dont be put off by old reviews which were different owners, the last 18months this cafe was brought right up to scratch and beyond by a new owners. is now in the hands of a great crew of cooks who absolutely know how to create the perfect cafe experience and a community atmosphere. A stand out bin lid / omelette / salad sandwich , and they don't even skit me ( to my face) about eating the same thing every time i visit .

My and my wife visited here on new years eve. At 6pm. We were told on the phone while booking a table. That between 5-8 pm. The set menu would be £39.95. So we thought ok let's see what on offer. Poppadoms with chutneys. Choice of starters. Onion Bhaji. Chicken Chat. Choice of mains. Lamb Jalfrezi. Pillow rice. Chicken Nawabi. Pillow rice. And a Naan bread. At extra cost. Glass of wine. And a diet Coke. We haven't been for a while. But £94.35. Is a very expensive for a average meal. Normally it would cost about £50. Why do they make expensive prices on new years eve. Sadly we won't be returning. 👎

Food was over an hour late, with no updates from the staff. We only knew they were struggling once we called when it was 20 mins late, and I do appreciate it was a busy Friday night, but updates would have been appreciated. It eventually arrived cold. Too hungry to argue, we ate without complaint. Most of the food was delicious despite its tepid temperature, but the chips were nasty. Won't bother again.

Lovely pub, warm welcome from Leonardo and nice food. Family friendly and baby change / high chairs available. Would visit again.

We have been a few times and we have never been disappointed with the service or the food. It’s always clean and good value for money we will definitely be going again

Sunday roast was lovely, home cooked perfect lamb and we went when it was quiet so lovely quiet roast dinner with burning log fire :)

Zero. I went in with a group of friends on our college lunch break, be bought something in the main storr and went up to eat it in thr cafe. We got sent out because we hadnt boight food FROM the cafe, I wouldn't mind if it was busy but there where about 3 other groups of people in there. TERRIBLE SERVICE - honestly what was the point? I'm not keeping silent about this, I am disgusted! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Had donner kebabs delivered,they were freezing cold.not nice at all. Not impressed. Wouldn't recommend Never use again

We were pleasantly surprised that at 6:30 on a bank holiday Friday night we were served promptly by attentive friendly staff and the food was fresh and tasty. We were able to sit outside with our dog to eat

Arrived for lunch with my son asked if I could sit in a empty booth and was told no its booked Was shown to a table by the toilets next to three other tables with guests so was not desirable I asked for another table please and was told I could sit in the bar area . Jodey told me all the other vacant tables were booked for bookings frankly I disbelieve this comment but it was her manner of sarcastically speaking that I felt was unacceptable with a smirk and a thankyou when I complained and asked he name Sorry I come out for lunch not to be treated like a child at school being told you will sit where I tell you attitude Had a lovely lunch elsewhere and sorry to say I won't be back so soon to have such poor service

Ordered two meals for lunch today, the chicken quality was enough to turn us both vegetarians! It was black, fatty and very vainy! No member of staff checked to see if our meals were ok, so I laid it all out on the plate and left, hoping they realised when clearing it away. It's not the cheapest of places for lunch and I would expect higher quality of meat served.
