Ate there yesterday for the 1st time after several recommendations, Sunday lunch and dessert, absolutely blown away, without doubt best Sunday lunch we've ever had, absolutely flawless in every aspect 😊

Had a 16th birthday for my daughter at the crown and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The service, the staff was just excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Such a lovely place and the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Food was amazing. Thank you team crown for making it so special. Can’t wait to have more birthdays there.

We spent Christmas Day at The Crown Pub with family, and it was a fantastic experience. The pub had a cozy, intimate vibe—perfect for the occasion. It wasn’t overly packed, which made it feel special and relaxed. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was equally impressive, with generous portions that left us all satisfied. Everything was cooked to perfection and made the day even more enjoyable. We’d definitely return for Christmas dinner again. Highly recommend The Crown Pub for a festive and memorable dining experience!

Very good home made Indian meal with a good selection of beers in a friendly village pub. Perfect and well worth a visit.

Just before Christmas we visited this restaurant and had an exceptional meal. We decided to return for birthday celebrations so last night six of us arrived expecting more of the same. What a transformation! Style over substance is now the order of the day! I had a crayfish salad for starters, three mouthful and it's gone. For the main course three of us had lambshank and three had haddock parcels. The lambshank were plonked in a bowl with a few pieces of random vegetables floating in the bottom. The haddock looked nice but also was insubstantial. No set course menu so a la carte prices which represented poor value for money. Won't be rushing back here!!!

Great staff who were very welcoming and obliging. Great food. Would have liked a better choice of ales, especially a porter as it was winter time.

My friend and I visited on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not overly busy, but the bar area was. We were seated at the bottom end of the restaurant - which unfortunately was freezing. I shivered throughout the whole meal. We had a main meal and a desert - both of which were lovely and very tasty Towards the end of our meal, we had to wait 20 minutes from placing the order for our desserts until they actually arrived (the restaurant was nearly empty by this stage at 8.15pm). We asked for our bill, but after 15 minutes the waiting staff still hadn’t brought it, so we went to the bar to pay - as there were 5 staff standing there chatting. The food was lovely and tasty, but unfortunately the waiting staff let it down on the service, as well as the freezing cold temperature of the bottom of the restaurant.

Visited today for Sunday lunch and had the most beautiful cooked Sunday roast. The full trimmings and delicious gravy! Highly recommend. Lovely staff and welcoming environment.

As always a superb meal. Thanks Mark, Bev and the team for a delicious culinary experience. New on the menu braised steak, we decided it was worth a try and we’re not disappointed. Melt in the mouth beef, with a flavourful sauce complemented by chips and vegetables. Great service and a toasty-warm atmosphere completed the experience. We will come again soon!
