The staff were absolutely brilliant we hosted our mums wake there last week and they couldn't do enough to help . Over the years my parents went to meals and functions there and loved the place. Thank you for making a sad day go so well

Food was very good...however the service let it down...we had to ask for our cutlery bucket with napkins...another table had their bucket before their meal came...no service with a smile..quite a chore to serve us

overall a lovely hotel and brilliant food. however i couldn’t help but notice the lack of respect from staff members to other fellow staff. i think staff for a hotel this nice should be kind and attentive and not out right rude.

There was not much left in cafe after spending time around the farm would have loved to try their food. But came out with pastry and cold drink. Disappointed.

Avoid room three as it has a very small window which is frosted making the room dark, good value for money but I would like rooms to be cleaner than they were when I was there

Typical mediocre pub food. Nothing special or exceptional at all.

A lovely gastropub in the middle of nowhere, yet with easy access to motorways. There's ample parking at the front and around the back. For the last few years we have visited The Hollybush on Christmas Eve, for my aunt's birthday lunch. It's a special occasion for this, and also a chance to get the family together close to Christmas. The experience never disappoints, with a great selection of seasonal and general pub grub, elevated. There's a smashing choice of beers on and off tap, and wines too. Great cocktails as well, as my mum loves a well made Godfather. The food has lots of unusual and creative edges for a pub, such as sticky pigs in blankets, more moreish than normal, as well as a fondue made from Camembert. The meat is fantastic, such as plump pork with crispy fat, locally- made faggots and lamb chops (you can everything served in a huge Yorkshire Pudding if you like). Desserts include the best chocolate fudge cake I have had in a while, the reliable affogato, and luxury hot chocolates. The menu is quite large which is usually an indicator of poor quality, but the food is never less that exceptional, and service is warm and friendly. On a foggy winter's afternoon, ask to be seated by the log burning stove, you won't regret it. Three courses, a lot of drink, and service charge came to around £sixty per person.

We stayed here whilst on a business trip. It tied in with the local carol singing and it was just a really lovely experience. The room is great value for money and would definitely recommend. The breakfast was delicious.

The staff were really helpful, listened and responded to all my requests quickly and effectively. The room was beautiful and the food was perfect. Thank you.

Un grupo de nosotros visitó The Limes ayer por la noche para una celebración de cumpleaños. Es un lugar encantador, pero lamentablemente decepcionado por el espantoso servicio. Solo parecía haber dos miembros del personal esperando en el comedor, uno era totalmente inexperto y no tenía ni idea (no es su culpa si no había sido entrenado) y como consecuencia el otro se precipitó de sus pies. Problemas que experimentamos, incluyendo un servicio muy lento, el nuevo miembro del personal no sabe qué bebidas venden, qué medidas para venderlos o cómo trabajar la "labranza" en el bar. Luego, cuando los platos principales llegaron finalmente, uno de nuestros huéspedes fue servido con verduras en su plato que todavía estaban congelados sólidos! (¿Me hizo preguntarme qué tan bien se había "cocinado" todo lo demás?) Esa comida fue finalmente reemplazada después de que otros en el grupo ya habían terminado la suya, y luego mientras la invitada todavía estaba comiendo su comida reemplazada, el personal comenzó a limpiar la mesa y quitó los platos de todos los demás - muy mala etiqueta que dio la impresión de que solo querían deshacerse de nosotros, así que no nos quedamos mucho más tiempo! Good job this pub has finally, went with friends a week before it closed and could not believe the attitude of the old lady behind the bar, she was rude and abrupt to the couple before me as she charged £3 for a glass of water with a dash if blackcurrant, poured me a pint of Guinness in a Carling glass which of course was unacceptable, I said i am not having in that, luckily their was a guy behind the bar who fetched s glass from from the back which was obviously much better, she does not have any customer knowledge how on how treat people and to be honest is hopeless behind the bar, thank god the wacky the GK and her has gone .
