.
