The best restaurants in Petersfield Heath East Hampshire South East

“Club Deputy Chairman and friends visited this long-established venue for the first time for all of us. We received a very warm welcome and were quickly seated with drinks and menus. The restaurant was busy but this did not affect the level of attention we received. The menu is quite extensive with several bespoke dishes available. Starters partaken were huge Onion Bhaji’s, Seekh Kebab, and an absolutely divine Chicken Tikka Lazeez, which were served quickly after very crispy poppadoms. Main courses thoroughly enjoyed by all were Nawabi Murgh Masala’s, Madhu Chicken cooked with spices and honey, and a vegetarian Mirchwangan Korma. Several other dishes on the menu that we all agreed we would like to try on a return visit. We had a great chat with the very amiable owner, Muj, sharing stories of restaurants known to us both in Camberley, Frimley, Haslemere, Liss and Grayshott. We bought as a takeaway. Assumed the food would be of the same standard as 'in house'. Felt a bit sad. Previous owners? Lemongrass? It was alot fresher. The sauce in the Thai curry is grainy and the chicken is either frozen or overcooked (please don't assume the fact that it has continued cooking whilst still travelling from 'pick-up' because there is a difference and we've had take away from there before). The flavours of the curry were nice but, as mentioned, the sauce was quite 'grainy'. Vegetables that 'were' in the curry were, sadly, soggy. We also had the duck pancakes. Pancakes were fine. Again, the duck was tough? It just felt as if it had been pre-microwaved?Totally appreciate that it was 'take-away' and not 'in-house' but we've had much better from the same establishment in the past. It was not worth the price and you used to get alot more for what you paid. Really sorry. Rarely complain. Just a bit vexed. :(

Great small cafe. You can watch the kids play while you get a coffee. Kids sandwiches are a good size and huge sausage rolls.
