I’ve been so many times since Jack took over the pub. I’ve been with a large group of ladies, with single friends and couples. Every time the service and food is superb. Even ringing to book a table is polite and effortless. My favourite dish is the sharing starter platter of humus, warm flat breadand fried halloumi from the summer time. Loved the salmon on crushed new potatoes/ bubble & squeak but recently had hake & borlotti beans. Today our Sunday roast was superb. Thank you to all your staff. You are doing a great job where many pubs are failing. We will be back.

A chaotically run shop . Called in to pick up 2 litres of whole milk and 1 litre of semi skimmed . Staff seemed all over the place no organisation skills or customer interaction whatsoever. People were getting wrong orders And to add insult to injury when I checked my bank statement I was billed £9.90 for two bottles of milk . I hate giving bad reviews but they won’t be in business long if they continue in this vein .

I discovered this place whilst staying in the area and looking for a spot for morning coffee. Absolutely fantastic coffee & service, the staff couldn't be more helpful and the cakes were a lovely mid-morning treat. Will definitely be back for lunch next time I'm in the area.

We booked dinner, bed and breakfast at this hostelry without knowing anything about it and were very impressed with the overall experience. The staff were welcoming, cheerful and friendly. The menu choices were varied and interesting, the food quality and value was good and the ambience was cosy and relaxing - thank you!

As a frequent solo diner around all of the Cotswolds, I have frequented many local eateries and have previously stayed at the Crown. Last night I thought I would indulge myself by dining there. I had two starters rather than one main. The service was excellent, the team were friendly and attentive and the food was 1st class!! Thank you Reece, you really are a top chef, funds permitting I may come back again tonight !!

First popped into the Cafe on the way to the m50 for a pitstop about 12 months ago.oOn that occassion ordered a jacket potato with cheese. Took 40 mins and then it had cream cheese covered with a birds dropping size of hard cheese. Disgusting. Called in again this weekend as driver was hungry and ordered 2 lots of salad sandwich, a sausage roll and a slice of cake. Cost, 24.00. Asked for mayo but didn't have any. Sandwich consisted of two slices of dried bread and the salad was a lettuce leaf, a chunk of tomatoe and a slice of cucumber. Barely covered the meat but meat was OK, 2 slices of ham. Put together by a 4 year old by the looks of it. Cake was good though. However in future I will be using the mobile snack bar in the nearby lay-by if he's there next time I'm passing.

We came across this cafe while on holidaying in the area. Initially we were just going to stop for a drink but after seeing the menu we decided to have an early lunch. The menu had a good selection of hot and cold choices as well as a large option on a specials board. I went for the all day breakfast which was one of the best I have had at a cafe. It came with 2 eggs of my choice, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, black pudding, mushroom, tomato, baked beans and perfectly fried bread. The OH had an open steak sandwich on cream cheese with wedge potatoes and an amazing side salad that wasn't your usual few leafs with cucumber and tomato. We even took a couple of scones home with us as they looked delicious (and they were). All the staff were friendly, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our food. It's a shame we found this lovely cafe at the end of our stay.

We were staying in a holiday let just up the road from The Star Inn and no end of entries in the guest book mentioned it, so we had to go and try it! It's superb reputation is more than justified; everyone who works there has a smile on their face, the meals are so tasty and well presented and if you're anywhere nearby - you HAVE to go!
