Lovely food great service nothing too much trouble.

Booked a table for 5:30pm and arrived on time. Left waiting at the door for well over 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Table wasn't ready so we had to wait again. When finally seated we tried to order using their app - it wouldn't let us order. We asked a passing server about the app who told us that we hadn't been booked in so we placed our order with the server - just mains and sides. Afrer 20 mins, two of us got food, a further 10 minutes later the rest of us got our food. We had to stop a passing server to ask why our sides hadn't arrived. The server promptly brought them but two of us had aleady finished their mains. In all, the service was abysmal. The food was OK but some of it wasn't as hot as it should be, especially the sides.

Had a great meal at Zizzi Nottingham! The Pepperoni Campagna Pizza was delicious, the Peroni Lager was perfectly chilled, and the atmosphere was spot on. Great prices too—will definitely be back!

The restaurant exceeded my expectations. It was really tasty, fast service (I'm told it's usually very slow), kind and all in a pleasant and happy atmosphere (it wasn't really quiet, let's say...)... I'll be back again!

The food at Zizzi was excellent and the service was very good. The only thing we noticed negatively was the noise on site, as the tables were lined up pretty close together. The Garlic Bomb is particularly recommended as an appetizer.

We got forced into paying ‘service charge’ even tho it said on the receipt that it was an optional tip. This was £15 and I believe it was due to us being young they exploited the group. The pizza was extremely undercooked with a soggy bottom. The waiter was extremely impatient and rude . Definitely will Not be returning. Over priced don’t recommend

We had the best experience visiting Zizzi this weekend. They saved the day for us!! 5 adults & 6 children - we were struggling to get into anywhere to eat. We asked at Zizzi and they couldn't do enough to help us. They were obviously busy but fitted us into a booth and added a table. They even apologized that the table wasn't what they normally have - we didn't mind at all. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and Renata our waitress was fantastic - really patient and kind with the children and all of us. We'll definitely be booking here next time. Can't recommend this place enough ❤️

I used to go there quite often. I wasnt there for 3 years ? What a surprise! We had to wait 15mins to be seen by waitress ( only 3 tables with people). When we ordered drinks - water and coffee - next 15mins! Horrendous. I ordered with my partner 2 different calzones and they were awful. Nothing like they used to make them. Much smaller, no sauce inside, no prosciutto on the top, much less sauce on the side and sauce itself - like the cheapest from supermarket. Nothing like before. When the girl ( next table) finished and asked for the bill (3 times) - finally she got it. And we got it as well even we just finished and didn't ask for it! No opportunity to look into deserts or just to enjoy our time. The restaurant looks without character.

Our work Christmas meal on the 13th. I really don't know how the staff did it. Lots of other work parties in there, the staff were calm and lovely. I have to give a massive 10 stars to the staff and the food. It was so busy in there but absolutely first class food and service.There was a delay with my starter all of my colleagues had theirs a long time before I did; but that was dealt with and when it did get to me it was delicious. It was extremely busy, and everything was served hot and tasty. Wonderful evening.

Went out for a lovely meal with my friend to celebrate her engagement and wanted it to be a really special evening for her and her partner We booked a table well on advance for 7pm and weren't advised this would be for an hour and a half slot otherwise we would have asked to extent the booking. When we arrived we were told we would need to give the table back by 8. Wanting to be flexible and understanding of the fact they'd booked a table from 8 after our booking, and we're really busy with the Christmas season we accepted this and ordered as normal I want to be really clear- the waitresses- were absolutely lovely and did the best they could in a tough situation, however the manager on shift really let our experience down and we won't be returning. The food was ok, and we were served closer to 8 than we would have liked. Due to this by the time we ordered desserts and a second drink it had passed 8pm. While we understand the time constraint we do feel it was unfair to be rushed when the serving delay was not our error, and we'd been given an opportunity to order desserts despite the time being passed, we assumed that due to this there was no longer a rush on the table being needed. After placing our order the manager passed our table three times making very clear and rude gestures around his team to encourage us to rush through and leave. This was noticed and 3 clear occasions and made some of the guests feel uncomfortable and unable to joy their food at their pace. Before the desserts arrived we were rushed to settle the bill and asked to leave as soon as we had finished our desserts and drinks. The waitress was very apologetic and it was clear she had been pressured into doing this by one very poorly mannered manager and I really feel for her because she was incredibly lovely and clearly doing her absolute best in the role. Overall I was really unimpressed considering we spent nearly £300 with a tip, which is a considerable amount of money for a booking we had in place since September. We won't be coming back and I want to be clear the tip was only given because the waitresses do not deserve to miss out on this due to the poor behaviour of one person, but we won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend this to others due to the poor service we experienced. We had a lovely night in spite of this, and will rearrange a meal elsewhere for another time so we can enjoy each others company in a more welcoming place 3 stars as one felt unfair when the waitresses and chef were clearly doing their best and I want to recognise and be fair about that

