Zeytin Mediterranean Restaurant in Warrington

5/5 11TH DECEMBER 2024 Wandering Wednesday this week took Hubster Neil and I on a shopping trip into the Town, we decided beforehand to have lunch at Zeytin, a popular Mediterranean Restaurant, everywhere was pristine and staff where very polite. All the food was delicious and PLENTIFUL!!! It would take me ages to write down each item as both dishes we’re sharing platters…… absolutely full to the brim!!! We couldn’t finish it all….. you’ll definitely no go away hungry from this restaurant!! Would we go back? Yes! But I’ll be ordering off the kiddiwinks menu!! 🤣xxx

Very average food , service slow , sat on a sofa seat for our meal at back of restaurant that stunk of vomit, absolutely not acceptable , entertainment basic, would not recommend this place at all

The problems began upon our arrival; our table for five was not prepared at the reserved time. The staff politely directed us to the bar, which was rather cramped, making it difficult for all five of us to find space alongside other patrons. To add to our frustration, we were rudely shown the exact spot to wait. Additionally, the prices at the bar differed from those on the actual menu, which felt misleading. Eventually, we were seated. While the starters were served in a timely manner, we had to wait an hour and a half for the main courses. I also had to remind the staff that we still hadn’t been served. No tap water was provided, and we had to request it ourselves. When the food finally arrived, it was just a plain grilled chicken fillet—nothing extraordinary, and definitely lacking in flavor. There was no accompanying green salad, which one would typically expect with a main dish. The atmosphere was quite unpleasant; the music was too loud for us to hear each other, and the live music that followed was even more irritating and overwhelmingly loud. Although the singer had talent, the overall sound system clearly needs improvement. No one in our group enjoyed the experience. When it was time to settle our bill, another uncomfortable situation arose. As we divided the payment among ourselves, the staff seemed completely bewildered. They attempted to count the payments multiple times, which became truly frustrating. Additionally, a service charge was included, despite the poor quality of service we received. I do not recommend this restaurant and would never come back again.

Very poor service. We waited for our food for over an hour and had to remind the staff about our order several times. The waitstaff were rude, and the food was not very tasty.

Very poor service and tasteless, average food. The negative impression began the moment we arrived. Despite being on time, our table wasn’t ready, and we were asked to wait at the bar for about 20 minutes. During this time, we were overcharged for the drinks we ordered (we confirmed this later by checking the menu). Once seated, we waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive. The atmosphere was unpleasant, with very loud music and a poor singer that made the experience unbearable—you just wanted her to stop. Most of the staff were rude and showed no interest in providing good service. They never checked if everything was okay, nor did they ask if we needed anything else, such as dessert. When it came to splitting the bill, they didn’t seem to know how to handle it. A middle-aged staff member even came back to recheck all our payments, which was awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place—they simply don’t care about their customers.

30 of us for a xmas night out. We pre ordered food. The service was swift, both for food and drinks. My food was passable. I've eaten here during the day the food then was better presented and tastier. It was very busy this evening and I felt that the food was a casualty of this. The atmosphere was brilliant, and the staff were full of the usual banter. Would I eat here again? Absolutely yes!

Located in central Warrington, close to the Warrington Market, this spacious Turkish restaurant was fully decked out for Christmas, featuring a variety of table arrangements, including tables for four and booths for six. We arrived at 5:30 PM on a Monday, and the restaurant was mostly empty except for one table, so we were seated comfortably at a booth for six, even though our party consisted of three. Drinks The drinks were well-priced, and we enjoyed the Alpha Montes Merlot. Starters • The gamba pil pil was quite spicy. • The calamari was decent but slightly let down by an overly thick batter. Mains • The mixed meat platter was disappointing overall. The chicken was overcooked and dry, and some of the meat pieces were of subpar quality. However, the lamb chop stood out as the best item on the platter. • The fish skewer was okay, with nicely cooked prawns, but the salmon was overcooked. Desserts • The pistachio and chocolate cake was a highlight and very enjoyable. • The churros, on the other hand, were below average. Service The service was adequate, though the large size of the restaurant meant it sometimes took a while to get the staff’s attention. Atmosphere was nice till they played the happy birthday which ruined the ability to talk or eat due to the high volume!

Really enjoyed our lunch here. There were only a few diners but we were well looked after. There is an extensive menu which caters for all tastes and dietary requirements. I will definitely go again.

