The best restaurants in Penshurst, Fordcombe and Chiddingstone Sevenoaks South East

Been there many times in the past 25 years and the service and quality of the freshly made sandwiches and homemade cakes has never changed Its first class you’re never waiting long and the gardens are such a beautiful place to enjoy it. Would always thoroughly recommend it

This is a very old and cosy pub just outside the historic village of Penshurst. This winter the pub is hosting the Snow Leopard Alpine Kitchen offering fondue, tartiflette, mulled wine and apres ski vibe. The food is hearty, warming and very tasty. Give it a try! Highly recommended.

Excellent food drink and staff.

We visited for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The table was all set up and ready for us and the afternoon tea was delicious. The portions are very generous and boxes were provided to take home the food we couldn’t eat. The village is delightful and the shop well worth a visit , would definitely go back.

Lovely staff. Excellent service and great pub lunch. Would highly recommend even for a quick pit stop. We had a cheese and tomato sandwich and a scotch egg. Both were fabulous

We had a fantastic stay last night. We took our doggy who was welcomed with open arms. We shared the best Chateaubriand we've ever had in the cosy bar by the fire, slept in a very comfy bed with blackout blinds and came down for a hearty brekkie this morn. The Bramley bathroom products and dressing gowns are a lovely touch, staff are super friendly and we were worried Penshurst was totally closed over winter but the cafe and shop were open and we did a lovely walk in the winter sunshine thanks to the wall available on the pub website to download. Thank you, we can't wait to come back soon!

My partner & I visited this gorgeously quaint pub for the first time a week ago for lunch with our daughters as we wanted to enjoy a family meal together before visiting Hever Castle. The service was very good and the food was delicious. However the experience was spoilt by a family of four adults and their four young children, who were sitting behind us, who were not well behaved (I.e. the children were ‘allowed’ to continue shouting despite being told not to and worse of all one Dad cleaned his son’s face after their meal whilst the child stood on the furniture)! Their behaviour as a family showed a lack of respect for everyone else at the pub, especially the staff. Who lets their children stand on someone else’s furniture, let alone with dirty shoes on?! We will return but at a different time when hopefully badly behaved young children wont be in attendance.

From start to finish, our experience was brilliant. It was a wet and windy day and the welcome we received at the Bottle House Inn was warm and sparkly, with a crackling log fire and a superb table for 8 of us. The bar service and table service were exemplary - efficient, calm and friendly. The food was delicious - the roast dinner was amazing - plenty of meat and extras. One of the best roasts I’ve ever had! We will be back and will recommend you to all of our friends and family. Thank you!

If I'm paying £2.50 for a can of coke, It would nice to be offered a glass and ice with it. Iced latte, in a mug - really? Sausage baguette, sausage and baguette - nothing else, no salad, no crisps. I don't mind expensive, But please offer something to justify the price. The staff were nice though.

I have never been to Kingdom before and i just loved it. The warm welcoming atmosphere from the staff and the food was lovely which gave us stength for our walk which was wonderful with breath taking scenery even on a dull cloudy day with the Autumn colours so we will be back on a sunny day . I would certainly recommend Kingdom for everything they have to offer
