An awesome place to visit, whether with or without tour dog. This is the friendliest coffee shop for dogs ever, there are treated with the utmost respect, a bed a bowl of water and treats before you order for yourself. Open 6 days a week and the Coffee and food is all to die for

Great dishes, reasonable prices, mainly local clients. Bought some cakes to go and those were lovely too. Had some fun checking out the chickens and horses outside too.

Wonderful food, shame about the awful service, waited a long time to give our orders in, waiter did not smile once, other waiters seem to not care about the customers, saw them leaning on the bar doing nothing, do not think we will be going back there, would not recommend this place to my friends, such a shame because the food was so tasty.

We rang ten minutes before we turned up to see if there was a table. Unfortunately, the person to whom we spoke hadn't communicated this to staff, who were somewhat thrown. After that blip, we had a lovely experience: staff were friendly and hard-working and the food was really delicious. We like, too, that there is a policy of sharing tips equally between staff. We would definitely return but would also definitely book!

I recently had a pretty comical experience at the cafe since it was sold over to Hiller, and honestly, I think I’ll be taking a permanent vacation from there. The servers were a bunch of teenagers who seemed to be playing a real-life game of “Where’s Waldo?” with their sense of direction. Watching them fumble around was like a sitcom episode gone wrong! And we actually saw them using frozen food deep-fried in the kitchen—who knew we were dining in a culinary time capsule? I was served a cold cup of black tea with no milk or sugar. I mean, are we brewing tea or trying to make a potion for a witch? And don’t even get me started on the scone—it was so dry I’m pretty sure it could’ve doubled as a doorstop! We used to get massive pots of tea here, and now it’s like they’re trying to serve us a cup of disappointment and a scone that needs a glass of water just to survive! It’s like they’re going for the “slimy swamp tea” aesthetic! Save your money and go somewhere that knows how to brew a decent cup! Seriously, if I wanted a potion for a witch, I’d at least expect it to come with a side of magic, not a side of regret!

We were looking for a lunch stop whilst on the A303 near to Thruxton and found The White Horse just by chance. What a find! We had a delicious lunch and will certainly return here again. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area

Unfortunately, due to the weather the kitchen was shut, so it was coffee only. However, I’m concerned how the staff would cope normally, as they were completely incapable of making a few coffees and putting a cake on a plate. We waited 20 minutes for 2 cappuccinos, with no sign of it being made. When I asked what was up, I was made to feel guilty for even questioning the staff. 5 minutes later, still nothing and staff stood around chatting. Incapable, young staff and over inflated prices. Wouldn’t revisit.