Left hungry and very disappointed. We booked a table for 16 to celebrate a birthday party at 5:30pm which all food was pre ordered for weeks in advance. Didn’t start great when they gave us a table for 14 and when I asked for an additional table for our guests, they said sorry you’re going to have to put chairs on the ends! 3 grown people sharing a 2 person table making it quite cramped to eat. So they didn’t even accommodate our booking properly. Our starter's took over 40 minutes to arrive and one of our guests was never brought out so they ate on their own once we had all finished our starter. Mains came out with such a staggered delay some of the table had nearly finished before others had theirs. The potato’s were raw and completely inedible and my husband’s and mums chicken was pink, raw and bloody! Both meals taken back to the kitchen and not replaced. My pizza was undercooked. They offered replacement chips for the uncooked potatoes, which then never arrived. Our pudding orders didn’t get any better with us having to ask for missing desserts and again half the table eating while the other still waiting for desserts, They refunded 2 x of the set menus which hardly covered the meals we sent back and the others that were inedible and left. Honestly a Nightmare from when we arrived! Will not return or recommending, birthday meal ruined and a lot of money wasted!

First visit to this restaurant. Very busy so assumed it must be good. Heard good reviews so gave it a try. Overall, quite disappointed. I had pork and garlic meatballs which although were tasty, came cold. The main course of chicken milanese was very underwhelming and the chicken was very tough to cut. Very small portion or fries and greens with it. The girl serving drinks came and tried to remove our glasses before we had finished drinking and at @£10 per cocktail was not acceptable. I don't feel we had value for money and took our desert home with us as we wanted leave due to not enjoying our experience after spending £80 between 2 of us.

Good service and food, will be reluctant to revist as you don't accept cash payments.

My first time eating at a Zizzi and I would give it another go, but not at this location. Pros: The food we got was very delicious and the menu was really interesting, with enough dishes of different kinds to make me want to return and try more. Drinks selection was great. Two of the servers we had were friendly and helpful when we could get their attention. Cons: We got told we were (and I quote) "boring" for not ordering alcohol by one server which was shocking. They asked us if we'd be ordering wine and when we said no, they said, "oh well guess you're boring then". Waiting to be served took much longer than expected and we had to actively seek out the servers to order and get the bill because they were either busy somewhere else or understaffed. They didn't have the main ingredient of their specials pizza which we weren't told when being given the menus which included the specials menu. Would have been good to know that in advance. Overall it kind of feels like the servers could do with a bit of training in not insulting sober customers (even by accident - it's just common courtesy not to comment on people's non-alcohol choices) and being attentive, or at least managing customer expectations when the restaurant looks quiet, if it is actually very busy. The food was cracking though so hopefully this was a one off experience.

El personal amable y agradable y la comida era excelente , no hay quejas mías o de mi pareja aunque pensé que sí hicieron un trato de cumpleaños ?? Pero recomendaría y visitar de nuevo.

