Langton Pavillion hosted the most incredible birthday party for my 4 year old daughter. The venue owner was organised and responsive to emails in advance, and on the day we were absolutely blown away with the decor, the food and drink, and the behind the scenes service. All in all, this attention to detail truly meant I could just relax and have fun. Will definitely use again.

Visited here after a NT property. Proper old pub with beams, friendly welcome and real ale. We both had a sandwich and a couple of drinks but were surprised when a 'discretionary' service charge was added to the bill. We ordered our food at bar and paid for it at the bar. It was a very strange situation as the barmaid cross out 'service not included' and inked in the 10% tip! We felt too awkward not to pay it so just went along with it. Sandwiches were good though!

Our fourth time here for lunch. The very first time we came we thought it was outstanding. The second and third time not so good which was disappointing but yesterday we had a superb lunch. Each course was beautifully presented and very tasty. The service was great and we were able to stay a while and have drinks after. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant - great friendly atmosphere and super food.

We were looking to book Pizza Cucina for our wedding and while we really liked the pizza, the communication caused us to look elsewhere.

Not a great experience, food very basic and disappointingly small menu with items not available. Scallops had to be the smallest I have ever been served, chips dry, and over cooked/reheated, lamb dish edible but certainly not a dish to return for - general presentation of the food completely lacking in any culinary artistry or passion for serving good food. Service was ok hit and miss depending who served us. Overall an underwhelming dining experience at The Hare. Certainly won’t be rushing back even with our meal tickets!

Stopped off for lunch. On our way for a weekend break near Eastbourne Not disappointed with the choice. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The menu was brilliant with lots of choices. Season and local products used. And all the food was cooked to order and very flavoursome and fantastic portions. Presentation and decor was picturesque and warmly what you would expect from a very old pud/inn. Would highly recommend to anyone who visits the areas
