No food available but nuts and crisps available. Beer is delicious.

It was my first time here and the service was excellant. The staff were very attentive and the food was amazing. Will definitely be returning.

We have dined out once a week for many years & my reviews on tripadviser are not always positive. I look for even minor negatives to comment on in my reviews. Considering we live locally i dont know why we have never dined here before. I had creamy garlic mushrooms starter & it was the most enjoyable i have EVER had. We both had chicken stroganoff which was also excellent followed by a salted caramel cheesecake (average to good) Service also was faultless & at £51 for both of us with 2 halves of laager was a bargain ...so much so i left a £5 tip. My friends rib me for being tight & my partner felt my forehead after , thinking i was delirious !! All in all i was well impressed ...a return visit is definite

We visited The Butler’s Arms for the first time and had the set Christmas menu. I have to say this rates as one of the best turkey dinners I’ve ever had. Fresh produce, piping hot, well presented, hearty portions. The welcome, the atmosphere, the service and the bar were also all spot on. Attention to detail was on point, timings were excellent and we didn’t feel rushed. This is the template for a well run traditional pub with big ambitions. Well done to the owners and staff. I really hope they keep this going as, based on this experience, I highly recommend and will definitely return. Top marks!

Went to Hollytree village chippy today thought I would try fish, chips, and mushy peas. Got home, the chips where scraps, fish was all batter, peas lucky if the Carton was half full. Threw away the lot, never again, as the meal? As you call it cost me £9.70. Were they got this award from, God only knows. Awful.

i have been here twice got food poising both times thought it might have just been a bug until last night when i tasted off chicken chicken was still pink

We were on our way home from Preston and trying to think of a good chippy in Blackburn but sadly we realised all the good ones were no longer open. We came across Cherry Tree chippy but wondered if it would be ok as it’s a Chinese take away ( not that we’re averse to a Chinese) . We ordered steak pud ( Hollands) chips, large mushy peas and large gravy. Theirs plenty of chips for 2 in a portion of chips. It was absolutely delicious and hot even though we were several miles from home. Took a menu and we will certainly be back. Staff really pleasant and quick service.

Great place , very family and pet friendly, exciting things for all the family to do from partying to live performers and kids Christmas and Halloween parties. Highly recommend visiting.

Visited on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to The Clog and Billycock. Food was tasty and arrived quickly despite the pub being full. The team were very attentive and no ask was too big. The only thing that ruined it was the table next us becoming very loud and aggressive with the managers, shame to ruin the lovely vibe of the place. Hope the team know they are all doing an amazing job and we will definitely be returning

Food was cold and late arrival! Not normal for holly tree they are usually awesome

We called in to meet with family and friends on New years day, stayed 30 mins, was very busy, no mention of paying for parking that any of us saw. 15/1/2025 3 PARKING TICKETS @ £100 EACH. Disgusting !

Ordered two meals to take out: Big Mac Meal and 9 Nugget Meal both with Coke Zero’s. Big Mac after a 3 minute drive was cold and had no cheese on it.(I was going to order a double Cheeseburger but noticed they weren’t available- could they have ran out of cheese perhaps?) Chips also cold. Nuggets Luke warm at best with neither the Chips nor the dips which were part of the order. One coke was at least 2 inches lower than the other. All of this for a princely sum of around £16. Feel like my wallet has just been dipped. By far the worst McDonalds I’ve ever eaten and I’ve eaten them across Europe and in the States. Absolute shambles.
