The best restaurants in Central Swindon South West

I was looking for a solid Full English Breakfast on a lunch break - it's tough because most places stop serving breakfast beyond the morning. McCtaff's however absolutely delivered. Not only that but the food quality was really high and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!

Had a goan curry. All made fresh. And was lovely. And two beers all one off componys. The food is amazing.. The service great good choice beers curry's. 10 out of 10. The staff lovely friendly. 9 no jim

Absolutely smashing place, really great breakfast and very nice people. If you like a big breakfast, this place has your back 😋 Highly recommended!

Even for a non football fan the package is good with a stadium tour, three course meal, half time refreshments and a fantastic group of staff to look after you.

Popped into this pretty ex pub now a cafe in the railway village as was walking past and it was cold and rainy. Its unique in Swindon, staff are very friendly, coffee was very good and homemade cake amazing. It's a social enterprise but very professionally run and friendly. There's a cool art display also. Will definitely be back for lunch soon

Truly incredible food and Amazing service. Our server who was working the evening of july 21st was incredible. Very polite and sociable and helpful. She made every effort to make our meal as pleasent as possible and truly went above and beyond. The food was truly delicious and unlike anything ive ever had before. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the fries were tasty and correctly cooked. My only critisim is that the bathrooms arent very nice. Theres only space for one person at a time and the fixtures and fittings appear very used. I intend to return here everytime im in Swindon

Everything was second to none. Good unbelievable, staff and service so welcoming. Just all round spot on! Bit of advise.. if you have mixed grill don’t have a starter!

This restaurant is a perfect little hidden gem! We arrived 10 mins after opening on a Saturday with no reservation and the restaurant was already quite busy. Regardless of this the team did their best to fit us in. The restaurant was my adult daughters choice for her birthday & meal and they didn't disapoint. Both the food and service were amazing. We left very happy (& full). As a very picky vegetarian I always find it hard to find place to eat. However the salad bar here was fantastic & I was more than happy. We will definitely be back (with a reservation) & I've already recommended the restaurant to several people.

The coffee here is perfect - I have an extra hot oat milk flat white and it was spot on. So good I had another straight after! I also had the avocado on toast which was excellent value. Delicious, crunchy, thinly sliced local sourdough with well seasoned avo served separately so I could serve it up how I like, a really nice touch. Change nothing Darkroom and I’ll be back again and again

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and wasn’t expecting anything too great if I’m honest. But…. Blown away,…. The best burger I’ve ever had !! Might have been called The Blue Boy? Burgers were lovely , bacon , blue cheese , sweet onions , lettuce was fresh ….. banging !!!! Puts 5 Guys/ Wendy’s / Burger King right in their place. Well done that chef!! Just shows you don’t have to pay top drawer prices for top drawer food!

Best kebab ever! I’ve been going to Caners for a few years now and not written a review until now, the quality of the meat is amazing and the portion sizes great. Yes it’s a bit expensive but you get what you pay for! A special mention to Ali who is great and cooking and serving the meals, best “kebab chef” ever!
