Had a takeaway New Year’s Eve the two states were lovely, but the two mains were awful mine no taste and chicken a bit rubbery, my wife’s was so hot no taste. Delivery driver very friendly ,

Deliveroo gave us the wrong order and zyka sent us a new one within half an hour even though they were super busy. Amazing service!

My partner and I visited Zyka to try their Christmas Day menu. I believe this was only supposed to be for Christmas Day specifically, but they kindly accommodated our booking for Boxing Day. The menu was £45 per person for appetisers, starters, mains and dessert. It was more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food we had. Every course was absolutely incredible! Some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. We were so full when we left. I would most definitely recommend this as an alternative to the ‘traditional’ Christmas dinner. The staff were also attentive and very friendly. I would definitely return to try their regular menu at a later date as we were super impressed. Zyka is really cosy, nicely decorated and suitable for a date night.

Parking kinda sucks in the area. Makes it a bit inconvenient. The food is good though!

Great food! good value for money and lush interior

Extremely disappointed by desi food cause it was wayyyy tooo sweet! If you’re looking for even a tiny bit of spice, it’s almost impossible to get it. Even after mentioning that we want it spicy, every dish including starter and main course was veryyy sweet. Not recommended for indian or pakistani people at all.

Had super high expectations of this restaurant after reading all the amazing reviews. Unfortunately the food was not good. Chicken tikka masala was full of sugar and was the only flavour to it. Partner asked for lamb dish to be made spicy and it was not, and also extremely bland. Was charged extra for requesting the dish to be spicy and £5.50 for the water on the table. Have eaten at lots of good authentic Indian restaurants and this was neither. Would not recommend for anyone wanting authentic Indian food.

This is one of the best restaurants I have dined it. It is a special place now and I’ve done several visits with and without family after finding this gem. I have been to many Asian restaurants but the hospitality and food is definitely different here. With years of experienced waiters and chefs they really have got it right. Ambience, food, presentation, hospitality, respect all under 1 roof. If you haven’t been, you are missing out!!!! I have been served by Mo who is amazing but all the staff are equally as great.

Good atmosphere, the food came out quickly and the staff were very friendly.

Was recommended to come here by a friend. Didnt disappoint, the loaded tikka fries are something else. Decor is classy and very relaxed in the restaurant

As soon as we walked through the door, we felt very welcomed by everyone here. Service was impeccable and the food was top notch. The variety of food on the menu was brilliant and really got the taste buds going. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a decent curry with great hospitality!

Easily the best Indian Fusion style restaurant in Reading. Food is exceptional and the service from all the staff is incredible. Very reasonably priced as well for the high quality food. Highly recommend coming here

This is our favourite Indian restaurant we've ever been to mainly because of the impeccable service each time we come but also because the food is top quality, fresh, incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is stunning and we always receive a warm welcome. The mocktails are also lovely! We always look forward to coming back :)

Zyka is our go to curry night whether that be a dine in experience or a takeaway we have known Zak and Abdul for years and we always have a great meal here.

Came here for the first time yesterday for my birthday dinner and found that we were rushed to eat our food before the next booking arrived. The staff were not as friendly. The atmosphere was as nice but very dark so couldn’t really see what we were eating. We asked for an additional table lamp which we got but had the comment from the staff to say that they would need to take it back if another booking comes in. Starters were nice but the mains were OK. I probably would come back here after this experience. This place definitely caters for those customers that drink, which is slightly discriminatory.

We had an absolutely delicious meal for my husband's birthday. Everything was beautifully presented and every dish was delicious and of exceptional quality. Our two young children loved the drama of the dry ice! We enjoyed excellent service at a comfortable table. Don't forget to take your beers or wine! We will definitely return :)

Unreal food and staff. BYOB which saves a lot of money on booze. Go to lovely shop next door for cold wine and beers. VERY good price for food quality

Woah what a night. Food was amazing as expected but the service was really an echelon above. The waiter named Mo was magnificent, he's a real gem. I would highly recommend this restaurant to absolutely anybody!

Mo, was truly amazing he had everything perfect. We celebrated a 60th birthday and engagement. I can’t fault anything at all such a beautiful and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back again with family friends!

Delicious food and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The only reason I am not giving this review 5 stars is because towards the latter part of our visit, I suspect, they needed our table cleared for another booking. They cleared our plates after we finished our meal, but didn't offer us the dessert menu or check if we wanted anything else. We sat for a while patiently waiting, as we appreciated that the restaurant was busy, but ultimately ended up asking for the bill due to no service. Even though we had only been in the restaurant for just over an hour, I would have rathered they were honest and communicated that they needed the table back, if this was the case. Aside from that, the service was good and we would nonetheless return.

Good food, but took a while. The worst thing is that it’s hard to see the food or even the person you’re talking to, dark snd dingy with barely any lights on. I understand less light could be somewhat relaxing and for some romantic, but this one gone too far

I went from Birmingham with my friend and my son. It is a very welcoming and friendly restaurant. We had ordered Paani Puri shots, butter chicken, lamb Karahi, garlic naan. For dessert we ordered gulaab Jamun, ice cream and chocolate cake. I have to say the taste was 💯. My son said ‘it was the best food ever!’ Thank you so much for your hospitality. I will definitely visit again.

Clean and classy very nice food

5/5 is well deserved for this restaurant, we booked last minute on the evening, and they closed at 10, but everything was still amazing. Not rushed or anything, food was not only tasty, but piping hot, good quality. Child friendly as well, the atmosphere was nice, it was a cosy but nice vibes restaurant. Staff were so polite and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend and will visit again.

Lovely award winning local restaurant. Food was nice and tasty. Nice atmosphere. When my husband broke a glass there was no problem- cleared quickly. You can bring your own drink so makes this do much cheaper. Thoroughly recommend.

Your customer service over the phone is rude, how can you tell a paying customer that you have time limit. By the way the cab driver we caught to come to your place then mentioned that he use to work there and he witnessed that they would literally take food of plates and re-serve to customers. So please report to Google as I am free to share my experience.

I could not recommend this restaurant more. The street food menu is incredible, especially the calamari. The service is exceptional too, everything was so quick and the staff are lovely. It’s great value for money and I can’t wait to go back.

Went up last Sunday night (june 30th) with 6 others. Excellent service, very helpful despite a few of us turning up late (blame football 😂), recommended certain dishes to try. Starters, street food and the curry with rice and breads were all top drawer 👌 Table booked for this friday with a different 6 people. Can't wait!!!
