Ordered from here a few times. The food is always delicious.

Lovely staff and lovely food! We were so shocked to be the only ones in the restaurant on a Sunday evening. The service was impeccable and we shared our dishes. Unbelievably fresh and definitely the best Italian food we have eaten!

A little expensive but food was good

This spot has really good local Italian food, only a few minutes from where I live and I have to say the staff are friendly and very welcoming when you come into the restaurant. The atmosphere was very tranquil too with some smooth and authentic music too. Overall the experience was fantastic. I’ll be back again soon 🙏

Food was lovely and good size portions, the service was really good but the drinks are really over priced. £9.80 for a large bottle of beer is outrageous.

Absolutely delicious! Lovely, friendly cheeky staff and the food.... it's just amazing. Fresh and tasty. We had starters - crossing vegetarian, brushcetta Al pomodoro. Main we both had tagliatelle gamberoni E asparagi.

I had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy. A special shoutout to the manager, who was incredibly kind and attentive. Their warm hospitality made our visit memorable. Highly recommend!

Great food and excellent service. We dined on Fathers day. There were only 2 members of staff who were absolutely fantastic. Management of this place really need to address their staffing levels on key dates. Being an operations manager in hospitality, I was shocked at how you can only schedule 2 employees on a key date like this. The two members of staff were clearly short staffed and overwhelmed, but that didn't stop them from delivering excellent service and hospitality. The food was also absolutely fantastic. Those two members of staff deserve a raise and recognition and I hope the management there does that and perhaps take some courses on how to staff up appropriately for busy days.

Zero Quattro in Purley is a cozy spot that nails authentic Italian vibes with its warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The food hit the mark, with classic Italian flavors that were truly satisfying.

Service was excellent as usual but we took our friends yesterday for a dinner and my friend had the fish and pasta in a parcel which I always love and 4 out of 7 mussels hadn't opened so I mentioned it to the boss and he said don't worry give it to me and I'll open them!!!!! What????? Not the right answer. Come on everyone knows you don't do that surely???

A dine out at this special place after a long break, but was surely worth it. The dish was tweaked slightly for my difficult diner who polished his custom made Gnocchi. The Aubergine bake was cooked to perfection and the portion was just right for me as I had planned a small one. The choc cake went down in a few seconds as a warm and lush treat. Thank you for the great service, glad to have dined here.

I ve given one star to this restaurant as ordered via Deliveroo and half our order wasn’t delivered. They are blaming Deliveroo for the missing food, but we’re so rude and unhelpful at sorting out our missing food. It ruined our whole evening as we had guest from America.

Zero Quattro in Purley is an absolute gem! I recently dined here and was blown away by their prawn tagliatelle—it was out of this world delicious! Having moved to the area from Millbank, London, I was initially skeptical about finding top-notch seafood, but Zero Quattro exceeded all expectations. I’ve visited twice now, and each time the food has been exceptional, with quality and service that rival some of the best restaurants in Central London. As an Aussie with high seafood standards, I can confidently say Zero Quattro delivers on all fronts. It’s a true find!

Smiling Greating & Worm Welcome. Vibe and feel was very homely. Service is fast and good. We ordered pizza, pasta, salad and dessert. All the preparations are Good. Very convenient location. Do visit.

Delicious food, gorgeous decor and super friendly staff! We booked for early evening Saturday, it was quite quiet when we arrived but started to fill up as we were leaving and so the staff were super attentive but not overbearingly so. The food was fantastic, very fresh and generous portions. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be visiting again.

Service was ok. There were a lot of delivery companies in & out which in most restaurants always impacts on those dining in. For starters we had calamari which was awful. They were skinny hard rings which had freezer burn & the tartar sauce didn’t look fresh. The prawns & mozzarella & tomato were ok. For mains the veal was very thinly sliced & very over cooked it was like leather. The liver despite being asked how we wanted it cooked (medium) was over cooked & tough. The sea bass was swimming in a salty butter sauce & for some reason was served with over cooked hash browns. The ravioli was inedible it had so much salt in it. We sent all the food back as we couldn’t eat it. We ordered some pizza & salad to share which were ok. It says fresh food but to get that you need to have the pizza or salad. Wouldn’t go back or recommend anyone going

Fantastic portion sizes for both starter and main courses. The food was lovely and tasted really fresh. The service was fantastic and super friendly feel!

