Food is nice 💯 but the place overall looks a bit old

We always choose Ziryabs for our parties and family get togethers because the atmosphere is always calm and relaxing. The food is fresh and delicious and there's something for everyone. The staff are very helpful and always welcome you with a smile. Thanks Ziryabs 😊

Food was not very warm, chops were not fresh .. Chinese food was nice.

Your better off going to shahi masala buffet his place is horrendous poor hygiene toilet doors open onto the restaurant floor you can smell the poo thats how close the toilets are. The place is all carpet very dirty no professional staff they dont seem to care food took long to be filled on the tray one man serving desserts so waiting time is long. The food was absolutely horrendous cold and stale defo not worth the money also ended up with food poisoning

We have been visited this place so many times but this time my wife wasn’t eat anything because of food was not eatable not flavour no testy at all looks like not fresh cooked some of the items was empty only sauce left so it’s the last time for us won’t be visiting again also sitting area too close to the other table it was very disappointed family night out not worthy

I went this evening I'm very disappointed with the food it's over price and the food was not good even my kids they are under 10 they even said dad it's waste of money in star city zauq is way batter then this place and reasonable prices so no go zone for my family next time.

World worst restaurant by far. They deliberately put a stone slap in one of the parking bays at there car.park which caused damage to my car. They did not care. Which shows how much they value customers paying £275 like me. Food sub standard too and cold buffet. Avoid if you want your car damaged and a complete bad experience!

The food at Ziryub Executive Buffet was okay, suitable for a one-time visit. The restaurant wasn’t busy or crowded, which made the dining experience peaceful. Parking was conveniently available, which is a plus. However, one aspect I found disappointing was the placement of vegetable samosas and meat samosas right next to each other, with only one serving spoon for both. This can be a concern for vegetarians and needs to be addressed. Overall, it’s an average experience with room for improvement in food handling.

Went Saturday at peak time, hence the busyness. Parking was a nightmare that started it off. Then we had to wait 30 minutes to get a seating. The seating area took me back to my school canteen days. Had to push so many chairs and people to go pass and being worried that i dont tip food over others. People queuing for food as they are slow cooking and providing. The things that I enjoyed was Chapli kebab and fish pakora from the starter but the mains were disappointing. The option of desert was great. The temperature of the main eating area was hot and my kids started to get very distressed. I am someone who believes in see it to believe it and was told that this place is nowhere near the other buffet eatery in Birmingham and they were right unfortunately.

i am currently eating here, received a warm welcome from the lady near the reception area who requested a female staff member show me around, she kindly checked in with me as it's my first visit and my not being pakistani i had been apprehensive as to whether or not i would be welcome; however she ensured i felt welcome and at ease; hugely appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻; plate size i found is on the small size and unsure if food is okay to be refilled or whether that's just drinks such as vimto and soda drinks, self service throughout; so far i have had two juice refills and intend to try some ice cream, tried choc mousse and it's good, now tempted to try the blue ice cream - light and airy assumed it would be bubblegum flavour but i can't quite get a distinct taste with which to describe it - just right after a meal - light airy ice cream is welcome

The food was good with a large variety to choose from. The price was more than reasonable considering you get bottomless drinks as well. The seating and atmosphere were nice although it was a little lively. Definitely recommended.

Food was good. Some items like sheekh kebabs and chapli kebabs were always on the low side. Masala fish was amazing as well as the lamb karahi. There were a lot of options to choose from but not all looked appealing. All in all can't go wrong with the price with drinks included.

Great service from the at Ziryab. We were a party of 37 mix of kids and adults. Samreen was able to accommodate for us and help us be seated (we didn’t all arrive at once). Thanks for the great service and evening!

The quality of the food was really good, authentic south Asian flavours. Would have preferred more options, but happy with what I had. Buffet can complain about service. However, plates took a while to be taken away. Atmosphere was a homely, great place to bring kids. However, if you don't have kids, be prepared for them running all over the place.

I recently had experience to visit this place TBH the temperature was boiling inside the taste was awful 😞 in desserts section The kheer especially was disgusting whole grill section was below avg First ever experience wouldn’t recommend to anyone Lamb paya Was full of hair 🤮

Went for a visit last night with family absolutely fantastic experience food delicious wit a wide variety. Staff friendly brilliant family atmosphere will definitely visit again worth the drive from Coventry cannot recommend enough.

Amazing experience, could rate it 4.2 because of the items, atmosphere and service. Ambience was not that great because of the cozy feel inside, feels like a dhaba hotel.

We are happy to eat with friends. Today was my son (Aqiqa). So I invited my all friends to celebrate my party. My friends are very happy.

Atmosphere was warm and cosy and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also have a prayer room, which was useful. Although the Chinese options were nice the rest of the food was disappointing: the starters were too oily, and the Asian dishes were mediocre at best.

