The best restaurants in Helsby Cheshire West and Chester North West

I am from Frodsham just down the road and despite me living there for over 20 years I have never ventured up the road to this establishment. That is of course until this evening. My friend and I ordered a mix starter to share, shared a naan and then got our own mains. I had the chilli and garlic chicken, and asked for it to be Vindaloo hot. The service and ambience was excellent and every single part of the food that was served was 10/10. I am very critical when it comes to my food, and I rarely give a perfect score, however I simply could not fault any facet of my experience, so a perfect score I will give. I will most definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend. Hoped you liked our custom, and my minter on the way out 👍

The restaurant is very nice and a lovely atmosphere, the staff were also very nice and attentive but the food was awful. We ordered the sharing Camembert to start which came with one slice of bread, the waitress ended up taking an almost full Camembert away as we had nothing to dip into it except two measly slices of bread. There was lots of dishes missing off the menu, we ordered the mixed game pie and short ribs and both unavailable which was really disappointing, there was also no blue cheese potatoes which came with a few of the other dishes we looked at ordering. We ended up ordering a burger and it was very basic, my husband couldn’t eat it as the bun was soaked in grease and had gone soggy. The cheese pie was very bland and had a very strong flour taste to it. This place isn’t cheap and therefore we were really disappointed with the lack of menu options available and the quality of food served to us.

We discovered by accident when we had finished our walk up helsby hill. We only were there for a cold drink this time but we will return to try the food soon. I was blown away by the choices for me being vegan. Can't wait to try the food

A small cafe situated in Tesco at Helsby. A lovely bright cafe with a nice big window. Tables were clean but due to the style of the chairs we were sitting in there were alot of crumbs around the edge. Friendly staff and efficient service. They do have a limited food menu compared to other Tesco's but a very good hot drinks menu.

Probably the nicest chips I've ever had from a chippy. Cooked to perfection really nice 😎

Amazing but sad it has been closed for so long

I’d been here 18 months ago and was left underwhelmed… However… ordered from here the other day and what a change… Super tasty burgers and incredible chips… the portions are huge, I thought it was good value just by looking at the prices, so was really very impressed! I was disappointed that there were no beans on the menu - this disappointment was short lived - beans were found!! Thanks a million!!

Do not go! 13.30 pm, ARRIVE, HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING. BOLLARDS ARE OUT SO PULL UP AND PARK UP. GO AROUND TO THE FRONT CLOSED!!! HAVE TO PAY PARKING and can't as closed! Pay now OR £100 FINE... as we can't give reg to bar staff! 100% entrapment as there are no closed signs nothing!! Looks open from our direction!! Shocking. Took video ... NO CLOSED SIGNS just bollards enticing you in on the pavement!
