The best restaurants in Wells St Thomas' Mendip South West

Amazing food as always. Tried the 5 course tasting menu. Absolutely perfect 👌

A friendly greeting on entry followed by very attentive friendly service. They came to my aid immediately after I had an accident with my wine glass and insisted I had some more "on the house". I'll definitely return.

On entering the restaurant through a small door, unwelcoming staff, no interaction with customers or children, menu was okay, not enough healthy vegan options, would not be recommending too my work colleagues, friends and family, my words would be AVOID

New addition to Wells dining scene. Don’t live locally but have tried many restaurants over many years in Wells. Bernies short menu (great!). Service was good and we were well looked after. Starters were presented well and had great taste. Steaks arrived and they were excellent (Fillets), some of the biggest steaks we have had. Great value for money and very comfortable restaurant. Will be back, when next in Wells.

Simply the best garden in the south west

Sunday lunch - I've been here before and had a great experience (3 months ago) This time the service wasn't anywhere near as good and this may have been due to being seated upstairs. The main arrived in a timely manner - but unlike last time when there were lovely plentiful vegetables (which I had raved about to friends) this time between three people a tiny bowl of veg arrived which wasn't enough for two let alone three adults. It was ridiculously small. One floret of broccoli each and one small piece of butternut squash each. Last time was double the amount if not more. Food that we did have was lovely. Service was slow and we had to try and get staff attention each time we wanted to order something ( drinks desert etc) the staff were lovely and I think just need some training. Worst bit is I've recently recommended it to several friends !
