The best restaurants in Long Crendon Aylesbury Vale South East

We don’t come often enough. We have been coming over many years and the quality of food is exceptional. This, coupled with friendly service in a lovely setting make this restaurant a MUST if you are in the area

Fantastic friendly local, good food, great atmosphere

An excellent lunch for my husband and myself. We had chicken wrapped in bacon and stuffed with mozzarella and the venison pie - both excellent. The pub is genuinely old and our table was by the log fire, which was a bonus. There is a good choice of local beers and you always get a warm welcome here too! Thank you Eight Bells!

The farm shop has now turned into a café, which was a lovely opportunity to go for breakfast. They have good choice on the menu, which was great. I think we did catch it on a slightly bad day, where there was a loud group in there, and the indoor seating is incredibly echoey, so it was just noisy. Appreciate it is a small business, so acoustic panels etc are not considered as much when designing the space. But my husband and I couldn’t really hear each other talk, despite being sat at the opposite and of the café to the group. My food was very nice! Although my husbands toast was completely black underneath, and had been turned over to hide this which wasn’t great. Given that it was just us and one group in there, it’s not as though they were rushed off their feet, to not be able to redo the toast. The coffee was good, and came in very trendy mugs… However, the mugs are far too small, given the price of the coffee! It didn’t seem like fair market value, even for a small business café. My hot chocolate also came in a small mug. That was quite frustrating. The service was nice, so that was really positive! The toilets were unfortunately a bit too rustic as they were full of spiders and a bit dirty. They had put a nice fragrance in there, but I’d rather it was just clean! Appreciate that spiders can get into places, but this just hadn’t been cleaned up in awhile as there were webs everywhere So a bit of a mixed experience all round. We would go back, but going to leave it for quite awhile in the hopes that some of these issues are addressed in the future An expensive visit for what we got

Xmas lunch. 2 courses and both were excellent. Aaron and his team are welcoming. Especially liked the Apple and Cinnamon crumble.

Quite a pleasant pub and restaurant with an attractive menu, also with accommodation. Never really happy when service is added to the bill.

We had a group of 29 of us for a football club pre Christmas lunch at the Sunday buffet and it was fantastic. The team were very helpful with the planning of our event and the lunch was excellent. Very good buffet, was topped up regularly with hot and fresh food and the service was great. Thank you!

Had a take away and wasn't impressed. Went a few days ago with friends thinking eating in would be fresher than eating out of plastic tubs. Shared a vegetarian platter with my wife. Thought it was a bit flavourless. Ordered the Chicken in a sweet and sour sauce. Thought the sauce was very watery and the chicken tasted off,the pinapple also lack flavour. Didn't eat any of it. Very disappointed and won't be going back anytime soon. It's a shame as it's very local and convenient. Staff are friendly but food let's it down Didn't say anything on the day. But I'm saying it now. I have seen one similar review to this and I believe that to be correct too. They need to up their game.

Really good local pub that we use when visiting friends

WENT TO THE CHUCHILL ARMS AFTER A LOCAL CLAY PIDGEON SHOOT FOR A BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR MY SON. WE BOTH AGREED THAT THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE PUB WAS VERY WELCOMING WE WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THE THAI RETAURANT. THE SERVICE AND THE FOOD WERE EXCELLENT

Had first day beating yesterday with a new shoot and the pub provided us beautiful bacon and egg rolls for breakfast and then a lovely sit down lunch at the end. All of the food looked lovely and my chicken was delicious. Great selection of drinks and very reasonably priced too. Lovely and warm, lovely friendly staff and just a really cosy welcoming place all round.

Walking into the pub, the atmosphere was really friendly. All the staff seem to want to make sure you have a lovely time. The food was absolutely lovely, well cooked and tasted divine. Would highly recommend. If you need a place to stay after a heavy meal, consider the beautiful Long Crendon Manor. Only a 10 Minute walk away.