Wow first time in this restaurant this weekend and the food was simply delicious. Staff extremely helpful, happy and a great atmosphere. So much that we’ve booked for Christmas Day. Highly recommend the Istanbul spicy lamb

Food and service excellent. Went at lunchtime and it was very quiet but I can imagine the ambience would be very good in the evenings. Staff were extremely friendly and food cooked to order. I had the Mediterranean flatbread and my hubby had the lamb kofta - both dishes were delicious. I would visit again.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal here on Saturday night. Food was delicious, management and staff were fantastic, lovely and friendly. Perfect atmosphere to enjoy our meal with friends. I would highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Nice place to eat food was tasty my personal experience was quite expensive for the amount of food you got I got mixed grill and my partner got the chicken dish no veg on the plate just meat and chips. But I would recommend good atmosphere and there was a live singer on quite hard to talk to each other as it was loud in there. Two meals,1 beer 1 wine £60

Exquisite food throughout. We shared a meze for starters and thoroughly enjoyed it. The houmous in particular is outstanding and highly recommended. All four of us were very impressed with our mains as well. All well presented with very reasonable portion sizes, full of flavour. I had the fish kebab, and the kitchen was willing to swap out the vegetables served with it which was very much appreciated. I also enjoyed several cocktails, all of which came with beautiful presentation and excellent flavour. The bartender takes his time preparing them, but believe me it's more than worth the wait. Both the Bramble and Old Fashioned are highly recommended, the Old Fashioned in particular was the best I've ever been served. While eating there was a singer providing live music who had an excellent voice, providing a very welcome atmosphere. Finally, I'm particularly impressed by the service - half our party ran late enough that the restaurant had every right to get a bit irritated with us, but they were pleasant and attentive throughout, which is greatly appreciated. All in all, I can't fault it. The food is excellent, the restaurant has a pleasant relaxed atmosphere to it, the staff were patient and attentive in their service throughout, and for the quality of the food I think it's very reasonably priced as well.

Food was ok, but very small portions. Service not good. I had to send somebody to find out where my sons pizza was after our food was delivered. Was going to order dessert, but after sitting there for so long without seeing any waiters, I decide to go over to the bar to ask for the bill. No parking.

Not the best dining experience I've ever had. Very long time from ordering to food arriving. Donner kebab was almost cold and lacked flavour with no obvious option of an alternative to tomato sauce, which just added to the blandness. I'm sure some will enjoy the place, but it isn't for me.

Been twice now. Can't fault anything about the place.

Was a little quiet, first time coming here open kitchen which I loved seeing in a restaurant, staff very pleasant and polite, ordered steaks which were juicy and posh serving, filling too, pay for what you get, don't be put of by price give it a go, interior was very relaxing and chairs were comfy also

Absolutely loved my experience. The food was delicious, I ordered the chilli garlic prawns with veggies and rice and it was absolutely delicious. All food was fresh and nicely presented. The desert was also very tasty.. The waiter was great, booking us last minute and tending to the table in a friendly and professional manner. Definitely going back soon. Recommend it.

Great restaurant great staff great atmosphere

Went 06/0824,for 5 people booked.Food was good and service was prompt.What baffled me was that you had to chase them in order to get another drink???!!! We all know that the highest profit margins are the drinks in the hospitality industry.They knock off 30% of the mains during the week to get the footfall in.Still not cheap (worked out £30 per head for starter,drinks+mains)but then sleazily tried to add 10% service charge which I opposed to.Man,we were 5 people+that's not a big group in my world.Instead I've given a £10 tip.This's the reason for 4*.

Well I give it 10/10, staff lovely and friendly and even sang to one of our party and brought her some cake as it was a birthday booking. Everyone's food was amazing, the lamb melts in the mouth. The baklava was truely scrumptious. Highly reccomend and I will be back.

It's been awhile since I first tried here but coming back it didn't disappoint. The food is yummy, just wish I lived closer as would be here a lot more.

I've been here a few times, and the food has always been very good. The staff are excellent, always happy and friendly, and ready to sing happy birthday while presenting your cake. Singer on of a weekend is a nice touch, creating a great atmosphere.

Amazing restaurant! Lovely decor inside, incredible food and the staff couldn’t do more for you. Celebrated my brother 18th here and they were so accommodating and our family had the best time. Cannot fault them at all. 100% recommend!