My grandson and I had fillet steak and it was excellent, however the peppercorn sauce was very poor, tasting more of rosemary than pepper. 3 others had pizza, spaghetti bolounaise and ravioli. All were ok but nothing special. I drink a lot of Montepulciano d'abruzzo and theirs left a lot to be desired, very acidy and very expensive for a poor wine. I would have had a beer but totaly refused to pay their extortionate prices, £9.80 for large bottle Peroni. On a positive the staff were excellent and attentive. Finally the acoustics make this a very noisy restaurant.

It was a surreal experience. I seemed to have offended the Italian waiter as I went in. It was a cold, windy day and it seemed like he found my entering the restaurant with my son unacceptable in some way. He shouted at us to shut the door. We entered the restaurant in a normal fashion and wasn’t slow to close the door. My young son couldn’t believe the man’s reaction and we exchanged a look of disbelief. This should have been our queue to leave, but we were meeting another 5 people, who hadn’t arrived, so stayed… It was then a long wait for someone to take a drinks order, I had to stop someone to ask if we could order some drinks, but this can happen sometimes, what I’ve never experienced before is a waiter that decided to up his rudeness! He was completely rude and offensive. He made comments about me wanting a large portion of food, gesturing in front on my friends and family that I was fat! This happened a couple of times. I think I was in shock and embarrassed and hoped he’d move along… He had extremely offensive breath, which was truly off putting. He should not be serving, anywhere. He was extremely rude and offensive in many ways. It is such a shame as the food is always a great standard. I cannot understand why he decided to be so incredibly rude and offensive to me, but equally I’m shocked that I sat there and took his rudeness. It was extremely upsetting. I’ve since seen that I’m It the only one he’s behaved like this to!

If I could I will rate service more then 5* . Very welcome and friendly restaurant. We come here every week past 1.5 year. Antonio already know what we like for starters and which wine we would like to drink. He is very lovely person in my personal opinion he will for this restaurant and restaurant is his life. High recommend for events, birthday party or any other occasion. Very good restaurant even if you’re kind of picky person . Well done ❤️ P.S. : Chicken risotto is delicious 🤤.

Great food lovely atmosphere and fantastic service

This was my go-to restaurant during my time living in Purley. In one sentence: Their food is quality with an amazing taste! Portions are good size also. My favourite was the Fegatini di Pollo al Balsamico; chicken livers deliciously cooked in a balsamic and red wine sauce and the Insalata Caprese to accompany with. I couldn't get enough of it! I definitely recommend this restaurant 100%

Second time visiting Zero Quattro. Friendly staff with a great atmosphere and delicious Italian food. Vegetarian options available. We went for fresh bread and olives as a starter with gnocchi and a goats cheese pizza for mains.

My family and I recently went out for a meal, so we chose this Italian. The experience was absolutely great! The bruschetta, our chosen starter, was absolutely amazing! All fresh ingredients prepared nicely. I had the sea bass for the main course and was really impressed. I am quite picky with my seafood, however this was cooked and seasoned perfectly. What elevated our experience was the manager's friendliness and accommodation. He was very funny which made the experience that much better. The soufflé dessert was definitely my favourite as I have a massive sweet tooth. It was so rich and flavourful - a perfect end to a lovely evening! This has absolutely become my number one Italian, will be visiting again soon.

One of the most beautiful and tastiest Italian restaurants that I've been to so far in Purley. The service is absolutely amazing with the most endearing and thoughtful server listening to our allergy requests and order, whilst also providing an excellent customer service checking up on us regularly and making sure we're happy, The food was outstandingly magnificent with fresh ingredients all around. The food did take a bit of time to arrive but that's how you know the food was prepared in the kitchen once requested, not quickly microwaved or reheated! The wine and food selection is varied and caters for all, with and without allergies. I would highly recommend going here for an Italian meal, but be warned, you'll want to come back for more!

Had a takeaway from Zero quatrro as children really wanted italian but I felt it was too late to go and dine in at the restaurant with them. Everything was delicious and hot! Usually if we buy a takeaway from anywhere (any cuisine), we have to reheat in oven or microwave. Not today! The lasagnes, spaghetti bolognese, chicken and mushroom penne and seafood pasta was all delicious and steaming hot! Perfect!