Went on a Friday evening and surprisingly it wasn't busy. Standards have dropped a lot since I went last time. Starters were mediocre and mains were very average. I've ended up with a stomach bug not sure what it was but definitely from Ziryab . Will I be returning? No chance!!! . If you want nasty food, come over to Ziryab and you'll get free food poisoning as well

We came for Birmingham balaji temple and we visited this place for buffet and the staff were also friendly and the food was good and unlimited

Drove 90 miles. Worse atmosphere Staff moaning Infront of customers. Staff eating while serving customers, Drinks selections and the desert selection was not worth the price we paid. The drinks and ice cream from my local shop tasted better. Horrible smell Their was an awful stench in the place I Complained to the manager who was busy eating at first, Then after 30 mins was approached again, he was understanding but will never go back again. If you don’t want to disappointed then avoid it

Allahhamduliah i loved this place This is my first time in Ziryab Buffet I loved this food and so yummy Our Muslim Brother and Sister can eat here Everything is halal If you want to pray then you can because they have a separate room for praying The Atmosphere is so good MasaAllah

Disappointed. The focus is more on variety rather taste. Definitely not recommended. It used to be good and I personally been there few times before but now quality is gone done dramatically. On the top they don't accept cards anymore and deals only in cash(which I presume is not legal as well)

AVOID THIS PLACE, it has gone so downhill since it opened many years ago. The food was awful, was so bland and not many dessert options at all. Cutlery and plates were dirty. Tables are so close together. Has had the same carpet since it opened which was in 2016. Place has a weird odour. Waste of money

Went on monday at around 6pm,food was so nasty,peri peri chicken was reheated from the day before it was awful,the lamb karahi was so dry meat was so grey from inside definately wasnt cooked fresh,the time before we went was same issue i dont know why i even went back…will never return there again,waste of money…my family didnt enjoy it either,its so downhill now…dont waste your money on food thats so nasty

Too much hype and disappointing quality of food. I try to sample a lot of different things in small amounts at a buffet and here's my thoughts: Rice dishes were very dry and tasteless. Spaghetti, pasta etc absolutely bland. Curries had so much oil that the US would invade them anytime soon. Positives: Chapli kebab was out of this world, the standout for me. Lamb chops decent, not too bad. Chicken tikka was nice too. If you focus only on the grill, it's good but overall not worth the money

I visited Ziryab last week and had a great experience overall. The variety of dishes was impressive, and I particularly loved the Chapli Kebab, fish, and lamb chops—they were all flavorful and cooked just right. However, the Biryani was a bit of a letdown, as it was served a little cold and didn't quite match the taste of the other items. Despite that, everything else was excellent, and I would definitely consider going back!

Seated at a dirty table which we had to ask twice to be cleaned , tables are so close to each other hard to walk anywhere , all the popular food in one corner so had to wait ages to get anything, if I had paid cash I would of got refund and left

Good place for people to try different foods, good variety of Asian and Chinese dishes

First off, the food was incredibly bland and lifeless, like it had been sitting around for days. There was no freshness to any of the dishes, and everything just tasted off. The cramped environment didn’t help either. The tables were packed so tightly together that people kept brushing past, making it hard to enjoy the meal. It felt more like being in a crowded hallway than a restaurant. On top of that, the hygiene was seriously lacking. The cutlery had stains on it, clearly not washed properly, which was really off-putting. The bathroom was in bad shape too—unclean and obviously not looked after. Parking was a nightmare as well. There were barely any spots available, which made getting there even more frustrating.

Food is average. Seating area looks like a marriage hall. Buffet charges 22 pounds per person. Shadi hall vibes

Possibke one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! Quality of food and flavours are always top notch. Really had great time.

Avoid at all cost. Soo many other buffet places in and around Birmingham that offer you more value for your money. My own particular experience was very bad and disappointing that I wont be going again. Was asked to pay our bill upfront 'cash only' without the option of paying by card. Decor was really poor and food was very disappointing. When you charge us £66 for a family of four at least give us half decent cutlery. I mean paper cups for the drinks is just a joke and the drinks variety was all cheap version of the original. Fine they went cheap on the drinks, food, sauces, salad and dessert but at least reflect it on the price. I mean Royal Shalimar is more cheaper than them and their food, service and decor was absolutely amazing.

Went as Family of 14 to celebrate exam results, food was excellent quality with huge choice of food for £22 for adults and £11.00 for children it is good value for money. Would highly recommend

Great place to experience, nice ample parking, staff is very helpful....sadly like other buffet places 10yr old are considered adults and have to pay full price!

This was my third visit in the last few years and this will be my last. A group of 19 visited for a birthday. Service was fine but the food was average. he restaurant needs a refurbishment as is looking very tired. The food variety was good but main courses are mass produced and lack taste and flavour. There are better options available in the market so spend your cash somewhere else.

Amazing food was amazing I really like it my second time to come from 50miles Im sure much afghani like zaryab we request add green tea in menu please our afghanis like to have green tea after meal . And im planning to come 3th time

Just fake reviews on Google. There was a strong smell in the dinning hall. Kitchen doors open. Plates were not clean. Food all tasted the same. I would say that their fish was nice. If compared to other halal buffets in England very poor. No service. Don’t know who the staff are as all dressed casually. Women at reception, seem like she forced to be there. Some chap with a track suit showed us to the table. I was very disappointed. I would like to thank the parking attendant who was very nice and help us park. False advertising! Standard overall more quality food MORE "HEALTHIER FOOD " VERY IMPORTANTLY DESSERTS VERY POOR VALUE AND VARIETY

Unfortunately, we feel a bit catfished by this place. It came up on a few TikTok videos, and we just briefly glanced at the website and decided to go. The large title of ‘fine dining’ stood out and we went for our anniversary dinner. It definitely is not worth it. Food is average to below average. Most things were cold - and almost all of it tasted the same. Positives: drinks are included in the price (local brands - this is a positive for us as we avoid coke due to ties with a certain country). The fish (Masala Cod) - amazing! We basically filled ourselves up on this. Could not fault it. Huge chucks of fish, steaming hot. Parking is available on site and free. There is an attendant who helps you. My husband is a huge meat eater - but he didn’t finish his chops, left the haleem and we couldn’t even attempt a second bite of the namuk gohst. The atmosphere gave me a bit of a two start hotel With all inclusive option. I do not know how to describe it.