The establishment looks very nice, classy decor and seating is intimate and comfortable. The food presented fairly well but was underwhelming and bland. Had Gambas Pil Pil (prawns in tomato & chilli sauce) and Sucuk (spicy pork sausage) for starter. The prawns were overcooked/tough and the tomato sauce was bland, the sausage was lacking flavour and the chilli sauce served with it was clearly out of a bottle, exactly what you'd get from a cheap kebab van. For main I had the mixed grill, the donna meat was thick, greasy and bland. The chicken was fine but again lacked seasoning. The meatball tasted as greasy and bland as the donna. The lamb Chop however was delicious, well seasoned, tender and cooked to perfection. The chilli sauce seamed to be the same as what the prawn starter was in so was weak and bland. The rice was overcooked plain rice, flavourless grains that barely held their shape. They had a 30% off food promotion on, which I confirmed before ordering, this was not applied to my bill, I asked them to apply the discount and they looked at me like I'd just spit in their face. They also added gratuity altgough their service was inadequate. They did not ask if i enjoyed my meal, they were not attentive when i was trying to get salt (because there wasnt any on any of the tables) and with how i was treated when I requested the discount shown in and outside the restaurant I do not think they deserved "tipping". I personally would not recommend the restaurant to anyone, if you want Turkish you can just order from a food truck and save yourself a small fortune.

Staff were rude and unwelcoming. When asked to repeat something they had said as we didn’t understand them with the strong accent, they acted angrily and were unprofessional.

Staff’s attitude was horrendous, we had ordered medium rare steak and it came completely brown inside yet the waiter was rude when we pointed it out. The most unfriendly restaurant I’ve been to and wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here

Simply lovely food and drinks, a little gem of Warrington

We visited on Friday 18th of July, after having visited before and really enjoyed ourselves- so much! The experience was fantastic. However, I did get really bad good poisoning that sent me to a+e at 2am the following morning! The food was delicious, don't get me wrong, but the Istanbul Lamb gave me violent food poisoning, D+V and stomach cramps, and the inability to eat right for a week afterwards which was really disappointing and upsetting, especially considering our last visit was so good. My partner got the Döner Kebab which was tasty and he was okay. They had a lounge singer on who sort of ruined the vibe a bit too- he was very loud and we ended up struggling to hear each other when we were sat on the other side of the room, singing a very weird range of songs. Service was excellent, but based on the food poisoning fears, we won't be coming back.

Went for Sunday Lunch looking forward after hearing good reviews We were seated with menu, waited for one of the three waitresses to come and take our order, others who came in after us were served, decided we had enough of waiting and left.

Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Went for my birthday, 10 adults and 5 children, the staff coped effortlessly. I would recommend this restaurant for a romantic date night or a fun family meal. Definitely try the balloon bread, and if you have a serious appetite go for the mixed grill 😋. Worth mentioning the 30% discount on food from the main menu through the week!

Having been many times for lunch tried Sunday roast. Disappointed quite bland roast potatoes not at all crispy carrots and Parsnips didn't taste honey roasted. Husband asked for peas and carrots and was told don't do peas although saw other diners with peas. Starters and dessert were fine. Will go again but just wouldn't have the Sunday roast. Atmosphere really good and service was good.

We LOVE Zeytin! Wonderful food, team and environment. Perfect for lunch and dinner. Great for couples, families and large celebrations. Food delicious, great value for money and if you like a cocktail...this is the place to visit. We visit often and are never disappointed.

It's a lovely place and the staff are really nice, the food was good but have to say if your a big eater you'll be disappointed. The waitress recommended the Baklava 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻 The only thing that let the experience down was the £8+ service charge...

Had a lovely family birthday meal. There was 10 in the party, including 3 small children. 5 of us were celebrating birthdays. We had a fabulous time and the staff were very helpful and friendly even singing a beautiful rendition of Happy birthday to us all. Thank you

This was our first visit to both Warrington and Zeytin restaurant and we loved everything about it. Food was lovely, staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you aĺ with a great atmosphere 😀. There was also a lady singing which was a perfect.

This place is S-Tier!!! S-Tier food, S-Tier service, and S-Tier atmosphere! I highly recommend the lamb shish, hummus, coke, and fries! Just thinking about eating the food there makes my mouth water up! Would give it infinite stars if possible!

The reason i gave 2 stars 1 is for Singer and 1 for Staff . Meals were basic . I ordered mussels to start , they were nice but very small . My Husband had King prawns , i have seen bigger cockles . My main meal was chicken in peppercorn sauce. My meal was 2 thin flat chicken pieces with a few french fries and a little pot of sauce. Would have got a better meal in Kentucky fried chicken . But what made it worse was our bill was £200 but they put a service charge of £27 on our bill . The nicest thing there was the singer who was very good and the friendly staff . Wont go back again .

Really delightful place. The Sunday Roast is really good value and helped further by the January discount offer. Meat was a bit dry and the potatoes weren't crispy at all but everything tasted great. The staff are a delight, the decor is beautiful and the bar has a great selection. Next visit: Came back on a Saturday evening and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The sea bass was delicious as was the potato gratin and a big portions of both too. My Mum's salmon was a bit small though but she liked her food My Dad had the mixed grill which had loads of tasty meats. We were all too full for dessert. Again, the staff were brilliant.