Great pizza, service, and price!

From the first time we went there we had the best experience ever and food closest you can get to Italy! Having come back from a trip to Italy recently only reconfirmed the quality of their food. My partner and I have become regulars there. Always appreciate the service and humour of the staff. 10/10 would recommend.

I took my girlfriend here and we had an amazing time. It was a romantic evening with scrumptious authentic Italian food and amazing service. I felt very well looked after the server, Antonio looked after our every need and his knowledge of wines was impressive. I look forward to coming back during the Christmas time where I hear the Christmas spirit is strong and the restaurant is filled with warm vibes.

Why has it taken me so long to eat at this establishment, as I've clearly been missing out on great food! I cannot remember the last time when I went out for a meal with my Wife and grown up children, and all of us enjoyed our meals so much. Often at least one of us will not be impressed about something, but not at Zero Quattro. On the contrary each one of us totally enjoyed our starters and main meals (we didn't have room for dessert). In addition to the great food, the service was excellent, so too the atmosphere. I highly recommend Zero Quattro for great Italian inspired food, along with great service. My family and I will definitely be going back for more!

Beautiful little Italian restaurant with amazing food and service. The gentleman waiting on our table was great when I asked about the vegetarian options, and was patient when I asked for modifications. I ordered the ravioli which was unreal - I’d even recommend it to people who aren’t vegetarian.

Had dinner here 2 months back. Food was mediocre. The server had bad breath he was an older man with poor dentition. His breath put me off the food after the second time of him speaking over me. My partner had a dinner with her friends there the other day, that same guy was rude to all of them. Don’t think it was a coincidence that they were basically all women of colour. Will not be going back due to the above. That guy needs a talking to.

I planned a surprise dinner for my sister to celebrate a very big event and I was extremely disappointed with the service we received on November 11th. I wish I had gotten our servers name because he was extremely unprofessional. To describe him he is an older (I believe possibly Italian due to his accent) man. Upon entering the restaurant with my sister, her friends were already waiting inside and said surprise to her as we entered. There were a few other patrons in the restaurant at this point, none of whom looked irritated by the situation, in fact many of them were smiling at our celebrations. We sat down at our assigned table and began excitedly chatting and saying hello to our guests. As it was a surprise dinner my sister was especially excited as she was not expecting to see her friends there. After sitting down for no more than 5 minutes the server in question (who we soon realised was unfortunately going to be our server for the night) loudly told us to be quiet as we were “disrupting the restaurant”… our level of noise was no more than what you would expect for a party of 7 and it felt like we were being intentionally targeted by him. Nevertheless we lowered our conversation down to be respectful and continued on with our night. He returned shortly after and hurriedly requested us to order our food, we obliged and ordered our respective meals. After some time of receiving and finishing our starters one of my guests asked about the approximate timing of our mains to which she was told that “it will be here when it’s ready”. To finish off the night of awful service when it came time to pay the bill, everyone had diligently calculated their individual totals (including shared drinks & service charge) and when he approached our table with the card machine he loudly asked “who is in charge here?” We explained to him three times that nobody is in charge and we all have calculated our individual amounts and will pay individually. After he had collected payment from every single person on the table he said (again very loudly with no respect for our privacy or other customers) that we had not paid our complete bill and owed him money still. Everyone still had their receipts and endured their receipts matched up with the amounts they had calculated. Despite this, he still made the decision to cause a huge scene by bringing a calculator with all his copies of the receipts and sitting down at a table next to us continuously shouting across to us that he was short changed. I was extremely upset and unimpressed by the service we received that night especially in the context of it being a very important celebration dinner fort sister. The only reason why I’m even giving 2 stars is because the food was very delicious however the service was horrendous.

My wife had the chicken risotto (with mushrooms) and I had the Calzone. The food was great. The missus said her risotto was better than some of the more expensive ones she tried at Italian restaurants in central London. My Calzone was flavourful and the portion was huge. Pleasantly satisfied with our food choice. Friendly service. I would gladly recommend Zero Quattro to my friends and relatives.

