The best restaurants in Chelford Cheshire East North West

Had my birtday lunch here on Friday 13th Dec, I have been here twice already with my best friend. First class traditional home cooked food, loads of fresh veg , large jugs of gravy, not overpriced , decent portions served hot. There is a nice roaring coal fire when it's cold. I am slowly working myself through the menu, having tried the gammon, steak pie and steak and suet pudding. I can wholly say they are all perfect.

Well i've been coming here a few years now to eat in, first time today for a take out and i must say they lived upto my expectations and their reputation. Was ready on time, well packaged and a very pleasant welcome on arrival, plus my after 8, and of course the curry was delicious too.

We stayed one night as it was close to family we were visiting and we also wanted to explore Knutsford town centre. The room was spacious and decorated nicely in a modern style, comfortable accommodation. We had dinner and breakfast. All the food we had was very nice, there was a good atmosphere, though on the noisy side. It was busy and luckily we had booked a table; many drop ins were turned away. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Amazing food the fish and chips was massive and the best we have ever had. Better than any chip shop will definitely be back, such a cozy feel to a traditional pub

Great cafe fabulous atmosphere friendly staff. All round a good place to go. Had some great scones. It was really busy which shows its a good place to eat

Very nice coffee, albeit a bit pricey and there seemed to be a surprisingly long wait for things (the family in front being told it'd be over 15 minutes to get a milkshake). I also thought that it was a odd that they didn't have any toilets on site and instead visitors needed to use the ones at the far side of the car park.

Really nice place. Coal fires burning homely and great hospitality from the Landlord who bought me half a pint. Genuine northern decency and kindness.

A lovely Cheshire pub - We had a super lunch here and the atmosphere is lovely - 👍🙏

The Smoker was a nice pub restaurant.Very sadly the thatched roof caught fire on the early evening of Wednesday 23rd October 2024,so will be closed for the foreseeable future I would think. This was reported on local news..it is Very sad.such a lovely atmosphere when I visited a good few years ago.

This Restaurant is set in lovely surroundings and looks very nice, the food is very good and staff are lovely, the interior and atmosphere are very appealing, we will be back, Thank You.

Fantastic place to go come rain or shine! Great outside play area to keep little ones entertained for a while. Cafe offering an amazing choice of ice creams and drinks. Other food options also available but have never tried these. Definitely will return and recommend!

Visited today with my friend what a wonderful meal we had chose gammon poached eggs and chips gammon isn’t my go to food but it was utterly delicious shredded plenty of it and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked staff were lovely and friendly defiantly will be back

Menu somewhat restricted as it was lunchtime

Lovely lunch as always, however, we were very saddened to learn that the excellent and now famous Scotch Egg has disappeared from the menu! Please bring it back, it’s the best ever and nowhere can match it!

Fantastic food, lovely rooms. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great location lovely quiet area had a great sleep.
