The best restaurants in St Mary's North Tyneside North East

After reading previous reviews about Thirteen we turned up today for lunch after a walk along the coast . We had coffee , chicken panini and avocado on sour dough . Lovely people , excellent food at a very reasonable price . Thank you Thirteen , we will be back .

What an amazing resource this is and much needed, it is so good to be able to stop for refreshments in a friendly and welcoming environment. The menu is good and reasonably priced and the service is excellent This is the perfect venue, friendly and non intrusive but a listening ear if needed and the opportunity to meet others. Not everyone drives and having this cafe at the entrance is perfect for those coming on public transport or anyone just wanting a friendly Face and a drink hot meal or snack... Well done to the owner and staff.. North Tyneside council. This is a real asset and I hope it gets your continued support. Carol Mulrine

Closed at 10 15 on a Saturday night… wasn’t busy but plenty people in … good example of how small businesses fail instead of trying to build business and encourage repeat custom, ask them to leave and probably won’t return….

Yet again we have had great food at the beehive inn, cooked to order but we'll worth the wait as it was excellent. The pesto salmon was fabulous according to my wife who loves salmon. I had the gish and chips with curry sauce and that was some of the best I've had. Staff are great and attentive and the place is really nice. Booking ahead is recommended to guarantee a table.. Good choice of real ales also available. We shall be back. Went with friends this week, the Xmas turkey lunch/dinner was absolutely spot on and worth every penny. A great place to eat!!!

Just been for festive afternoon tea with 3 friends & thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was delicious & staff very helpful and welcoming. Excellent value for money - we highly recommend it.

Thank you to Laura and Kris for making my 60th birthday party so special. Fantastic food as always and a wonderful atmosphere. You couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. I've already been asked about my 70th birthday!

A refreshing and exciting choice for those that lunch on the go without the dreaded wait of most sit in venues in Whitley Bay. A good selection of paninis available, from familiar suspects such as tuna melts and always something different for the more adventurous amongst us! Bacon and sausage sandwiches are served in mini stotties for a proper northern sandwich, breakfast bagels are also available and other goods such as cold sandwiches which makes it worth popping in to see what’s on the menu. Good quality coffee is served with syrups and boozy shots for the naughty ones amongst us along with tempting sweet treats that go nicely together. I can’t leave this review without the mention of the staff who are all brilliant and provide a faultless service, definitely not one to miss!

We didn‘t eat here but came for an event with MND. Told the place was dog friendly, huge sign out the front saying so. Asked about times for Sunday dinner the next day and were told to get back to the other room where our group. Place was gorgeous but we won‘t be going back there. Especially not with our little sausage dogs.

Absolutely tremendous tapas! Friendly staff and dogs welcome too. Definitely worth a visit! Will be going back.

Beautiful food . Went as a group of 11 for a birthday. Some of the group had starters which were very generous portions we only had a main which again was very plentiful. I had the seafood linguine, huge king prawns,calamari,mussels and shrimp. Absolutely delicious. Already looking forward to our next visit

Victorian seaside cafe. Hot and cold snacks and ice cream. Scones made by someone with a heavy hand. Good bacon/sausage sandwiches. Dog andl child friendly. View out to sea. Good and cheerful staff. Be warned that there is no WiFi and no reception on O2.

Disapointing for food but service and drinks were fine

Sorry guys cappuccino 1st one not good replacement così così large served in a tea cup size not the usual been coming here for years Staff really nice but today lacking experience in Italian cappuccino To me cappuccino is cappuccino basic not that I can make one not English cappuccino but life is to short hopefully the next time back to normal

Just popped in with my partner for fish and chips and it was beautiful. Well worth the price, great sized portions and very tasty. I had the Regular Cod and Chips and my partner had the Large Cod and Chips. Both thoroughly enjoyed. Highly Recommend :-)
