The best restaurants in Sopwell St Albans East of England

Very disappointed with our stay. This was a 40th present for my husband and we paid for upgraded room the club spa facilities. To start with the room, it was small for one of their better rooms. Terrible location by the stairs and we were awoken by a group of people at midnight loudly. Then the room temperature was set to 26degrees so had to mess about with that in the early hours. The club spa is nice but small and overhyped. The sauna wasn’t working and shower broken. The floor by our bed was dirty with broken toenails too! I did politely raise my concerns but got “oh no, sorry about that” and please pay the bill. I have had the fortune to stay at pennyhill, south lodge and various champneys and think you get for more for your money!

Enjoy going here for a coffee, we often travel here from Edgware. Sadly the manager Rebecca has left and it feels as if the store has lost its soul. A lot of the staff dont smile or engage with the customers as previously when Rebecca was there.

What an amazing experience. The food was amazing and Vincent was so helpful and attentive. This was our third time and we will definitely be coming back

I’ve visited the Hare and Hounds twice with my family for Sunday lunch, and both experiences were excellent. The food was outstanding perfectly cooked, flavorful, and generously portioned. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The cleanliness was impeccable, including the restrooms, which were spotless and well-maintained a detail that often sets a place apart. I highly recommend the Hare and Hounds for a top quality dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

Had dinner and breakfast here while staying at the hotel. During dinner Mushroom truffle soup was delicious, and lambchops were ok. However service was very slow, we waited quite long time for our meals to arrive, and no one came to clear empties or clean the table after starters or after the main meals.. Breakfast is okay with many options but it is lacking fresh cucumbers, fresh tomatoes, olives, and cheese ( such as gouda, feta, or english cheddar )

This cooffe shop is he best for meas it is within walking distance to easily reach with my one good leg and one good arm to hobble along using my hiking pole Staff always friendly Never too crowded so plenty of space to sit on the comfortable furniture and if sunny there are outside tables The staff never hesitate to take my tray to my table quickly realising I have one working hand

Had a McDelivery, half of my order missing. Tried to call the restaurant, no one answers! Left a message on their machine, no one has called me back. Talked to Uber who carried out the delivery service, they cannot do anything but refund the food. Won’t refund the delivery cost. Told me to reorder for the missing food and pay again for delivery! Jokers. Not a good system, obvious flaws if your order is wrong. Won’t get any food delivered again.

We ordered pizza delivery at home from ChiKizza using the online service. Just two pizzas, around £25, come to £31 when the extras were added. Watch out for those. The automated service told us it would be 45-60 minutes. After it has taken 80 minutes, I rang them to say the order was running late, the person answering told me it would be another ten minutes and put the phone down. No apology or manners. He hadn't asked me for a name or my order number and my phone number was not the one I used when ordering. Amazingly, it was only 10 minutes more before the pizzas arrived. Thick crust, not thin crust, as ordered. So, if you are looking for the wrong order delivered very slowly with poor customer service, let me recommend ChiKizza, you will be delighted.

Agree with other reviewers. Very dry. Tasted old and reheated. I recall when egg fried rice used to be white....

Todo el día y la noche, los estudiantes de Marlborough se reúnen en este lugar. Está bien, de verdad. No es lo mejor, pero es rápido, lo que es perfecto para un almuerzo o un período libre. No recomendaría un viaje específicamente para visitar, pero no está tan mal.
