The best restaurants in Aston Rowant South Oxfordshire South East

This is a great pub! I regularly visit with friends and members of several motorcycle groups. The landlady, Jackie, always does her best to make us feel welcome, and the food is wholesome and good value !

My recommendation is to steer clear of this auction site. Despite winning my lot on 9th October and paying promptly the next day, after all the weeks of waiting I never received it.fully aware that postal charges were to be invoiced separately , I waited for the invoice.subsequent telephone calls were fobbed off with excuses.’The lady dealing with postage was out of the office’. I got my banking fraud recovery involved and only then did the mystery lady called basically blaming me for the delay! After promising to post free of charges as a goodwill gesture, two weeks later still no goods. Despicable.

Dropped by for dinner as tourists staying in the area. Super friendly owner and staff, good food, and great atmosphere. Shared a couple jokes with the locals on our way out. Wife had the vegan option and I had the fish & chips.

We popped in for drinks as we often do as we really enjoy the pub, we would have stayed longer if the woodburner had have been roaring and toasty warm but unfortunately it wasn’t.