We’ve been to Zero Quattro several times before and always had a positive experience. But unfortunately not tonight. The positives - great food, freshly cooked, and not too long between order and service, beautifully presented and very tasty. Also a lovely bottle of Italian white Pecorino wine. The negatives - the restaurant was full, packed, overwhelming noisy with several tables shouting at each other to make themselves heard, to the extent we gave up trying to speak to each other. When we paid the bill and were asked how was our evening and we said it was very noisy, we were told “well it is a Friday evening”. Maybe, but we won’t be going back any time soon, and certainly not on a Friday evening.

More than 1 hour for two pizzas in an almost empty quiet day. Soggy dough, rushed pizza. Deliveroo has priority it seems over the seating customers. Never again. Zero indeed.

The best Italian food I've ever had! The service was top notch and the food was outstanding. The highlight for me was the lasagna, superb taste and very filling. Will definitely go again!

Myself and 2 mates decided to find something local for a change and saw this gem not too far from one of our houses and so we decided to pop in on a Saturday evening, no reservation but the lovely gentleman waiter found a table for us in the cozy little restaurant and welcomed us. The atmosphere was lovely and very intimate and we loved it. The young woman who promptly served was very friendly and patient and looked after us well, but wasn’t rushing us either which was nice as it meant we enjoyed the time we spent there. For starters, I ordered the Bruschetta which was absolutely amazing! My friends ordered the Calamari and the King Prawns, and they both loved the sauce that came with the king prawns. For mains we ordered the Penne Al Arrabiata which was delicious, and my 2 mates both got medium rare steaks which they said was very tender and full of flavour. We also ordered dessert, soufflés and a cheesecake which was the perfect way to end our meal. We will definitely be coming back here! Thank you for the delicious food and the amazing service!

Never been here before but we had a wonderful evening. A beautiful little restaurant with lovely lovely staff. The food was great . Great starters menu. Really enjoyed the bruschetta and kids enjoyed the mix garlic bread. Husband had the costina which looked amazing. Mains were great . Very filling- plenty of food. They are happy to pack it up for you to take away if you can’t quite manage it. We are not local to Purley but would love to return.

We went for a Monday evening girls night out/catch up. Food was very good. Enjoyed by all Would recommend the food. But! I did find the manager liked to offend his paying guests ! I found him rude my self. So be warned !

Disappointing. Ordered a prosciutto pizza which was actually just ham and arrived cold. When we questioned the missing prosciutto we were told that they say that because it’s an Italian restaurant? Antipasto was bland and potatoes were a very small portion. Not worth the money unfortunately.

My partner and I dined here on a Friday night. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. The only concern I have was that the staff were heavily overworked. Having only 2 front of house staff on a Friday night, when there must of been close to 40 customers dining all at the same time, did make things quite hard. We had to ask for the bill 3 times before we got it! Other than that, our visit was outstanding and truly is a great little gem in Purley! I’ll give them another go and see if speed of service has increased!

Had a wonderful first date here. Best evening in a while

On a dreary winter's evening this was a tonic for the soul. We didn't book (it was Monday) so we had the choice of tables among our family group. The waiter was very accommodating and didn't rush us. The food was good (the smoked swordfish was a new one on me) and served piping hot. Would gladly return.

Booked a birthday meal for 12 people. Sent in menu choices in advance so thought they would be good to go but not the case. Starting with a positive the food was good. However this did not compensate for the poor service which was non existent. To say it was slow would be an understatement - guests were not asked if they wanted a drink on arrival and it took over an hour for the starters to arrive and this sadly was the pattern for the night and the restaurant was not even busy! When we asked about the delay we were told this was the "italian way!" My wife got up to chat to other guests and was asked to sit down by the waitress - not good! No one would come over to the table to check if we needed drinks and if everything was ok instead we had to constantly get their attention which was not easy as the staff seemed uninterested apart from when seeking feedback about the food. To sum up there was no sense of customer service/enthusiasm which was most disappointing especially as it was a birthday celebration and we gave up on doing the cake at the end for this reason. The staff just seemed not to be bothered. Needless to say will not be returning.

My family and I came in today and I will tell you the service was exceptional and the food was amazing. They use the finest and freshest ingredients a beautiful hidden gem in the area. They take your oder in Uber Eat, then cancel 1 hour later, no phone call, nothing. This happened several times within a few months. When the order goes through and the driver doesn't deliver, they refuse to take responsibility for their poor choice of delivery company. As regular customers, they should have offered to send us our order again, but they didn't. We will never order from Zero Quattro nor will we eat there ever again. They have lost our business.