Such a shame that on paying a substantial amount for a main course, you are expected to pay a ridiculous amount extra for a bit of salad or fries to go with your main course. The same with many other venues, but a sad reflection of restaurant's In recent times. 😔

He sido un gran fan de la lasaña de Zizzi durante años, pero hoy fue la primera vez que mi esposo pidió lasaña también - y por supuesto a los dos nos encantó nuestra comida. Nia tomó nuestro pedido y fue una delicia. Ella fue rápido para asegurarse de que pedimos nuestras bebidas y tomar nuestro pedido de comida y todo hecho con una sonrisa encantadora. Cuando llegó nuestra comida estaba caliente y tan sabroso. El resto de la pasta derretida en la boca a la salsa de carne y bechamel era tan bueno que se remató con un chorrito de crujiente. También tuvimos la ensalada de lado verde servido con un sabroso aderezo y maravillosas virutas de queso. ¡Volveremos!

Visitado con mi marido el sábado 31 de agosto por la calle, nuestra comida era excelente y muy buenas porciones. Recibimos un excelente servicio de Serena y Nicholas. Hemos visitado esta sucursal muchas veces, pero sentimos que el servicio había aumentado en esta visita que fue bueno ver. Nada que culpar, pero una pequeña observación es que parecen estar sentados todos en la pequeña zona de arriba en lugar de la parte de abajo más grande, han estado haciendo esto por un tiempo y no estoy seguro de si es porque el negocio ha terminado y no pueden llenar la zona más grande, por lo que como resultado puede llegar a estar bastante lleno en la planta alta - yo sugeriría reservar con antelación.

We were seated in the top area due to my immobility. Was served quite promptly despite it being very busy. Food was hot and very tasty. Was a little bit loud for my personal preference as loads of large parties of kids. But it was nice to see kids out.... so I can't complain about that. Nice vegan options for me, but was too stuffed to manage pudding. Maybe next time!!!

My friend and I always choose Zizzi for out quarterly meet ups , a lot of the time in different cities. In Nottingham, today we were being served by a very nice person (think their name was Nicholas) Made the experience very pleasant 😊 Great conversation and vibes

My friend had treated me to a show at the theatre royal. We booked a table for 6 pm so we had time to relax & eat before the performance. I arrived early & the nice young lady at the entrance was seating other customers so I sat on a chair to wait for my friend. Having completed 30 years of catering in many roles , I was staggered at the amount of business you lost on the door as the young lady was clearly stretched , serving drinks , meals & in & out of the kitchen. Where all your staff were I don’t know! Golden rule is the first impression, customers standing at the door , & either the manager or assistant glued to the role of meet & greet. I observed for more than half an hour & it was appalling , a party of 8 arrived , they agreed to go downstairs to an empty restaurant & wait for 45 minutes. Why don’t you get it properly staffed? We did get our table in time , we both ordered the new salmon & avocado salad. No way was it worth £15 , a few lettuce leaves , 4 tiny pieces of tomato , some slices of avocado & a small piece of salmon on top. Very overpriced, but we enjoyed what we had. You really need to up your game & recruit some more staff that give excellent customer service. We won’t be back I’m afraid.

We arrived at the restaurant and was asked to wait. Waiting for nearly 25 minutes we can see the girl at the reception handing over menus to every single customer arriving after us and seating them, but doesn't even made any eye contact or show any interest in us at all. I got up to ask her what about us as we were waiting - she goes I will seat you shortly and walks away. She comes back and had the rudest tone ever and hands over a menu. She continued to do the same - seat people who arrive after us, but leaves us hanging. When I get up ask her if everything was fine - she attacks me and calls me rude instead and walks away. The worst service I have ever experienced. This girl needs to be taught some manners and some customer service ethics really. I came to zizzi Nottingham as I liked the one in Leicester.. But thanks to this bad attitude, never coming back here and will never recommend this place to anyone else.

The team here were absolutely excellent in helping a large group birthday meal (30 people) run smoothly and efficiently. I cannot thank them enough for ensuring dietary requirements were met, food came out to tables quickly, and waiting staff were attentive throughout the evening. Food was, of course, delicious!
