Just popped in on the off chance. Great welcome. Great service with a smile especially Alarna . Big ceilings . Watched the cricket.

Food was delicious! We had a couple of paninis, both were hot and tasty! We also had an arancini and that was fantastic as well! The guy that delivered it was super friendly and welcomed us to the area!

Could do with more staff particularly at night. Quality is good prices cheaper than others in denton.

Great family pub with great atmosphere and superb staff, families are welcome and I would recommend it to anyone.

A 1 night stay after flying into MAN airport, 23 December. Easy check in as usual, lovely quiet room on the ground floor. We had a meal deal for next door restaurant where the atmosphere was very Christmassy with expectant children waiting for Santa. Staff were incredibly busy and some waiting for meals but hey ho. It can be an odd place to get off the motorway to the hotel but simple to get on the following morning. Would like to see premier rooms here, still I am sure we shall be back.

A lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and delicious food. The staff are lovely and welcoming with a nice fire to greet you in these cold evenings.

Great service from Jamie, very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks on offer. Food was plentiful and good value for the money (had the carvery- the works) will defo come again

We booked a table for 12 for my dad's birthday. It was ready for us on time, and we were seated promptly. The food was good (hot and tasty) and arrived quickly. The staff were really helpful and dealt with a couple of special requests without any fuss.

Shut down re opened in another name suspicious

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door, as we were in the area visiting family. We decided to go and have breakfast at the Stable Gate next door, purely for convenience, before we set off on our long drive home. We paid at the bar as instructed, for 2 adults and our 7 year old ate free. Instead of being shown to a table, the waitress who greeted us told us to sit ‘anywhere in that area’ and pointed in a general direction. We settled on a table but she quickly followed us and told us we couldn’t sit there and reaffirmed a particular area we should sit at. We settled on a second table but once again she came over to tell us we couldn’t sit there. She then, on the third occasion, pointed to a table we should go to. Why she couldn’t have just told us this from the outset, I really don’t know 🤷‍♀️. We were told it was buffet and we should help ourselves. We have been there a few times before when we have stayed next door, so we knew the drill. On this occasion though, it was a poor experience. The ‘hot’ breakfast items were all cold and of very poor quality. Cheap catering sausages, stodgy and cold scrambled egg, cold beans and overly fatty cheap bacon. The best bit was the toast which we made ourselves. All in all, with the ‘wrong table’ incidents, less than helpful staff member and terrible quality, cold food, we won’t be returning any time soon.
