We’ve just moved to Kentford so we’re keen to try the local sandwich shop. We were not disappointed, in fact we are so happy this is on our doorstep. The best sandwiches we’ve ever had. A fantastic menu to choose from and whilst they aren’t cheap they’re worth every penny. I had the Unbrielivabe and it lived up to its name. Packed full of bacon, Brie and chilli jam toasted in thick, white, crusty bread. It was toasted to perfection and the jam had caramelised around the edges. The coffee was hot and creamy and very enjoyable. It was a sunny day so we sat outside which was nice. Great spot and can’t wait to come back and try another of their fully loaded sandwiches , toasties and wraps.

I’m reluctant in saying that this pub is possibly the best pub in Suffolk. If you like a choice of 4 beautiful real ales , served to perfection. Price is unbelievable BUT don’t expect food, I hear the term is a WET Pub. Well behaved dogs, kept on leads, are welcomed, walking boots are left at the door. Both are expected from considerate people. Inconsiderate people could go elsewhere.

Review of Christmas Club Meal. Arrived very busy ordered drinks from bar nice gin a bit slow with only one serving. Seated in the main restaurant where the carvery is situated. We had 4 large tables. Place settings nice and Christmas themed. The starters very nice liked the mini Camembert cheese the cranberry sauce a bit runny. Mains from are served from the carvery, meats were either beef, turkey. A fish and what looked like a vegetarian nut roast. Had Turkey it was nice and moist and tasty. Pigs in blanket good, roasted potatoes these were very over cooked dry and hardly edible, carrot and parsnips good, broccoli very hard nearly raw. Other vegetables very good. The contentious do or do you not have Yorkshire with Turkey, well I did again over cooked and kept warm also tasted very oily. Deserts I had the cheese and crackers, very good selection of cheeses, like the warm bread but the crackers were soft as having being left out to long or old stale. The other selections not to my taste as with most restaurants now consist of salted caramel or a variety of chocolate dish’s, cheese cake offered not my taste. Finished with very good mince pies and tea or coffee. Service good throughout. Overall worth the money best better if they sort the carvery over or undercooked items out.

We went for New Year's Eve dinner and will not be returning. Unfortunately, the quality of cooking since being taken over by The Chestnut Group has let this place down. So here is the list of the problems we encountered- The nibbles did not arrive before the starters. There was a 10 inch long blond hair in the ham hock starter that my friend had to extract from his mouth . He did not eat the rest of the plateful. The scallop starter when I did finally receive it as they did not bring it to the table with all the other starters, was not cooked properly and the seaweed base was inedible. The waiters were hard working and I cannot fault them. When we broached the hair in food situation with the manager on paying the bill there was no apology whatsoever. Don't waste your hard earned money eating there.
