The best restaurants in West Leigh Southend-on-Sea East of England

Went for a Bottomless Brunch. Food was lovely, service excellent and the staff so attentive and hard working - glasses always full and great vibes. Would recommend

Just reading these reviews. I did not write a review at the time as I hoped it was an isolated incidence, and nobody enjoys leaving a negative review in this climate. I see nobody has mentioned the smell inside the restaurant. As I walked in I wrinkled my nose at a smell that wafted over, I assumed it was a man placed near the front door. I was in a party of 4 adults/couples. We ordered drinks and the meze arrived ! it was a bowl of green dip and tiny triangles of cold hard pitta bread. Nobody said a word as this was a fun night. We ordered main course, I ordered the prawns !! in a sauce which read very appetising. Everybody was served and as an adult I said please start. People did slightly. Then came over again the terrible stench, I looked at the other female and we both mouthed " wind"....the males said no, its the drains. It was awful. I would say I waited a further 15 minutes for the prawn dish, the sauce was a dead ringer for a jar of Lloyd Grossman...by then we all started to speak about the food etc. The other lady got up to go to the toilet, was in there an age. I jumped up and went to the toilet as walking home. I can only say the contents of my stomach left my body, although not quite as as soon as I went to wash my hands, where I had flushed the toilet bowl was rising. I can laugh about it now. Then I had to sit again and my god I was in a state. Flushed again, and again it rose up. I did not say a word to friends until Christmas eve. As my husband and I started our walk I confided my story with " I need to go again" he said you cannot. I said I need to and I scoured alleys , bushes,,,,it was torture, He said, I will rush on, give me your bag, and off he shot. He flung he front door open and I made it. Hopefully the drains are fixed and the prawns are defrosted properly now. It seems so with all the great reviews. I do remember all the staff were attentive, and asked a few times how my meal was. And being typically British I said " fine". The truth as eating the food we all found it underwhelming.

Really not happy. Waited 2 hours before recieving our order with the delivery time constantly changing. And when the food finally arrived it was cold. I had called the restaurant and the food was waiting for a driver.

Just back from a fantastic afternoon/evening at The Cocktail Kitchen, it was our first time there and can’t wait to go back. Staff lovely and friendly and prosecco and cocktails delicious.

Simply a beautiful all-around experience! Food cooked to perfection. Great service. A wonderful and comfortable environment. Be tempted by Eden! You won't be disappointed!!

We regularly have dinner here while doing the weekly quiz. The food is delicious, particularly the fish and chips and popcorn chicken! Reasonable price too and great choice of local beer. The staff are so friendly, which helps create a really welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to Tate who served us last week, top customer service as always!

I was in the area and I'm used to high quality Haddock in Pembrokeshire where I live. The Perfect place really delivered. The fish was fresh properly cooked. The staff friendly and engaging. The quality is really high. I visited twice during the month and on both occasions the food was excellent.

Great food, good service, nice surroundings ample parking. We were a large group and the chef managed to serve us all at the same time with hot, tasty quality food. The staff were pleasant and and efficient. We will be back.

We had a fantastic meal here last summer everyone enjoyed their food it was full of flavour especially steaks and reasonably priced! Staff were lovely, restaurant is decorated nicely and is comfortable, definitely hope to return soon!

I visit this Cafe twice a year when in the area for work and wished I could visit more often. Everytime I visit I'm greeted with a warm, friendly welcome. The menu is great with a varied choice of sweet and savory and the food is delicious. In the summer I often have the smoothie boosters which are amazing. I wish I could pick the Cafe up and make it local to me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would not recommend. Food was barely warm when it arrived, it is far too expensive for what you get. The chips taste as though they have been microwaved to reheat them. We were missing 2 portions of chips from our order, rang them to let them know, they said they would get them delivered to us and it took them 45 minutes to get them delivered. The burger buns were soggy where they had clearly been sat there waiting. Overall very disappointing and definitely not worth the amount charged.

Been driving past for 3 years and stopped to get a roll a few weeks ago. Been going back since. Today had a breakfast, delicious! Please try!

Booked up for lunch on Sunday 11th June for 1:30, got there with my disabled Mother and it was closed, no notification. !!

Absolutely fantastic food! Very welcoming too! Will be back ❤️
