Just returned from a lovely carvery at the Gate. It was fantastic. Lovely food with a great selection. Staff are very friendly. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

Beautiful setting with stunning views. Great pub food and drinks for the whole family. Perfect for walkers and cyclists, too.

Best takeaway for miles. The food is delicious and portions generous. Having been away for.a while and tried others, it was so nice to have a delicious takeaway last week.

I think they forgot to put the chicken in my chicken chow mein, won’t be returning.

Went for lunch on Sunday and I will not be returning, Pie was awful, veg from a tin . Owner asking friends to place 5 stars on review . Had two drinks charged different prices. Dreadful place , will not be returning .

We enjoyed xxcellent food and service during a group meal at this pub. We were made very welcome and every thought their starters and main were first class and pitched at a reasonable price. What was welcomed is the menu is a level above the usual pub menu with several fish dishes and an additional menu of specials Would return again