I cam today with a friend and the food was amazing me and my friend got the spicy wings and they were beautiful the meat came right off the bone and then I got a meat feast pizza which was cooked to perfection it was so nice and the service was great too, Ola was are server and she was brilliant so helpful and so nice couldn't ask for a better service will be coming back agaij

The staff were very polite and attentive. The sunday dinner we had was ok, but the meat was dry, as if it had been warmed up from frozen and not sliced off a joint. We would give it another try, though.

A delicious Sunday roast, followed by a more traditional tasty Baklava, washed down by a juicy Merlot! Excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. We'll be back!

Been here 2 times already to try few dishes from the menu. We ve tried the fish sharing platter,few dishes with lamb and one with salmon. The lamb has been always well cooked,I cannot say the same for the salmon unfortunately. On average the food is good anyway,the location is good and clean,doesn't actually looks to be In Warrington. We ve ordered once 2 negroni that were served with straws and 2 aperol spritz which is made without Prosecco by the menu,that s unfortunately show a big lack of knowledge for someone who is working in this industry on drink side. Service would definitely be the one to improve in my opinion as we had twice a mediocre service with poor knowledge of the menu and often wrong timing considering the only few tables. I ll probably will come back in future hoping they will improve.

I recommend sampling a bit of your food as soon as it arrives, and if it doesn't meet your expectations, don't hesitate to send it back. During a recent dinner outing with a friend, I had an appetising experience with the Calamari starter. However, my main course, the "Pan-fried king prawns in a garlic and chili sauce," which sounded enticing on the menu, turned out to be disappointingly flavourless. Given my extensive experience and familiarity with various prawn dishes, I could easily detect that the garlic and chili were insufficient or absent. Furthermore, the dish was excessively hot, raising suspicions of microwave reheating. The cauliflower, too, exhibited a rubbery texture suggestive of microwave treatment. After sampling a small portion of the prawns and cauliflower, I concluded that they weren't worth consuming. I called over the waiter to express my dissatisfaction. Regrettably, instead of acknowledging my concerns, he dismissed them, insisting that the food was fine and suggesting I simply add salt and pepper to enhance the flavour. I explained that I had already seasoned the dish and shouldn't have to rely heavily on salt for taste. Disappointingly, he left the meal untouched on the table, disregarding my feedback. Upon requesting the bill, I asked for the prawns to be removed from the total, as I hadn't consumed them. The waiter hesitated, claiming he couldn't make adjustments. I reiterated that I couldn't justify paying for a meal I found inedible, but he remained adamant, attributing the issue to my taste preferences rather than acknowledging the food's lack of flavour. This dismissive response was concerning, as many restaurants typically value and consider customer feedback. Thankfully, the owner was present in the restaurant and promptly approached our table upon hearing the waiter arguing with me. He acknowledged the issue and offered a discount on the prawns. However, upon settling the bill, the staff continued to insist that there was nothing wrong with the food. This demonstrates a disregard for the customer's opinion and experience. It appears they fail to grasp that what truly matters is not whether they personally enjoy the food, but rather whether the customer does. As we left the restaurant, my friend, who had opted for the Gambas as a starter, confided in me that he found the dish rather bland. Despite this, he chose not to voice his dissatisfaction. He speculated that perhaps the restaurant is attempting to cater to local tastes by toning down the usual levels of chili and garlic found in authentic Spanish cuisine. In general, the restaurant is passable, albeit it has a somewhat "commercial" vibe. If you prefer dining in a serene atmosphere with soft background music where you feel truly attended to and at ease, then this establishment might not be the ideal choice for you.

Me and my friend was there Sunday night, having moussaka, the food is just amazing, can't wait to go back there soon.

First time visit, wet Bank Holiday Monday. Unfortunately the restaurant was very quiet. The service and food made up for it. The baloon bread starter with garlic butter and cheese was very authentic. Chicken and lamb casseroles for mains were totally delicious. Nice to be able to get Efes beer. Reasonable prices. We will return.

Myself and a few friends had a catch up over food. There was a singer on who was absolutely fabulous and really created a lovely atmosphere with her beautiful singing.

Had the lunch menu and drinks. Was delicious amd came to just over £50. Service was attentive. We are definitely coming back.

Good atmosphere with singer for entertainment. Food was overall good although some dishes were served without sauces which were stated on menu and waiter argued sauce wasnt included when it clearly said on menu that it was but service was terrible - waited almost 2 hours for main courses. Had to ask 4 times for jug of water. Kitchen appeared short staffed. Waiter just laughed when we complained about the wait. Disappointing and would not return.
